Saying PSG is the best team across Europe sounds a bit shallow to me, I am.not saying you are absolutely right or wrong, but then I need to get a basis upon which I will align with this judgment because there has be generally accepted basis upon which PSG surpasses others for us to agree to this assumption.

PSG is the current champion of the European Champions League, and we all know that the Champions League includes all the strongest clubs, and that the winner of the Champions League becomes the strongest club until another club emerges to win the Champions League. For me, this is the best way to determine the strongest team in Europe each season. I don't see any other way, so we have to accept that currently PSG is the strongest club in Europe.

I agree with that assessment. While it's hard to admit, PSG are the Champions League champions and the strongest team in Europe right now. If no other team succeeds, and PSG successfully defends the trophy, they remain the strongest. Of course, there are many other clubs who are also very good and successful in the Champions League, such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, but PSG are currently the reigning champions.

I don't know if consistency will be enough because then they will have to challenge much stronger teams than those they have challenged so far and it will not be easy Paris San Geramn are certainly lurking there and are ready to hurt Lens who are trying to keep the advantage with gritted teeth

I did said it before that last season PSG got the trophy because they had lesser attention on them amd defending a title is most often tougher than winning it in the first stance.  This season is quite different, although quite a number of the top teams are not looking like they are in their best shape, but then it is not a complete advantage for PSG just yet. They will still have to challenge these top teas to a victory if they will win back the champions league title.

Paris Saint-Germain have not been able to progress unilaterally this season as we can see that they are now in second place with one point less, however we will soon see this best club in France take the field against the Portuguese club in a historic Champions League match. On paper and based on statistics, the French club would definitely be ahead in my opinion, but the current form of this team doesn't seem strong to me and they don't seem determined.

Besides, it can be said that at least in the UEFA Champions League this team is still in a respectable place as their position is now third, at this stage if they can win that historic challenging game in UCL against Sporting CP, I think their points tally will increase to 16.

Well , they are starting favorites against Le Havre, let's see if they face a team in the relegation zone they can finally win.

AS Monaco's performance has been so poor in the last few matches. They are far from people's expectations that they could perform better this season, but inconsistency in play and a crisis within the team have made them very unlucky and caused their position to drop further in the standings.

Their next game is against Le Havre maybe they can take advantage to get points. But if they lose in the end, then that's bad news for them.

You are aware that domestic league has nothing to do with European or international competitions, otherwise those winning it aren't obligatory the first in the league. Chelsea for example won FIFA Club World Cup in the USA although being fourth in English Premier League.
I will not deny that being in top of the league is an influenced factor after all but it is not the main thing. Paris Saint-Germain suffered from injuries and the outcomes of its games aren't that good. This team is far from its previous performance and I doubt also they will avance a lot even if they were able to pick the top place in Ligue 1.

PSG are more unpredictable this season. They can lose points in unexpected matches. It is valid for the Ligue 1 and Champions League both. For example you would remember how it ended 0-0 against Athletic Club.

As for the Ligue 1 they could have easily won all of their matches so far. Let's say similar to Bayern Munich's form in the Bundesliga at least. This is why Lens are still able to keep their lead. But until when will this last?

And the French champions lost to the Portuguese side..I’m really disappointed and I really don’t think PSG will be able to defend the champions league title again this season, they’d dominated the game but Sporting got the goal and they won and got the three points, the Champions League is all about the knockout stages and we are close to that, let’s see if their performance will improve.

PSG are now fifth in the Champions League and just behind them is Sporting..having the same pints as them after winning them with two goal to one.

In the Ligue 1, I still think PSG can defend the title because they are just one point below Lens and Lens will meet Marseille and that should be a tough game for them. If PSG get to win Auxerre and Lens either draw of lose against Marseille then PSG will surely reclaim their top spot in the league.

You might be surprised that's not the big matches that Lens will drop points. There is nothing bad if you keep doubting the chances of Lens topping the league till May and their performance in the league when you are already seeing that since they moved to the top of the league their performance has changed for better and they are in a good form which means they can stand the chance to extend their points if PSG drops more points. PSG is a better side and they have more opportunities of winning the league but they are not performing so well this season if not they should be very far from the other team already but Lenz is the team doing so well just that they have just one point difference. If they have the financial capabilities to sign more players it's going to be difficult for PSG to overtake them because their performance is eve more better.

With the way Lens is playing and PSG is having a poor performance? I think Lens can win the league if they want to win it, the only thing that can stop lens is if they lose matches or draw games that makes them to drop a points, PSG performance is very poor, sporting beat them and makes everyone think they can not do better this season, it looks like PSG can not play well without their complete squad of is it that Luis Enrique can is planning to have a bad season so that he will leave the club after he refused to sign a new contract?

PSG we all saw last season is different from this season, they missed a lot of chances, they don’t have the spirit of fighting for the team like last season, PSG should be careful and make sure they have a good coach if Luis Enrique leave the team because if he leaves PSG this season they will definitely change their performance, he has done a lot for the team and the team should keep the fighting spirit in them even if he leaves the club.

I can acceptable many people doubt with Lens credibility and consistent performance for stopping PSG dominance how difficulty for any teams get consistent performance exactly at crucial match. Lens has shown their top performance until game week 18 leading top position with 1 points remaining and take advantage of PSG have focus at Champion League match after last night defeating by Sporting Lisbon.
Lens have won 14 matches in a row all competition and upcoming match against Marseille, for the first half meet Lens success beating Marseille 2-1 and surely for upcoming match next week Lens keep dominance to win the match and untouchable at the top position standings from PSG.

Also true that 1 point alone is not a big difference, but I wouldn't underestimate Lens' performance, they have a team that is prepared and performs as well as PSG.
PSG have every chance to come back, but not that Lens are willing to give up their place easily.

Speaking about Lens, I don't think they are still able to be number 1 until now but iam wrong. I’m not following it closely, but it seems like it has been more than 3 weeks. I haven't watched directly, but I know that Lens has some discarded players from the EPL. This includes Florian Thauvin (former Newcastle), Odsonne Edouard (former Crystal Palace), and Malang Sarr (former Chelsea). These three players have become the mainstays for Lens' new coach. With their 3-4-3 formation, they can play effectively with tight pressing like in the EPL.

They are able to play fast, are effective on set pieces, and can build counterattacks. Although it hasn’t been proven to be great yet, if they can maintain consistency, PSG should be cautious. Overconfidence isn't good for PSG; they need to stay serious. PSG were the European champions last year, this year everything is different, and there will be many different possibilities.

PSG is still having good squad but their performance  as team is miserable, they are having 2 defeats in Champions league while they are having second spot into Ligue 1 with 1 point difference from Lens, is surely achievable still things are not on track like they enjoyed in the last season.

After watching their performance in all competitions, it looks like they are going to be having only one chance to win trophy and it's Ligue 1 while they already won Super Cup and lost in Copa de France, their chances in Champions league are also looking not realistic. Hopefully Luis Enrique will be doing something special and bring good energy to his players for aiming good results in rest of this season. Marseille is also having good squad with their recent changes, can bring good excitement for the title race.
