Scoring an early goal doesn’t guarantee a win when a club is playing against opponents like Manchester City. Even if Manchester City is playing and they concede like two goals at the beginning of the match, I do have confidence in them to equalise, so an early goal doesn’t matter when playing against Manchester City. Even if you try to play a defensive game after scoring Manchester City, they will try all their possible best to break the defense.

Have you met Chelsea? A team doing worse than Man Utd according to the EPL table but when up against a big team, they can give them a solid run for their money. Just few weeks ago, Chelsea held City to a draw at the Etihad stadium - it would've even ended in a loss if not for that late Rodri goal. That's why I'm not surprised that some people expected Man Utd to put up more fight than they did today. As a Liverpool fan, I was hoping Man Utd will make City drop points today ahead of the Liverpool vs City game next weekend. But it was not to be.

A quick look at the stats shows that Man Utd didn't really fight back at all. They just scored early and sat deep till city equalized. Then came out to attack which opened up for more goals.

I wonder what is ETH's strategy will Utd though, I watched today's game and there was none.

From the odds given in this match, one should be able to tell that Manchester United will find it hard to win this match against Manchester City. When they first scored the first goal, it was just like inviting fire into their home because I knew that is when Manchester City will intensify their attack and add more pressure to them, not even an equalizer goal will make them stop because they’ll want to add more goals which they did in the end.

But Chelsea had even higher odds than Man Utd had today and caused City 2 points few weeks ago. Sometimes, odds are negligible especially when the underdog in such a match puts up a solid performance.

It took Manchester City quite a long time to break the deadlock honestly. But after breaking it their confidence in themselves increased quite a lot to complete the comeback.  

Foden was just amazing today. By scoring 2 goals I think he made the biggest impact and he was the man of the match. But I must admit that Rashford's goal was also amazing. It came in a really unexpected time and the shot was incredible! He could have scored more goals after that if he was able to control the ball properly. But anyways, it was a deserved victory for Manchester City.

Yesterday, Liverpool had a narrow escape in the hands of Northingham Forest,I thought the game was going to end in a draw,but I was schocked when Liverpool won at the last minute of the added time to make it 1:0.If Liverpool continue to play like this,then I'm beginning to think that their losing is at the corner,they will soon lose and either Mancity or Arsenal will take their position.
And also,the game between Mancity and Manchester United ended in a 3:1 in favour of City.This particular game,I knew Man u won't be able to stand City,even despite winning in the first half.

I agree with you that Manchester City is playing weaker football compared to the one they played last season. Last season, Manchester City's performance was amazing, and they scored a lot of goals against their opponents, which helped them win the Premier League trophy last season. Since Manchester City is struggling to score enough goals against their opponent, that doesn't mean that Liverpool has a higher chance of winning the league, because if Manchester City fails to overtake Liverpool in the league table, Arsenal will do that. 

What makes you think Arsenal will do it? Yes, they're good now too, but they, generally like MC and Liverpool can make a mistake and drop out of the championship race. If you think about it that way, not too far behind all of them is Aston Vila, maybe they will still fight too, although I don't believe that, but anything can happen

Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are all likely to drop points. The Premier League is a very competitive league. There are many teams who are capable of performing well and have strong squads. So even though Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are in very good form, they are likely to drop points in the upcoming matches.

It is impossible to say which of these three teams will win the title. These teams are consistently playing well. However, if one of the teams lose consistency and lose a match, they will fall behind in the title race. Liverpool are now somewhat in the safe zone with 63 points from 27 matches. But I am looking forward to Liverpool's next match. Liverpool is going to face Manchester City in the next match.

Today "Manchester City" has already played a match against an opponent, which can be called worthy - "Manchester United". And MC showed themselves perfectly, they had a lot of possession, shot on goal, and naturally scored, in the end 3-1 and MC takes 3 points. Not everything was perfect, Haaland, for example, didn't hit the goal from a great position, and Liverpool beat Forest minimally, so for now I'm leaning towards the victory of MS in the match with Liverpool.

Manchester United’s performance in this match was disappointing, they were completely scared of Manchester City with their style of play.
They had advantage after scoring their first goal to make sure they came out to play with Manchester City like they used to play others, but they were busy defending their home which was very wrong and it has aided a lose to them.
Ten Hag is not a good tactician, he is not supposed to defend the game in the first place.

Hmm, that's very out of range for Manchester United. They took the lead with the in 8th minutes but Manchester city is a strong team they have very good Who has the ability to change the game like Kevin De Bruney, Earling Haaland Filioe Foden. This is a truly guaranteed player who can change the game even if he is in trouble. As F. Foden scored twice against Manchester United's first lead. This is the only reason that Manchester United does not have Manchester City, so I think this was the reason why Manchester United lost the game although they took the lead first because of M. Rashford's goals. Butany Manchester City are really dominated the match, including possession, shots, shots on target, etc and won the match.

I also didn't expect it because I also thought the result would be a draw. And this is where we can see that the strength and consistency of the two teams are very different, throughout the match Manchester City continued to attack and dominate the entire field and their performance did not decline one bit.

