But it was still a good game plan choice I believe. Juventus were doing the same also. I mean that they were putting Morata right alongside Ronaldo and they played with two forwards like that all the time. Solskjaer tried the same and he must be very happy after this 3-0 victory. He still has a chance to make things better and we will see if he will succeed in the coming matches.

I was so surprised that Ole could come up with that formation. But after I understood that Sir visited the training ground yesterday, I knew he suggested the formation.
Ole on his own cannot remember to pair Ronaldo and Cavani. Since after getting Ronaldo, he decided that Cavani should die on bench.

It was good for Ole and Manchester United because they won. Regardless of whether it was Ferguson's idea or not it is certain that Manchester United performed better in today's match vs Tottenham and that's enough to make the players quite excited on the field.

I was surprised by the defeat of Manchester City vs Crystall Palace today because I think City are quite consistent in winning match while Crystall Palace are not. I didn't watch the second half for that match and don't know how City should lose, but it's true that Manchester City struggled to score today.

Like I said earlier, it was same like Chelsea formation. 3 main defenders, 2 wing backs , 2 defensive midfielders and attacking midfielders and striker. If we compare both the teams formation, then the major difference is that Chelsea works out with two attacking midfielders and one striker while United today dropped two strikers and one attacking midfielder- Bruno Fernandes to link them up.

The main change I saw from the deployment of the formation was that it gives the team more possession and helps the players to adopt some new roles. For the formation to work better it needs players with good passing and ball winning abilities to work the formation to the best. Right now United players aren't at their best but the formation should work for them for a while.

Great win for MU today but i am not completely convinced that this side can win the EPL this season even though they grabbed all 3 points today. The Tottenham side this season has been on very bad form and not playing like the team we use to know with a very unmotivated Harry kane who is looking like he no longer wants to be at the club. I will be waiting to see results from MU next fixtures against Atalanta and Manchester city. If it's a win, i probably may rethink and maybe change my mind on my support for the sack of the MU coach Ole.

It's going to be a bumpy ride for United. Today you will see beautiful results, tomorrow, the performance will make you want to quit supporting them whether Ole is sacked or not. Don't expect United to have so very long run of unbeaten matches or form.

As for Spurs, something wrong is going on with those lads. Last season, the Son-Kane partnership was so lethal, but looking at today's match. They totally looked clueless in front of goal

As far as I know, he is given only a one-match chance which is going to be against Tottenham tomorrow evening. If he somehow manages to get a win in this, which I don't think so, then he will get another chance of one or two-match. If he loses, he should be getting sacked immediately. And personally, I don't think that Manchester United can win this really tough match for them.

I already read that SAF stepped in to give him one more game to prove his worth but where did the other two matches chance came from? Making this a game per game basis to sack him or not is a funny way to put more pressure on the manager. I find that disrespectful somehow and Ole should just relinquish the job if that's really the case.

And Ole Solskjaer benefited from his chance in a very good way today. Manchester United destroyed Tottenham with a 3-0 score in this away match. Nuno Espirito Santo was quite thoughtful in the last minutes as his position is not very guaranteed at Tottenham also. But Solskjaer must be really contented about this very positive result right after being demolished by Liverpool. But the most important point here is to keep this win series up. Otherwise, there is a strong probability for Solskjaer to get sacked.

Well I don't think this winning belongs to Solskjaer tactics. Until I see ManU winning again, I will not say anything positive about him. Spurs aren't that top team, winning a game with 1 goal and losing another isn't something to be proud of..

it looks like ole's tactics will work when he is criticized very sharply by all parties because if he is not talked about then his tactics will not work
but on the other hand, MU's performance in this match was very good, they dominated from start to finish.
but this cannot be used as a reference and they must continue this positive trend when they want to be in the top 4 in the final standings

The fixture between Tottenham and Manchester United was a match that many expected United to lose because of the last result but there are just certain fixtures like this one that will bend towards history and history has definitely been rewritten as Manchester United beats spurs at their home turf and am glad that I went all in with this match in favor of United of course. And the difference today certainly has to be Cristiano Ronaldo and hope he keeps what his doing

Many Man Utd fans wanted tottenham to defeat them so as to ensure Ole's sack however they won convincingly a big relief for Ole atleast for a while, they have Man City ahead another test for Ole whether he would retain his job, time will tell, meanwhile tottenham who once top EPL while Arsenal was at the bottom is now behind Arsenal on the table, quite incredible performance by the gooners ironically whose resurgence started when they defeated tottenham.

Well there appears to be a clear vision that the MU players themselves do not want the coach fired. In fact, it seemed to me that on the contrary, they want Ole to leave the head coach position (I had such suspicions). The only game that looks remotely fun so far looks to be United vs Spurs. That is a close game, sure United looks better on paper but we have seen them lose to Leicester in such a bad fashion that nothing is guaranteed anymore, we could see them lose a lot.

