I'm not even going to applaud Arsenal for sitting at the top of the table in this game week, they have been there before and the question is can they sit there till the end of this campaign and become champions? Only time would tell.

Just a temporary happy for the Gunners when it comes to consistency, it will back to Manchester City. Not many clubs can handle in struggle position where their key players are injured, only Pep can handle this. For the other clubs it's always full of ups and downs, maybe Liverpool, but I want to see when Salah is injured.

City was never caring about early - middle of season. City can destroy arsenal at the late game. There's no need to rush it. King city is still remain the number 1. Let them have some laughs. Arsenal fans will be once again blaming their favorite clubs if they will be getting the same result as last season. I have to say that people are always rushing to determine the winner of the league while three times EPL winner in a row is still enjoying the competition. King city is ready to destroy everything.

Currently Premier League isn't yet reach the middle season, big thing could happen e.g. Arsenal suffering lose streaks and make them relegated lol.

True, this bottle gun club never able to shoot at the right target properly. Bottle gun club will be losing EPL once again and arsenal will also make a good record to be a club that was always losing EPL after dominating EPL for five times.

Despite Emery's talent, I still didn't expect Aston Villa to rise so high, after all, they have fewer opportunities than City, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and even Newcastle.

This season is special, I've witnessed a whole lot of improvement from mediocre teams as they keep pushing for vital results this season. Aston Villa upgrade in the league have made them to become one of the best competitive average team, mere watching them and I've seen quite alot of things have change about the club, their style and courage from the players. Aston Villa are 4th position on the league table this season. Unai Emery have done quite a good job to bring out the fire in the Villans this season. They have thrashed competitive opponents and still counting.  

Yeah they have improved a lot. Some good signings were made and they are on a good momentum right now. Actually they had good players from beginning but they were just lacking in some tactics and some areas but it seems that they are doing lot better than last season. Aston Villa can easily finish in top 5-6 if they go on like this and if they are lucky then they might be able to get into top 4 easily also.

No doubt on this that Arsenal are now topping the table and all Arsenal fans are excited and feel that they will be able to maintain the first position till the end of the season. But we should not judge with only yesterday match that made them to be able to top the league where as Man City has been sitting on the first position for quite some time now.

Arsenal don't even win with a large margin when they play with smaller teams is something they need to work on seriously, on like Man City that doesn't have mercy when they get to play against smaller clubs, the citizens do bang in more than 1 goal to show that they mean business.

For a team like Arsenal or other teams like them who can always be in the top five of the standings may not be too difficult to reach the top position, but the problem in general is as you say "survive" that is always a difficult thing to do, as we know before that Tottenham are so surprising with their change in performance this season that makes them able to reach the top of the standings but unfortunately they have to go back down because they are not strong with a lot of strong competition from several other elite teams and also in addition they are unlucky because they have to lose the consistency of their best performance.

So the point is I also won't be too surprised to see Arsenal's achievements which can now top the standings because the season is still not over and there are still a lot of things that might not happen to them. After all, Arsenal's point difference with the two teams below them, Manchester City and Liverpool, is very thin and that means the top of the standings still cannot be said to be safe for Arteta's squad. The draw achieved by Manchester City in yesterday's match against Liverpool maybe it can be said to be luck for Arsenal because with that Arsenal can finally take advantage of the opportunity to seize the top position. But all this is unfinished because Manchester City will not let Arsenal stay at the top longer. Guardiola will maximize his game to get the full three points in the next match against Tottenham.

I doubt, For me Arsenal is a temporary occupant of that Premier League table right now, even the chances of them moving down the table in their next Premier League games is even high and imminent. They couldn't maintain the position the last time they had that Ample opportunity to lift the trophy when they were a few matches away from the end of the season, let alone now that the league is still far from ending. The club doesn't have the energetic squad to maintain the position to the end of the season, I still believe Manchester city has high chances of being winner come the end of the season.

You are right, Arsenal is not a team that has a good mentality when facing pressure. Last season's scenario cannot be completely ruled out as this season Liverpool and Manchester City have shown a great ability to make Arsenal fail. Currently, Arsenal still has a threat at the top of the standings because the points gap is not large, so there is no safe word for them and each match will become more difficult.

Tomorrow Arsenal have a match against Lens in the Champions League. Lens had beaten Arsenal in the previous meeting and of course Arsenal were also worried about dropping points in their home match. Arsenal is a strong team, but this team always fails to deal with high pressure, especially when teams like Manchester City and Liverpool always follow them from behind. The next two games in the Premier League are not difficult considering Arsenal will only face Wolves and Luton Town, but it is always possible to find them dropping points.

