You are certainly right, Manchester City was completely different when they lost De Bruyne and Rodri at the same time. Their midfield performance was not good and this affected their rhythm of play which resulted in a low number of opportunities created throughout the match.

If Manchester City had De Bruyne and Rodri in the match against Arsenal, then I'm sure the result might have been different. Bernardo Silva was not fully able to match the fans' expectations, so it is natural that Manchester City had little chance of winning the match. Losing twice in a row is definitely not something that is good for Pep Guardiola, but in the end I can't put it that they have completely lost their chances of retaining their title this season.

City have suffered 2 defeats in the last 2 weeks and I can say that they are not strange results for them. First of all, they had a better chance to win the game against Wolverhampton but they struggled to score. City didn't let up the pressure for a minute from the start of the match and unluckily suffered their first defeat in the league. Wolverhampton scored 2 goals with 1 shot on target because Ruben Dias scored an own goal. There wasn't much they could do against Arsenal because Arsenal are also title contenders and if they don't win at home in this kind of matches, they will stay out of the title race.

I think, Manchester city need to do something fast to ensure those players on injuries recover fast because their players are really feeling the absence of some players in the field that made them to experienced defeat from wolves 2-1 in their last two match. Manchester city president is not happy about what is happening to Manchester city, I believe their coach will do something that will bring their president and fans joy in their next match to embrace three points. Manchester city really played well in the home of Arsenal because many people thought Arsenal will use home advantage to disgrace Manchester city 3-0, but Arsenal manage to achieved one goal to defeated Manchester city at the end of the match.

Playing without rodri and KDB was greatly impacting the performance from manchester city. CIty has got so many losses in a row which is making it even more difficult to compete in EPL but city has a very strong mentality and it can comeback anytime.
Im still feeling so confidence if manchester city will able to make its comeback again soon like previous season. The comeback of some important players like KDB will be pushing the performance from manchester city even though it needs at least a few months to see that happens.
Rodri will be leaving from his card accumulation and he will be playing again for manchester city soon. I can't even imagine how good strict the competition between these clubs.

Liverpool drew away to Brighton and left 2 points on the table. Despite leading at half time they couldn't hold on to their lead and drew. I wouldn't have expected Brighton, who conceded 6 goals against Aston Villa, to be too focused in the Liverpool game but it looks like they recovered from that heavy defeat with ease. Both teams had European commitments during the week and were visibly tired.
In another game with the same scoreline Newcastle drew 2-2 away to West Ham. Newcastle, who managed to beat PSG with an excellent game during the week, failed to win this away game despite taking the lead. Despite losing the first half, Newcastle started the second half fast and scored 2 goals in 5 minutes with Isak, but they couldn't prevent the goal in the last minutes and drew.

This result was expected, we know how dangerous Brighton are from last season and they are replicating the same attitude of toughness this season making it very difficult for top teams to get a win against them. Playing away for Liverpool it was likely that the game will finish in a draw and so it was. The same as Newcastle United and westham, an expectated draw match which I don’t consider a bad result at all for all four clubs.

Have you see the state of that defenders, That liverpool defenders can not take them top the top of the league not near the top for too long.
So you know Konate and  Robertson are the too important players defending defenders. Arnold and Dirk are noy good at this just good with the ball on the leg.
People put blames too much on Kovacic, what happened to the almighty Bernado Silva,  he was absent cool he just returned for the Champions League game. Pep shouldn't have used him for that long. Kovacic was for Rodri if you ask me he did his part Pep Guardiola didn't. Blames should be on Pep.

Its quite obvious that this seasons premier league title will go to Arsenal.

The season is just starting, and only eight matches have been played. Arsenal's performance is not really bad. I am not convinced yet that the league belongs to Arsenal because Arsenal won against Manchester City, does not means they will win the league. We all saw what happened last season. Arsenal stayed in the first position for a very long time when almost everyone believed that Arsenal would win the league, but towards the end of the league, everything changed and they started performing so poorly. I can't really conclude yet about the club which is going to win.

Last season and this season are not the same is not because Arsenal lost the trophy against Manchester City they will still make the same mistake am very sure Arsenal will try their hardest to win the trophy this season because they improved more than last season, when they play against Manchester City last season man_city defeated them in previous season and this season arsenal has the opportunity to defeat them so I can say arsenal can win this trophy this season am enjoying there matches they are playing well.

Since Manchester City players have been injured, they have lost almost three matches with Newcastle, wolves, and Arsenal because they are missing some of their key players, particularly Rodri who plays midfield for the club, I am confident that if Rodriguez is on the field, Arsenal won't be able to defeat Manchester City easily, but Arsenal try their hardest to win the match, and they have lucky in the 80+ mint Mikel Arteta is performing well he will try all is best to win premier league's trophy.

