Arsenal won by just one goal at home to Tottenham although it was a hard fought win. There was no shortage of tension between the two teams, with Tottenham attacking Arsenal a lot but in the 64th minute Arsenal scored a goal to equalise. Despite a lot of attacks, Tottenham could not get the ball out of Arsenal's goal, due to which they lost at home. However, Arsenal is currently in the second position of the points table in the EPL, Manchester City is still the strongest this season, to compete against them, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle teams need to play better. If Arsenal can improve their performance, they can certainly compete against Manchester City.

The loss of several important pillars was really felt in last night's match, what else can Arsenal do? Arsenal must focus more on maintaining the depth of their defense and it was very successful, Tottenham who had many opportunities and controlled the midfield could not penetrate the defense built by Arsenal, especially I was amazed by Raya in the first half he made many important saves and kept a clean sheet in last night's match.

Arsenal were really in control of Tottenham in this match, they did play the ball a little more than Tottenham, it looked sad in my opinion, the only goal that Gabriel got from a corner kick in the 64th minute marked Arsenal's victory, Raya fought very hard, he blocked the ball that came to his goal, he was quite great in this match, but I think Arteta needs to improve how Arsenal must be consistent in playing the ball so that the opponent's chances are not too many to build a dangerous attack.

It is a disappointed defeat with Tottenham as they wasted some opportunities to have goals including a distant shot of Kulusevski in injury time of the second half. Tottenham shown their strength and good ability to switch from defense to counter attack as well as in proactive attacks but they had to pay high cost with not too good ability of finishing in this match.

I still think that this year could be Arsenals year, they have done so well for so many seasons and they had trouble with City so far but I think City could finally have a season where they end up losing some points where they do not expect to lose, that could be very important situation. Arsenal with this win in a derby London with Tottenham shown many things for their improvements. Strong in mentality, patience in waiting for chance to beat opponent, and ability to secure their advantage but they actually gave Tottenham several opportunities in this match. If opponent is not Tottenham, maybe Arsenal would have gotten at least one conceded goal or even more.

Anyway, they can move forward with this winning, and continue their title race with Manchester City that currently have a very great form.

This match was quite competitive, but it cannot be denied that Manchester United was superior in every way compared to the Southampton players. Yes, I also agree with your opinion, Southampton doesn't seem completely ready to compete in the Premier League. Because this can be seen from the 4 matches that Southampton has played so far and the results have all ended in defeat. Maybe Southampton actually needs more experienced players and coaches to be able to compete better in the English league. Honestly speaking the both players (Rice and Odegaard) are very important and there absence made the Arsenal side to be weak even if they got a win. And is really bad to see that whenever a key player is serving a ban or out due to injury it shows, which is not good for other teams to know their weakness, so Arsenal only prove that they can't play good football without some of these key players.
Other players can score goals but like you said Arsenal need a natural number 9, that position is extremely vacant, let's forget the fact that Kai Havertz is running that position and getting goals, no he's not a complete striker to me, no doubt he's trying but Arteta and Edu need to get someone to help the team.
Even if Odegaard takes like 2 more weeks to recover from his injury I still think Arteta need a plan B to get the business done because relying on a particular player isn't healthy if you want to win the league title and we know how Manchester City operate, when they need something they go all out for it, so I think Arteta need to reshuffle the team in case any sort of injuries or suspension comes up.

Although Ten Hag is still missing Tyrell Malacia, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Daniel Gore and Mason Mount, I think Manchester United has the potential to maintain consistency. Because in the next 3 matches, the Red Devils will face relatively easy opponents, namely Barnsley, Crystal Palace and Twente. How can you even call that header from Gabriel a lucky one man?! How?who says such a thing? I can agree Tottenham Hotspur played more than them no arguments, but won't agree the goal was luckily ship into the goal post. I've known them to be this way since the time of Wenger. Tottenham had chances to score but they screwed things up.

Had it been they never won that match, I have a strong believe Erik is going to leave Manchester City because so far, Southampton hasn't win a single game since the beginning of this season neither has they draw any match, it's loss on loss even with Nottingham Forest and you expected less from Manchester united, it will be be a thing of shame not to win this match even though it's not a home match.