Basically, Aston Villa has succeeded in improving its quality and performance to be better from last season. But ya, because last season Aston Villa started from the relegation zone or started from the lower zone, and Aston Villa could only finish in 7th position last season. But this season, with Unai Emery success in improving Aston Villa's quality and performance, in fact at this moment Aston Villa has succeeded in being in the top four in the Premier League standings. Not only that, because in reality at this moment Aston Villa is only 2 points different from Arsenal, which are currently at the top of the Premier League standings. So ya, this season has really been a difficult season for the other favorite teams because after all, Unai Emery has succeeded in making Aston Villa become a team that will be able to compete well in the race for the title or just in the top four this season.

Arsenal has a very hard task to keep consistent till the end of season. The competition in the late season will be far more interesting.

If Arsenal can be consistent and make proper use of this opportunity since they are already topping the table and if am not mistaken since this season arsenal is just topping the table after several games and the way Brighton stated everyone was hailing them for their performance and now were is the Brighton that use to be on fire, they landed at the eight positions and even Tottenham a lot of people were arguing with me that Tottenham will carry the league and I clear told them that for now, manchester city will dominating winning the premier league. Tottenham is already in the fifth position, arsenal needs to spend and be more focused on the league and make use of every position they find their self and their next game should be against wolves, and am sure of their victory if they play hard and not look down on wolves.

The end of the season is still a long way off as we're now facing the middle of the season and it could also be difficult for them.
This season will not be the same as last season because at the moment the competitiveness is still felt. not only about Manchester City but currently Liverpool is also making a difference by making the competition in the EPL very interesting.

Araenal mang is still a lot of gaps but I think reshuffling again and again will actually create problems for themselves. Currently Arsenal is always known as one of the wasteful clubs and if in the end they have to do another overhaul I think it will not be too good for their money situation and cash movements and it will be more worth it to maximize the current strength with some emphasis especially for mentality so that the performance of their young players can be better than today.

This season won't be exactly like last, but it will still be very long, and football is very logical, so clubs like Manchester City always have ways of gaining an advantage over other teams. We will now start listing the clubs that will perform well and finish in the top five. Of course, not all of the clubs that are performing well will start acting strangely very soon, which is to be expected. Liverpool has improved this season and they are also a good competitor for Manchester City the EPL is getting more interesting with more surprises,  and I really want Arsenal to win the premier league this season since they lost the opportunity they had last season and this is another season to make amendment for their disappointment last season. and this season saka is not in form if not arsenal would have been something else this season.

For now we can't say Arsenal are going to be at the top of the table for long but going down that easy like you said ain't going to happen, fine we all know how crazy the Gunners are when it comes to disappointment we all know they're good at that but I assure you that this campaign would be very hard to kick Arsenal to go down the table.
Missing out that one time opportunity was something they won't want to repeat itself again, especially now that they have non-injury prone players in that squad I believe they can manage to do perfectly well.

That's just the problem they will have because if they are not consistent Manchester City will regain back there position, although considering what happened to Arsenal in there last season performance they will be very careful this season by making sure they never underestimate any club because that's were there failure last season started from.

So if they are more consistent in wining there matches I don't think they will have a problem maintaining there position on this premier league, but although irrespective of Manchester City being on the second position of the premier league table doesn't mean they cannot easily regain there position back, because if Arsenal losses one match Manchester City is back again on there first place.

I think another failure to defeat a fellow big hitter will give them all the confidence that Manchester  City could drop enough points for another team to take advantage. I somehow rate Liverpool more than Arsenal to challenge Manchester city better. Liverpool are arguably the team most likely to beat Manchester City to the title. After all, they have done what has become almost impossible by getting something from the Etihad. If Manchester city continue this pattern of failing to beat their closest rivals, they might lose out on the title this season.

Everyone seems to believe Liverpool have a better chance at upsetting Man City than Arsenal and to be honest I won't blame them. When did Arteta start coaching? But Jurgen has been doing that long before Arteta thought of retiring and the rivalry between Jurgen and Pep goes back to when both of them were coaches at Bayern and Dortmund and Arteta was a student if Pep. Yeah, there's the saying that the student can be better than the teacher but I don't think Arteta can do that.
I can equally say that Arsenal may not be able to stay at the no.1 position for long now because asides from Manchester City and Liverpool, we've got other tough contenders and I dunno if they've got all it takes to repeat that feat like they did last season.

