Arsenal haven't won a title in the Premier League for too long and I'm not sure if they still remember that. Not only Arsenal, Manchester United is also the same, although I admit that these two teams both fight to win the title in different seasons. So far only Manchester City are always more likely to win the title, they have held the title three times in a row and will probably defend it again this season.

Yeah City have always been the title favourites but over the years other teams like Arsenal have also emerged as a tough contender for the title. United still lack that edge yet and Spurs also are growing that form so I think after a few years we will be watching more competititve PL. United will take time to be a title contender again and it is doubtful if they will be soon. It all depends on how clubs develops and manages their squad for the future and how they build their atmosphere inside the club. Right now what Arsenal is doing is the right way to prepare a squad for a good future.

I agree with you that should not use two different competitions to compare a team competitiveness but I disagree with you that Arsenal will fail like how they did in the last season. They decide it, not you or me and Arsenal in this season are different than they were in the last season. Are they stronger or weaker than the last season?

At this moment, it is too early to say this but they generally have had good performances that give me thinking like they are improving and already becoming stronger.

match is still long and there are still many matches that will be played by the EPL teams and competitive competition will still take place between Arsenal and Man City to win the prestigious UCL title and the EPL title.
however, I agree with you that it is too early to speculate who will be successful in getting the title at the end of the season, while Arsenal is still quite consistent even though Man City is always the favorite, but Arteta as Arsenal coach will continue to put pressure on Man City not to be able to shift their position in the EPL.

comparing with other competitions does not really make sense because logically the performance will be different, such as Man City and Arsenal, maybe they will perform more optimally in the UCL and in the EPL they will perform with the existing strategy without having to spend too much energy but still be in safe position.

Meeting or no meeting, Man City and Arsenal will continue to be arch-rivals and no matter who wins in their meetings, they can't still judge who will be at the top of the table or who will lift the trophy among the two. In the EPL, both are wonderful this season, but one thing is that at times, they get to drop in performance and the other uses the opportunity to take the lead. You can see what happened before and after the World Cup last season, they were just switching the performance until Arsenal eventually degenerated to the point of conceding too many goals and couldn't win more matches which eventually gave Man City the advantage to win the league.

The same thing might still play out this season as they have started switching performances already, and I simply do not know why. Nonetheless, overall, I believe that Man City is more capable than Arsenal, and if they get back to their full feat, it would be difficult for any club to beat them, not even Arsenal. Also, about the UCL view, I believe the two of them are doing well even as Man City is doing better. In spite of that, the two are leading in their group and the battle continues, only that it's surer for Man City if we view it without sentiments.

I wouldn't want to go further than that, but all I know is that Liverpool, Arsenal and Man U could surprise anyone this season especially when they are determined and focused on the pitch.

Newcastle United has proven to be one of the Premier League-tough clubs this season because they have beaten Arsenal, and Chelsea in the Premier League and beaten Machester City and Manchester United in the EFL Cup respectively. It will only take Newcastle United a few years for people to see them as a serious top-four contender in the Premier League. 

If you look at Newcastle last season then maybe their performance was much better than this season, but this season they are not that consistent in the English league even though they have beaten several other strong teams such as Man United, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea. Defeats against Bournemouth, Brighton, Liverpool and Aston Villa are proof of their lack of consistency this season in the Premier League. The league still has a lot of matches left and Newcastle is required to produce positive results in order to finish in the top five and this season is not easy for Newcastle.

This week Newcastle will host Man United at home and this will be an important match for both teams because if one loses then the standings will change. The chances of who will win the match may be a little difficult to predict because both of them will definitely play carefully and I think a draw is the most likely result.

Newcastle inconsistency this season is still understandable because many players have suffered injuries, and some have received sanctions such as Tonali. However, what is interesting about Eddie Howe current squad is the stability of their performance even though they are currently facing injury problems and sanctions. We have seen their match versus Chelsea and most recently against PSG, I think the mentality they have now is better than their opponent next week, namely, Manchester United. Chelsea were defeated, most recently PSG were forced to share points, and it is feared that United will also be embarrassed at St James Park.

St James Park is now increasingly haunted with big clubs being defeated there one by one, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and PSG have felt it so far. It is very likely that in week 14 the Ten Hag squad will also feel the same way. Actually United is a big and elite club, but for some reason this season they seem to have lost their fangs, I personally find it very difficult to understand what is wrong with the Ten Hag squad.

Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal are currently the three most dominant teams in the Premier League, but we can't put all our hopes in them because we don't know which of them will fumble later and have a poor performance that will not make them not to be amongst the potential league contenders. With the recent form of Newcastle United in the Premier League this season, they have all it takes to beat Manchester United, and they have beaten Manchester United this season.

They have been playing better than Manchester United this season, so I have no doubt that Newcastle to win the match this weekend. Last season when Arsenal handed the top position to Manchester city during that time they worked so hard for nothing but  let's observe something here the Arsenal of that season has changed, in attack, defence, cooperation and they seem outstanding, any team they face it's either a draw or a win. When Arsenal played with Manchester city I didn't expect such performance for them because Manchester city is a strong team, another example Arsenal vs Chelsea most Arsenal fans has already lost all hope but they find a way to equalize. So far they are doing good job in CL and in PL also they are going strong but I feel that they have the calibre to go more strong. If they perform with more consistency I think they will be able to grow their difference on the table and this will be a huge advantage near the season end.

Liverpool are really doing well at the moment to battle for the title race among Manchester City and Arsenal, but that doesn’t mean that the other two teams can’t win the title too. Arsenal did messed up last season for given the trophy to Manchester City because of their carelessness towards the final matches of the league. What happened last season is a already a lesson for them, so I don’t think they will do the same this season. At the moment, they still remain one of the favourites among the three teams that are potential league winners. You are right, Arsenal has 1 point less after 13 games and 1 goal better difference than last season after 13 games. Does that really mean anything? In my opinion it doesn't. They also have the strongest defense so far, which they did not last season although it was still great.

But your post is a great example for some slight exaggerations because saying that they are "not as good as last season" is actually meaningless when you do the cross check with the data from last season. I think we are going to see a close race between Arsenal, City and Liverpool. I don't think Aston Villa can go at this level for a long time.

That is quite a bold prediction to make, but yes Liverpool have started the season strongly, even though i actually think too many people didn't give them a chance because of how bad they were last season, but they are back in the picture this time around and are definite title contenders. Anyway i'd not go as far as calling them the favorites for the title, i think City are clearly the favorites again, despite the fact that they have won the last three in a row, they can still add another one to it and make it four in a row, effectively turning the EPL into a farmer's league.

EPL clubs are having one of the best moments this season, winning is very important and there's no concerning deal for the Reds to give if they don't qualify for the UEFA Champions League spot this season. Consistency now becomes the regular routine for the Reds, they're not holding back and keep pressing forward to achieve good targets this season. Liverpool have amend their errors and are back on track, winning becomes an option for them. Jurgen Klopp has envisioned the possibility of the club winning major titles this season.

I think Manchester United's job is going to be way more difficult today. It isn't the same as playing against Everton that are dealing with huge problems this season. Galatasaray are going to be a much more serious threat to the Red Devils honestly. We must have all seen what happened previously in Old Trafford. I was also among the people who didn't expect the Red Devils to lose but it was really surprising at the end.

I thought Galatasaray would play more cautiously. But the manager Okan Buruk likes to tell his players to perform fearlessly against bigger teams as well. We saw it against Bayern Munich too. Therefore I don't feel like Manchester United will be able to get 3 points today.

If they lose this match, they will lose their chances of qualifying for the Round of 16. Galatasaray must be well aware of the target that Mamchester United will be aiming for. However, if they could manage to get a win, then they could still talk about something, it is going to be pretty decent for them, Copenhag may win, and then United ends up at europa, galatasaray gone, and if Galatasaray wins then United goes to europa and copenhag is gone, if they get a tie then I am not sure which one goes down but it's basically United going somewhere. Technically speaking United could even continue, how ? If United wins they are 7 points, if Copenhag and Gasalataray ends up getting a tie that means we are talking about each 6 points, and Galatasaray gone I think? Tough group for sure.

Arsenal have not been able to achieve stability for years. If I were an Arsenal fan I would be very upset about this. Maybe they will be more consistent with Arteta this season. To become champions, they must go out on the field with all their strength and not lose points, especially in big matches. They should be better towards the end of the league and not have big problems like last year. If this happens, maybe they can become champions again after a long time.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle and several other teams are clear obstacles for Manchester City. This team could steal points from Manchester City and make their title plans a bit disrupted, but as others have said Manchester City have the experience and good mentality to manage the pressure. Pep Guardiola is a genius coach and he has good experience on how to maintain the stability of the team's performance each season.
