The new season is going to be something entirely different from what it used to be based on the performance of Lens last season, there was an exceptional improvement in their performance when compared to what they used to be which is a sign of improvement. They have always been a mid table team the last couple of years before the just concluded season when they finished second. That was a good achievement as PSG finally got to play a challenging season. I won't compare Lens to Arsenal because Arsenal spent several consecutive seasons finishing top area and 2nds before finally winning the trophy in the just concluded season.

Another factor to consider is that RC Lens Pierre Sage who took them on that ride has now signed for the English side, Crystal palace and replaced by Dino Toppmoller who arrived in June.
