I think it's still a bit hard since Liverpool are in advantage and I agree with what you are saying but what if City also loses some points in attempt to cover the gap? It will be all same again. The pressure is too huge for the top teams in the PL table right now. The one who is consistent will be the one winning the season. Liverpool no doubt have maintained better consistency and I feel if they continue to perform like this, then they will for sure will win the title this season.

I second that, and i have said it a couple of times here already that if City don't win the league for the fourth time in a row, then it will be Liverpool who would beat them to the title. Liverpool and City have gone head to head in a lot of title races in recent years, though City came out on top in most of them, and i think the both of them are going to go at it this season again.

Of course we cannot take Arsenal completely out of the picture, but TBH i also don't think they can finish either above City or Liverpool this season, i would be surprised if that is to happen.

I think it's still a bit hard since Liverpool are in advantage and I agree with what you are saying but what if City also loses some points in attempt to cover the gap? It will be all same again. The pressure is too huge for the top teams in the PL table right now. The one who is consistent will be the one winning the season. Liverpool no doubt have maintained better consistency and I feel if they continue to perform like this, then they will for sure will win the title this season.

Man City has one match they haven't played yet. And this does give Man City an opportunity to get 3 points. But this is still not a guarantee that Manchester City will win the postponed match. Because we all know that sometimes Man City also loses or draws against weak teams. But there is a big possibility that Man City can collect full points in the postponed match.

But it is true that Liverpool this season is also very strong. Even without Mohamed Salah, we can still see Liverpool winning with a big score in yesterday's match. So there is no doubt that Liverpool is likely to maintain first place for quite a long time.

I think that's their problem this season. So many chances yet the conversion rate is so low, plus injuries here and there also worsen their form after a strong start[1]. In most of their matches against teams outside of the big six, they have a lot of xG but arguably low goal numbers. Hard to say what the coach can do other than ask for more players to be honest, their squad depth is just too poor atm imo.

They should at least win the matches against Luton and Palace this February to keep their top 6 finish alive. Assuming they lost against the rest of the big 6 for the remainder of the season, they should be able to get 20+ points if everything goes their way. There should be a decent chance considering the past few seasons the top 5 to 8 are hovering around 60-70 points. CMIIW.

I don't think who they will face in the R16 matters, to be honest. Klopp will likely rotate his players anyway. Assuming most of their players are coming back from injury they should be able to handle both Europe and Premier League just fine. He seems to be perfectly fine with fielding academy players in a cup tie anyway.

I guess it goes both ways. One unexpected loss from City and the gap grows again. While City is always consistent in the 2nd half of the season in the last three years or so, they have different players now. It will be interesting to see if Pep can keep it up or switch his playstyle to be more pragmatic to win points in the remainder of the season.

Brighton haven't been able to attack very well, if they can attack strongly they will probably win against Wolverhampton. All things considered, Brighton had 72% possession but were unable to score. Wolverhampton' goalkeeper made a good save to prevent a successful attack, and the goal remained 0-0 until the last minute. As Brighton are currently at 7th position in the points table, it doesn't look like they will be able to move up to 5th position. Manchester City are very experienced in Premier League and they have many star players to alternate players in second half of season. It gives them more choices than their competitors and is important for them to play better than competitors and collect more points to take the title at the end. In the last six seasons, it happened in 5 seasons and the last season is an example. Arsenal hold the first position in most of season but in very last weeks, they lost it to Manchester City and ended it as a runner up.

Man City are favourites and I think most Liverpool fans accept that. We are just enjoying being back in a title race after a poor season in 22/23.

Salah will be back in max one month. We are lucky to have four other attackers who can more than keep us in the race. Luis Diaz, Nunez, Jota and Gakpo will keep us firing, I have no doubt about that. We have the best striker depth in the league, even better than Man City (squad depth).

I think we are stronger than Arsenal, the title is between Liverpool and Man City.

Liverpool is stronger than Arsenal no doubt and i also agree that Liverpool have the best striker depth in the league performance wise because all Liverpool attackers are involved in goal scoring and are very good counter attacking players.

Manchester City being the favorites I wouldn’t agree about that, i thought they were the favorites when the league started but injury hit them and they began to struggle just like every other team, it could be as result of lack of adequate squad depth. They are points away from Liverpool and if they were up against Arsenal i would not give up on them but Kloop is a very stubborn coach to challenge in situations like this so I have all hopes high for Liverpool.

Overtaking Liverpool would mean Liverpool would have to lose their matches and Manchester City winning theirs which is very unlikely to happen, Liverpool are already sighting the trophy from afar so they will be more focused and serious to win it than ever.

Manchester City still has one game postponed against Brentford and it looks like it will be difficult for Brentford to beat City so it could be said that City's point difference with Liverpool is only two points and that's a small point difference so anything is possible especially if Liverpool don't maintain their performance but so far Liverpool managed to handle the match well after two draws which were quite detrimental because they lost four points, also Mohammad Salah's absence was still handled well because they managed to get full points without the presence of this key player, Darwin Nunez, who scored a goal in the match against Bournemouth, will try to become a more productive striker so that his team can get full points and become champions of the English Premier League this season. so this will be a tight competition because City also looks like they are starting to perform well when KDB returns to the field.