I'm completely sure about that, but Arsenal should have learned from their mistakes last season. Arteta is fully responsible for building quality and mentality in all his players this season since his failure last season, but of course that is a difficult thing to do. Liverpool has improved compared to last season, Tottenham has also improved. Hence, Arsenal will not only be fighting for the title with Manchester City as Liverpool have also joined the race.

Manchester City remain the favourites, I have voted for them in this poll thread. Not sure about the possibility of other teams including Liverpool, but Arsenal is a team that has a high desire to be in the title race this season. Nobody knows because this season is still long, but Arsenal still has the opportunity to lead the standings for longer.

Tottenham Hotspur has really been exposed this season they started off hot and many would have thought they would be a contender for the English premier league title but with their recent matches they have not leaved up to the expectations.
Aston Villa on the other hand are a strong side and they showed it today after going down from an early goal they came back to be winning, I think Aston Villa would go home with all three points.

I wasn't expecting Tottenham to win against Aston Villa even though they are playing at home, where they should have an advantage. Since Tottenham players have missed games due to injury, they have not won any of their previous games, lose two draw one. Many people has shown doubts about my prediction that Spurs would lose if care is not taken against Aston, which they lose because Villa is much better this season and has made it to the top 4. Richarlison and Maddison are unavailable, so how can Spurs win their games? Even when they played Wolves, Tottenham was leading 1:0, which wolves came equalized in 90+ still won, so I have my doubts about Spurs' performance against Aston Villa.

Tottenham was playing better from the beginning of the season, and I was thinking that their performances would lead them to win the premier league title. However, it won't be possible again. After losing to Chelsea, Spur cannot play as well as they have from the start of the season. I just hope Spur will add more players in January because these performances won't get them far in the Premier League.

Arsenal are not playing much of an impressive football compared to last year. Laat year we see the team always putting efforts in attacking more than they were defending. This caused them a lot in which they were concerdding more goals that made them bottled the league to Manchester city last season.

This season we are seeing a different game from Arsenal. They prioritize how they defend and gradually push the ball to the 18 yard of their opponent for a goal. They don't force the attack pretty much and they do not find much goals even if it is a goal they need they just ensure to take that three points.

Exactly my fear bud, its like what I said in my comment on this yesterday, that I myself being an Arsenal fan should be celebrating right now for Arsenal is at the top once again, but the fact that there season still has a very long way to go, there are still several matches to be played, this made me believe, and also say that, it's too early to start celebrating, or to count their climbing to the top as any or good achievement for them, for this is exactly how they did it last season, I myself was very happy believing the they were goin to win the trophy, but at the end of the day, they could not keep up, they ended up sliding to the second place, which gave Manchester city the chance to take the trophy home.

Arsenal have indeed been doing well lately though, but like I said before, it's too early to start commending them, let's see how far they will be able to maintain the top position.

There has been progress in the Arsenal team's performance this season and they have learned from last season so Arteta has been able to cleverly fill in the gaps.
However, winning the Premier League title will not be easy like the previous season, this is the most competitive competition and very often the decision will be in the last week, likewise for Arsenal this season it will not be easy for them to win the title even though the opportunity to get it is greater. compared to last season.
This season is still very long and anything is possible.

Manchester City still has the opportunity to overtake Arsenal at the top of the standings, the competition in the top four of the standings will continue with a small difference in points. I think City still has a big chance of retaining the EPL trophy, even though they are under heavy pressure from Arsenal and Liverpool. As we know, Tottenham, Man United and Chelsea as elite clubs seem unable to compete in the top four, this gives City the freedom to lead the standings in the future.

There are still quite a lot of matches remaining, and there is still one more round to face off against other elite EPL clubs for Guardiola squad. Currently, Pep is still able to bring his team consistently, even though on the other hand he has lost important players. It is true, the opportunity for Liverpool and Arsenal to win trophies this season is quite open, but it is still too early to say that Manchester City will fail this season.

It seems like just luck for Arsenal because anyway, if for example the match between Manchester City v Liverpool did not end in a draw, of course Arsenal would not be at the top of the Premier League standings at this time. Not only that, I sure Arsenal have no guarantee to be able to stay at the top of the Premier League standings because after all, Arsenal and Aston Villa who are in fourth position are also only two points different. So yes, there are still Msnchester City and Liverpool there and will certainly continue to put pressure to Arsenal. So yes, I believe Arsenal will not last long at the top of the Premier League table, because soon Manchester City or Liverpool might take over the top position of the Premier League table.