So, I am guessing that we are going to see a close game and not a big difference in teams. Aside from that all the other games looks like favorites vs underdogs or teams that are mid table vs midtable hence not really too much fun. The difference between the top 5 team vs top 10 team is not really that much in Premier league, still a good level of difference but much closer than other leagues, however it is still a good few levels higher and makes it not so entertaining.

I was surprised by the defeat of Manchester City vs Crystall Palace today because I think City are quite consistent in winning match while Crystall Palace are not. I didn't watch the second half for that match and don't know how City should lose, but it's true that Manchester City struggled to score today.

The moment Aymeric Laporte got red carded in the dying minutes of the first half, I knew it was going to be a long day for City, losing one nil and being one man down against a crystal palace side that is ready to sit back and park the bus for 'days', city dropped three very crucial points and I also think they were very sloppy today and weren't sharp to say the least, I'm sure Pep would have expressed his displeasure with the performance, and they have to improve sooner than later as the fixtures are lining up thick and fast. Having said that, is it just me or does anyone else scratch their head and wonder why City spent so much money to sign Jack Grealish, he really looks so ordinary, nothing more than a 40-45 million pound player.

Manchester United and Solskjaer finally got a very satisfying result for themselves and the supporters.

It was satisfying but at the same time, fans were expecting them to win especially after being trashed by Liverpool. Ole had his job on the line and he cant screw this one up so it turns out to be a great result. Anyway Ole should stick Cavani and Ronaldo together in the next match as well, its much better than having Ronaldo alone with few younger players that wont even pass to him sometimes

I believe this is their second clean sheet of the season.

Yeah and the first one also had Varane on the team as well. Its much better than leaving the backline to only Maguire and Lindelof

... The difference between the top 5 team vs top 10 team is not really that much in Premier league, still a good level of difference but much closer than other leagues, however it is still a good few levels higher and makes it not so entertaining.

I don't agree on the "not fun" and "not entertaining" part since it's expected there will be difference in levels due to massive gap in funding but I can agree the talent in the top 10 isn't that far. The difference in winning or losing mainly comes from the team's cohesion on the pitch and manager's tactics.

Well, it might seem so! My annoyance is just with Spurs for giving them this win, though Spurs themselves have not been really doing great in the EPL lately. I doubt we could hope to see more wins from Manchester United in the forth coming games. It always seems so with them, win 1 and loose 3. Its all there game plan for now or should I say that of Ole just to keep himself in the club. It's always going to be a matter of time though, his definitely going to last in Manchester United with this sort of performance, that's for sure.

it could be just one bad season for them, as long as they don't sell some of their stars since even with them they are perfoming poorly, but they are not doing that bad, they're 2 points away from Man utd for a spot in Europa League and temporarily 2 points behind west ham for a champions league qualifying spot, so far they still have time to recover and losing against Man utd is not that big of a deal.

Everyone thought chelsea would struggle without key strikers , they are all injured and there is no report saying when the both expected to return.
the defenders seems to be more productive scoring goals in this period of having no pure strikers for chelsea

mourinho have a better start managing tottenham tho, levy might feel making wrong decision for sacking him now with all these disappointing result

After big win Arsenal is in 6th position, this looks way better. They lost three in a row but never lose again in that seven match series. They have five wins and two draws. West Ham and Manchester United are also at same point so we can say Arteta flipped the situation pretty good.
Manchester City had a big lose at home, it was unexpected by many. I like Vieira's Crystal Palace, they don't lose easily. The problem was they don't also win but this time they beat one of the best teams in PL and got their second win this season. Their other win was against Tottenham so they continue to be a problem for big teams.

Yes for sure, I'm bet A lot of money from them, both are on fire and playing at home also. I hope too much for Salah to create at least 1 goal like did before but he was locked. When I see in the 1st half looks like Liverpool will make the goals parties, but changes happen in 2nd half, several players are tight on the back and strengthen to midfield. Brighton successfully turns back the situation, they could be a win if have a bit of luck.

Finally Manchester United manage to win a match, a very good result away against the spurs with 3 goals, this result could really help the team to recover some confidence after the catastrophic results in the previous rounds

They are now 8 points ahead the leader Chelsea and i think its really early to say that the United is out of the race for the premier league because they still have a very good team regardless the past matches results.

Liverpool vs Brighton was an interesting match. Brighton performance in the match was awesome, they were losing with 1 goal to Liverpool in the first half. But, they bounce back in the second half and ended the Match with 2-2 draw after Trossard scored a wonderful goal. Although, I never expected Liverpool to win the match. However, Brighton was well prepared for the match after losing their last match to Manchester City and that's why they probably achieved a draw point against Liverpool.
