 Not much to expect in today's game between Man City and Brentford as many already know how the outcome will be; Man City emerging the winners but Brentford would be looking to prove stubborn and coupled with the fact that big teams find it difficult to defeat them in their home, they will be hoping that Man City falls victim too. Brentford would be putting much of their hopes on their star striker, Ivan Toney, that's if he starts because since the striker came back, he has been making his presence known but I feel the Bees will be needing more than just that confidence and reliance, I feel they'd have to strengthen their defense and also pair it with good attack. Kevin de bruyne is back and there's also the belief that their clinical finisher, Erling Haaland is back and we know how deadly pairing those two can be.
 At the moment, Brentford are 15th in the table and they don't need nothing short of a win to save them from relegation waters, but will a win come easy for them especially as Man City needs the three points to ensure they get close to table toppers, Liverpool?

Next week is surely going to be interesting as Aston Villa will be host Manchester United and if they will be able to play as they have done at home and have full three points then surely we can expect something positive from them in remaining matches of this season.

Manchester United is starting to show positive signs since entering 2024. So far the Red Devils' performance has been quite consistent and they have never lost at all. Yes, but fans still have concerns because their favorite team's performance often appears inconsistent. There are a few things they still need to improve on but so far at least the points they've been gaining are showing signs of improvement.
Hojlund is now starting to be able to adapt to the game and his performance is slowly quite good at least in the last 4 matches including in the match in the FA cup he continued to score even though it was 1 goal in 1 match but that in my opinion is a positive thing for Hojlund.

In this match also Onana appeared quite impressive because on several occasions, the save made by Onana was quite good actually and it deserves to be appreciated.
This is a positive thing for Manchester United but in this case they still have to keep trying to make a breakthrough because after all with the current situation even though their performance is slowly improving but if on several occasions their inconsistency is disturbed then criticism will continue to get.

I will call these fair since Liverpool didn't allow Arsenal to win their home, they also protected Emirate stadium yesterday which is cool.

Liverpool losing to Arsenal at this critical stage of the league is very unfortunate because if Manchester city wins Brentford tonight and possibly win their outstanding match then they would surely claim the top of the league and any opportunity that Manchester city have now to reclaim the top of the league will peradventure give them an edge over the league title though the top four clubs are very up and doing as anyone of them might take over the top of the league table if others flops.

There is nothing critical here, you don't expect Liverpool should visit Emirate stadium and then allow Arsenal to lose that easily, it will take a lot of hard work for them to concede and that's what happened in that match. Liverpool mistake made it worse and now what I'm afraid is the point margin that separate between Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. The only way for Liverpool to avoid been displace from that standing is if they don't lose any games this season and Arsenal and Manchester City should lose, too hard to see.

No I don't think that this was the beginning of a new era or anything of significant improvement. Manchester United has played good games every now and then over the last two years. There were games when I thought the penny finally dropped for them, but then the next game they played as if it was time for them to finally get relegated in the English Championship.

The efficiency they had now in the game against West Ham United is highly uncommon for them, but in this case they could benefit from it and win the game. But you should ask yourself how often Manchester United scores 3 goals out of 5 chances and the answer is not very often. That's why I am not positive for the next games as this efficiency won't be maintained and then the struggles begin again.

For the top position, of course Liverpool and Manchester City are still favorite while Arsenal are still doubted there but they must be safe in the top 4 exactly the 3rd place, other struggles will occur in 4th and 5th place and today we have 4 teams to fight for it. I have added Manchester United and Tottenham as the main candidates there whereas West Ham has not shown an increase so far. Anyway there are many struggles for places in the Premier League this season, including the degradation position Everton and Luton must compete with each other to get out of the red zone.

The next two matches for Manchester City are very easy matches for him so it is quite possible that Manchester City can win in these two matches so that the top position will belong to Manchester City. On paper, Brentford's chance of winning only reaches 12%, while Man City reaches 71%. and if we look at the 5 matches played by Brentford, they have lost 3 times and Brentford lost to teams in the middle of the table, while Man City has had good results in the last 5 matches.

That is true, Even then the last two match of Brentford against Manchester City they defeat the Manchester city but if we say about the current performance and form then Brentford will be behind of Manchester City. From last 12 match Brentford won only in two mathces if we talk about the last five match they won only one. On the others hand Manchester City won five from five matches. Moreover currently Manchester City leading 3rd number position of the English Premier League.
I think Manchester City is going to beat Brentford team by a big margin today, my prediction is that Manchester City will be able to score two goals before the first half and two more goals in the second half. In terms of quality, of course, Manchester City is far above Brenford, especially as Manchester City is in a positive trend after 11 consecutive matches without defeat in all competitions, Manchester City performance is quite good and consistent, which is one of the factors they are favored in the match against Brenford, while Brentford is actually still in bad condition and only able to win 2 times from 11 matches in all competitions, playing at home will probably increase Brentford motivation a little and maybe Brentford will be able to surprise Manchester City even though the possibility is very small.

Right now the way I see it is this has given Manchester City a big chance to get ahead of both of them. Because Manchester City is currently behind in terms of points but they have also played two matches less. So if Manchester City can win both of those matches they can get ahead of both Arsenal and Liverpool. But that's just theoretical and mathematics. So for that to happen Manchester City will have to be in form. One thing is for sure that the competition for the top three/four is going to be very big in the season in the English Premier League.

Even if the season is still long, I fear that Liverpool will end up losing the decisive games against their direct rivals. In the last few games they have clearly dominated the worser teams like Norwich, but as soon as a team from the top 6 comes along, they oftentimes have serious difficulties.
