It was a surprise and I lost with this because I was standing at Manchester City in this game.
They controlled almost half the field but indeed Salah's goal which started from Alisson's long kick and the error from the City defender clearly punished them in this match because indeed City defenders went too far so when Salah won the duel the only opponent was Ederson and of course this is just an easy goal for Salah.

I remember maybe in the last two seasons if I'm not mistaken I forgot exactly, but at that moment Liverpool needed a goal and Alisson got the goal that was needed in the last minute of the match. Then at this moment Alisson again made a big contribution to Liverpool's goals because Manchester City really dominated the match, but Liverpool could defend well until they finally won. We saw Erling Haaland, struggle to make an impact in that match but his efforts were not effective. He had two clear opportunities to score but both of them lacked power. Kevin De Bruyne remains one of the best midfielders in the world, he was in total control of the game. I had to keep watching that brilliant turn from Salah before he accurately hit the net. Liverpool has shown that they are also a formidable contender for the Premier League title.

I don't understand why you think the Newcastle team is weak. Have you not seen the performance of Newcastle this season? Newcastle has lost just one of their 10 matches this season. On the other hand, Manchester United has been defeated in 3 matches. Newcastle's performance is very stable in this match.

Manchester United's performance has been poor since the start of the season. I would say United has managed to stabilize itself compared to the earlier matches of the season. Against Newcastle, they had several attacks. But due to the good performance of Newcastle's defenders, United could not score any goals. All in all, I would say that the match was quite enjoyable.

The 3 at the back has been Guardiola's formation which is 3-4-2-1. Because he capitalises more on his midfield when dealing with weaker club, bur when he saw the might Klopp came with he had to adjust to 4 at the back to strengthen his defense. Starting Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't a good start because is kind of old and may not be available for the long runs as before. We will say the same thing when Manchester United fail to get 3 points but we will say something different when they managed to win like when they beat Arsenal 3-1

Manchester City tried hard enough to score. But they fail again and again. I did not see any role of Haaland. Both teams attacked well. However, Salah was able to score with the great skill of Alisson. Beating Man City will boost Liverpool's confidence.
