It’s obvious that it was a mistake from him. Chelsea is having just three matches left, and if they can win all three matches they are having left, they will be having just 9 points. Chelsea is currently having 54 points, so if all their three matches left are played and they win, they will be having 63 points, so there is no way they can get to 4th position. Aston Villa is already having 67 points, so even if they can’t win any of the matches they are having left, Chelsea can’t take over their position. I don’t really think it’s going to be easy for Chelsea to end the season in the top 5, but if they keep on with their good performance and Newcastle lose at least a match, then they will be able to end the season in the top 6.

I think, it will be difficult for Chelsea to win all their remaining matches to achieve all those points, because their performance was very poor from the beginning of the tournament that made others teams to be ahead of them and it will not be easy for Chelsea to win all those matches.The team you can expect that kind of winning from is Manchester city, which many people know that they will win all their remaining matches to take that position from Arsenal to repeat what happened last season to win the premier league title again. I think, top 5 position will be impossible for Chelsea to achieve in this season, because there are still some strong teams ahead of them which they will not allow Chelsea to cross 6 or 7 position before the end of the tournament.

On a paper, it wont be difficult for Chelsea to win all the 3 remaining matches because the 3 remaining opponents can be considered as easy team to beat compared to the 2 teams they have beaten previously (West Ham and Spurs). Mathematically they still have the chance to finish in the 5th position but they also need to rely on other results. In my opinion, there will be no significant changes on the standing at the of the season so I guess Chelsea will stay in where they are now.

Tottenham's performance has not been that good recently; they are no longer performing the same way as they were at the beginning of the season, and Chelsea have shown some consistency recently. I think Chelsea are fighting to end the season at the top 5 in the table, and with all indications, I think they can continue performing this way.

Not just consistency but you can as well see the team play have improved quite significantly and the style of play is quite different now, more players have shown improvement and if they should keep up the performance they will be able to challenge Tottenham if they continue being sloppy and lose more matches.

They can just be in great form now and in their next match they’ll just disgrace you and lose woefully to their opponent. They have shown how inconsistent they can be throughout the season and i am surprised if people don’t actually put their trust in them anymore because they have disappointed us a lot if times especially when they face opponents that are easy. It's true Chelsea may not be able to finish at top four this season because before they got back inform.it was already looking late as we had just few weeks to the end of the season before they got back some form with which they are putting out brilliancy recently but then Manchester united has continually made their fans forget how it feels to win a game l, I'm making this comparison because these are two teams in the premier league this season them looks like are out of their glory days anymore a d now in their struggling days but one still keeps trying.

I agree with you, even though Chelsea have not been able to show their best performance, currently they are showing quite good progress, so there is a process shown by their current coach. Not that good, but what they have shown recently gives hope that they might be better next time.

Their failure in building this team was because their management was too hasty in making decisions, which ultimately harmed themselves. If only they could consider the decisions they make a little more maturely, I think they wouldn't be as bad as what we've seen from them lately. Management must learn from their past mistakes, lest they repeat them.

They will start next season, and they can take advantage of the time to make their team even better prepared for the next season. They are one of the big teams in the Premier League, so I hope they can provide tough competition again.

As long as pochettino will not be so stupid in changing the strategy then chelsea has very big chance to win the remaining games. Pochettino has inverted chelsea's strategy like pre season and it's working really well. Expect pochettino to do the same thing again in the upcoming games. We will be seeing more improvements to come from chelsea soon.
Im still feeling very positive to the chelsea after it was destroying some big clubs with the inverted strategy used by pochettino. The positive trend can still continue as long as pochettino will not be stupid enough to change the strategy with his garbage strategy.

I can't even believe that Chelsea will be where they are now on the table with their disappointing form that even the coach can't predict when they're going to perform better. I know the fans just want some magic to happen this season but this is the end of the magic for Chelsea, if is to get to the top 4 I don't think it will happen with Newcastle who are trying to struggle their way through to the top 4 as well, I don't feel it would be that easy for the Blues.
Before the end of the season they still have one more game to lose, if I'm a fan I won't hope on them to display a better performance or I won't say they're on track like Pochettino said that the project is progressing, I don't buy that, is like he sees a better Chelsea when they win but if they lose Pochettino will say trust the process, this man should man up and face his fears.

