Chelsea winning Aston Villa 3-0 is a cleae indication that all Pochettino cares about this season are cup competitions. I think it's because he knows that there's no way Chelsea can come back to fight for even a champions league place this season so better to take his team's energy on cup competitions. I'm really surprised to see Aston Villa come from a very good weekend only to lose to a Chelsea team that lost at home over the weekend.

I don't think it will be possible for Chelsea to finish in the top four of the points table this season. Chelsea are 15 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa in the table. Firstly, even if Chelsea perform well and win every upcoming match, it will be very difficult to close this 15 point gap. Secondly, teams like Tottenham, Manchester United, West Ham and Brighton continue to try to grab the fourth place in the table. Aston Villa is no longer a black horse in this season, their performance declines, it's why they lost their position from 2nd to 4th. If Aston Villa can lose against Chelsea, I believe they will lose against Manchester United too, Manchester United already improve a lot.

I agree with you. Chelsea  are fully focused on the FA Cup  this season. Because the Chelsea  coach knows very well that  they have no chance of doing well in the Premier  League. And even if the  performance can stabilize a bit, this team has zero chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

After conceding a humiliating 4-2 defeat against Wolves in their last Premier League match, we  saw an excellent performance from Chelsea's players in the FA Cup match. It was unexpected for me. Todd doesn't understand that at all. I have been saying this since he took over at Chelsea. He thinks getting players is all it takes. He's just spending money, buying every available players and youngster, but it's obvious that strategy is not working.

What he should have done is get board members that know what they're doing. Get the right sporting directors and let them put their heads together and hire a good coach. A coach that can handle a rebuilding project. That coach should be able to pick the players he wants the club to sign and the clubs do whatever they can to sign the coach's choice. The coach will choose players who can work with him, and players who understand his style. This should have been the first step for Chelsea. Instead, they just went ahead and bought a player for a coach that hoat has not proved himself at the top level.

To make everything worse they hired Lampard after sacking Potter and they hired Pochettino. These are decisions that show they don't know what they're doing up there.

Chelsea is a just an inconsistent team there performance has nothing to do with cup competition, the same team or squad play league match and lose same squad would also play cup competition and win thereafter play EPL match to lose again that is absolutely mediocre performance, though my observation about the team is that Pochettino should be given more time to reposition the club atleast till the end of the season, I said earlier in the beginning there shouldn't be too much expectations from Chelsea after Pochettino was appointed because almost the whole squad was changed and replaced new new signings next season should be there target.