But still it can affect their players positively because of the victory they had and also motivate their coach to trust them in times of selection, I can say it's a good start for Chelsea and wish the go home with the motivation of winning and come back to continue with it again, with this comeback I expect more win with them.

I am confident that Chelsea will perform well and that the fans will motivate them at Stamford Bridge, but Arsenal are in better form than Chelsea because they have many more experienced players than Chelsea because Chelsea have been playing poor games since the beginning of the season, except when they play Fulham and they started picking up form the match against Chelsea and Arsenal will be very difficult for Chelsea to win or draw the match, but football is unpredictable and anything can happen in the match, However I believe Arsenal will win the match against Chelsea because they have yet to overcome them this season.

Like I think I've said here before, I had the time to sit and watch the Manchester city verses Arsenal match from beginning to the finish for the first time since this season began, and sincerely, i do confirm that this actually is the worst game Manchester city have played that i watched.

Actually, I am a fan of Arsenal, but to be honest with you, i very skeptic that Arsenal will lose the match, this was before the game started, but while the game was ongoing, and seeing how Manchester city played, i became confident that they may likely lose the match , and a the end, they lost it.
Very bad performance from them to be honest.

Due to the game they lost against Arsenal on Sunday, which makes it a total of 2 or 3 games they have lost in a roll, this i believe will be another game that will be hard to predict, though on a normal circumstances, beating Brighton shouldn't be much of a problem to Manchester city, but right now, its kind of hard to say with facts, that they(Manchester city) will win the match against Brighton.
A draw is most likely if i am to predict.

The absence of Debruyne really affected them especially their top 9 Haaland cause he wasn't able to get more clear chances that would make him score more goals, though he really struggled and manage to score and is currently the highest goal scorer with about 8goals if I'm not mistaken, however Rodri's absence has cause them to lose 2 consecutive games and it's shown that he's been one of the main reason why City concede less goal and have been helping the defense all this while.

 I don't blame Haaland for scoring few goals lately cause they don't create better chances for him and Kelvin Debruyne who he's more familiar with and has had a better connection with on the pitch is yet to be back from injury and Haaland would be missing him alot and I doubt if he'll be about to score up to the same amount he did last season if Haaland doesn't resume soon.

I think, at this moment it seems that it will still be difficult to predict for their match, because it seems that they don't have a stable performance. But even though they look like they are unstable, but at least they can still make a result that is at least good with a draw. About Newcastle for example, because of their big win in the Champions League against PSG then of course, it makes Newcastle look like they have better quality than West Ham. Brighton could still one point from liverpool unlike when it was facing westham or newcastle. Losing sanchez and caicedo at the same time was really giving very big impact to the club. I can't even describe how bad the situation faced by brighton this time but i must say if zerbi needs to put more motivation to his club, the draw against liverpool is proving if brighton has not yet lost its capability to be a hard opponent for the big club.

We'll see that when Manchester City face Brighton. It's not an easy match either and when Pep still can't anticipate losing Rodri and KDB in midfield then it could be a big problem just like before.

I am sure Arteta is not very happy about the break. I guess he would have loved to keep playing as his team is equipped with so much confidence now. But I think that Arsenal has now demonstrated their real strength. They did not only win the game against Manchester City, but they were also the better team, which I think is more important to Arteta than the result because it could have a long lasting effect on his team. Winning a game with luck might have a temporary effect, but when you play against Manchester City and are the deserved winner in the end, that's what really improves the confidence level of a team. So surely Arsenal will go to Stamford Bridge with no other plans but to win the game dominantly.

Moreover Arsenal have just won a big match against Manchester City which has definitely made the mentality and self-confidence of Arteta's men improve.

The debut game between Arsenal and Chelsea is very interesting and tough for both parties and no side would like to concede,well Arsenal would definitely be the favorites to win the game, based on their current performance and the fact that they've won against Manchester in their previous game would give them a boost of confidence to do better against Chelsea away from home.

 They're currently on the break and alot of their players would be on International duties and the both coaches would be hoping their players involved stay fit to be selected against the derby match, both teams needs to win and would therefore need the help of their key players to give them a boost in wining the match, however Chelsea's home advantage gives them more better chance.

I am sure Arteta is not very happy about the break. I guess he would have loved to keep playing as his team is equipped with so much confidence now. But I think that Arsenal has now demonstrated their real strength. They did not only win the game against Manchester City, but they were also the better team, which I think is more important to Arteta than the result because it could have a long lasting effect on his team. Winning a game with luck might have a temporary effect, but when you play against Manchester City and are the deserved winner in the end, that's what really improves the confidence level of a team. So surely Arsenal will go to Stamford Bridge with no other plans but to win the game dominantly.

Of course, Arsenal will not be happy with this break because the whole team has found unity.