That is one of the major problem they are facing at the club, the manager is just too incompetent to handle a team like Chelsea, and they would have been in a better position on the league table if they were actually winning most of this smaller teams they lose and drew with, especially the match against shelfied united and against Burnley, if they had won those two matches they drew, by now they would have had at least four more points which would have taken them above Newcastle united and and just two points behind Tottenham, so their inconsistency has really cost them this season no doubt.

And another thing that really needs to be addressed at the end of the season is the managerial position, because I really don't think Mauricio pochettino can build anything good here, considering the fact that he is just an average coach and I really do think the Chelsea job is bigger than him due to expectations, I strongly believe that Chelsea would have been in a better position if they had a better manager in charge of the team, so a change is really needed if Chelsea wants to progress and be better next season.

Chelsea's chances of finishing fifth are extremely low at this moment consider you shall also count the upcoming fixtures owned by totenham and newcastle. Then you ou know what? Look at the current standing. Chelsea is ranked seventh, but its maximum score is 63 points. It means that Tottenham can secure a place in the Europa League if the club wins two more matches without even losing in these matches, i know that it has three unplayed match but it sounds impossible for the lily white win against city.
I'm not counting the match against City because Tottenham may struggle to beat them. It may even lose to Manchester City soon consider totenham in the poor state. Chelsea are currently considering Pochettino future at Stamford Bridge, I think it is very natural Chelsea do because indeed this season Chelsea performance has been inconsistent, lucky for Pochettino in the last game they can win and make them now able to compete in the Europa League zone after Manchester United also suffered a defeat to Crystal Palace,  If you look at Chelsea's game this season of course you know why the fans are getting fed up with Pochettino, Chelsea game this season is quite bad and we can even see they just make passes backwards and sideways without any meaningful goals and not make the opponent depressed.

No, there is no way Chelsea will be able to close the gap of 6 points with three matches remaining, they are lucky that Manchester United are doing even worse and they have dropped below them, they would have to focus on not slip back lower. And Newcastle also began to play much better at the end of the season, so Chelsea won’t be able to bypass them either. And Tottenham still has a difficult match with City where they will most likely lose points, so they are able to retain 5th place.

People can change, from players to coaches, and Pochettino with his talent can change and upgrade himself, and win trophies. If coaches like Ranieri, Spaletti can win trophies after many years and seasons as a runner up, without league trophy, don't feel so pessimistic with Pochettino.

He is a good head coach and I believe if he manages a big club, is given good budget for player transfers, chances to build up a squad he wants, and has enough time and patience from the club, he will succeed, sooner or later, matter of time only.

I knew that Pochettino did not win big trophies so far in his coach career but I don't underestimate his capability as a head coach.

 Chelsea can rest easy now they are above Man UTD because I don't see the Red devils overthrowing them anytime soon because doing that will mean they will win Arsenal and Chelsea will lose their match which I feel is a high impossibility.
Riding on the high of defeating Tottenham and West Ham, they will want to do more damage to Nottingham forest when they travel to City ground on Saturday but knowing how they can come from performing excellently one game or two to bottling the next, I'm expecting surprises. I also doubt the board at Chelsea will keep Pochettino even if he manages to win the three games but wasn't able to hit their target; which is to play in the Europa league, since qualifying for the Europa conference league will be a disappointing one for fans and a step down from what they are used to making which is champions league.

When Chelsea had a lot of bad results previously, many people criticized Pochettino. But now it seems that Pochettino has succeeded in improving Chelsea's performance quite well. And I'm sure the criticism of Pochettino has also decreased now. And maybe Pochettino will stay at Chelsea longer with Chelsea's situation improving. But I think everything will depend on Chelsea's performance in all the remaining games this season. Because if Chelsea manages to maintain their good performance and win all the remaining matches then I'm sure Pochettino will also start to get appreciation from everyone. The top five positions are still being fiercely contested by four teams who still have the opportunity to get that position. Because the four teams I mean still have three matches at the end of this season, they are Tottenham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester United. If Tottenham still wants to maintain their top five position until the end of the season, of course Tottenham must be able to win at least the next two matches at the end of this season. Because the other three teams have to win the three remaining matches for them and hope that Tottenham will not win again in the remaining matches.