Their chances are still there, it's just that it's very small because the probability of Manchester City is very strong and with the advantage that Manchester City has, it makes them seem unshakable and it happened in practice in today's match where they really did what we predicted.
Manchester United had good momentum when Rashford scored and put them ahead temporarily in the first half but the second half was the complete opposite of what happened in the first half.
Manchester City made some changes and increased the tension of the match which made it difficult for Manchester United to breakthrough because they were always locked down and inevitably followed the rhythm of Manchester City in this match.
The 3-1 score is actually very reasonable in this match especially for the performance in the second half that occurred.

Defensive formation can indeed influence the flow of a match. Ten Hag really had contributions for Manchester City's dominance by overlooking the necessity to fight back while they were leading. Manchester City's dominace stems from their approach to the game with combination of tactical flexibility, individual skill, and strategic decision-making.

Prioritizing defensive solidity over attacking initiative made his team losed control of the midfield and allowed Manchester City to dictate the tempo of the game. Manchester City's style of play is characterized by tactical flexibility, wherein they can seamlessly transition between different formations. Ten Hag seemed having limited idea to face well-prepared Manchester City. His transitional attacks didnt work well, because his midfield played with uncoordinated sceme of display.

Foden in the last few games seems like he is really very comfortable with the position given by Pep because he seems to show that Pep was not wrong to include him in the core Manchester City line-up.

The brace he created in this match was truly extraordinary and now he has passed the achievement in terms of assists and is likely to pass the acquisition of goals he did last season which in my opinion is a good development for Foden.



He has now scored 11 goals and 7 assists meaning that in terms of achievements this season and last season he has experienced an upturn and it is possible that his achievements will continue to improve as long as he continues to be trusted by Pep to play in Manchester City's attack this season.

Rashford scored a wonderful goal at the beginning of the match, roughly around 7 minutes in. As I watched it live, I enjoyed that goal because I didn’t expect it to come. The confidence he displayed to score that goal was absolutely sensational. I never thought he would take the shot from outside the 18-yard box, but because he had his target in sight, he was able to meet it with confidence.

Looking at everything, Rashford is one of the oldest and most senior players at the club in Manchester United right now. Although he plays as a forward, he has been with Manchester United for around 8 years. During his time there, he has scored 128 goals in 391 matches since his first-team debut. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to enjoy the Manchester United game because of that first goal around 7 to 8 minutes into the first half. They were focused more on protecting their home than pushing for more goals, and it ended badly for them.

Around 55 minutes into the second half, Foden was able to score in a similar way to Rashford, from outside the 18-yard box, cancelling the lead Manchester United had. Foden scored for Manchester City a second time, and just when we thought the game was already wrapping up and there wouldn’t necessarily be more goals, Holland was there, hungry for goals. He ended up pushing the ball straight into the net, resulting in three goals for Manchester City.

Well I'd say everyone is entitled to his own opinion on things and where one finds something interesting, another can have a different opinion and in mine, I'd say there's nothing interesting about the Manchester derby anymore as  Man UTD have lost what it takes to invite anticipation amongst the fans. The moment I saw the first goal from Rashford, I knew all hell had broken loose because it's just like touching the tail of a tiger. The defense, attack and midfield of Man UTD was so porous that Man City were just having a field day at. Imagine through out the whole game, United were only able to register one shot on target which got them the goal and they were comfortable with that. Check all the statistics, you'd see there was no room for Man UTD to even breath, all was taken by City and that's a game I'd call interesting. More like one sided.
 To be honest, Man City's third 11 are way better than the present Man UTD squad and I'm certain they knew they wouldn't win this game with most of their good players injured. Another win for Pep and he has claimed bragging rights for the second time this season.

Manchester united keeps failing at been the kind of team that could have been able to be better by each game and Manchester city did not fail to cease the opportunity to gain more points to get to the top of the table which has helped they closed the gap between them and Liverpool making them get back in to the race to the top and for the trophy, at this point it's very risky for Liverpool to get even a draw as a draw would do them more harm then good, winning their next game should be be their only option because they are just about two points away from Manchester city which means less than a game away so if they draw a game and Manchester city draw they will still maintain the same pase but otherwise Manchester city will stay ahead or Liverpool will be able to once again open the gap between them both.

Manchester united is most definitely not even going to secure a champions league ticket for next season, invariably this is one of the worse season for Manchester united as they may end up with almost nothing and being like every other regular team in the premier league as against their former status with which they were been known for.

Manchester United has actually been far from considering itself a great team in recent years, I don't know what Manchester United management has in mind that they still haven't considered the possibility of firing the current coach, but the way things are going, I highly doubt that In the next 3 seasons, Manchester United will improve its performance, because the management of Manchester United seems to be ignoring the fact that Manchester United is not able to compete at the same level with the top teams and is not able to fight for the title, if Manchester United They are not a team capable of fighting for the title, they have no objective of fighting for the title, so will they be able to fight to win the European Champions League? I don't think I'll make it; So what is stopping Manchester United management from firing the current coach?

and choose another coach who can put together a squad capable of taking Manchester United to win the premier league and the European champions league? the strangest thing about all this is that in recent years the management of Manchester United has hired coaches who have not won the European Champions League or the Premier League, they are coaches without great achievements so I have been asking myself why the management of Manchester United has done this type of hiring? It seems that the management of Manchester United has the objective of turning the team into a mediocre team that cannot achieve anything, this is the only explanation that makes a lot of sense to me. a team that spends a lot of money on weird hires of coaches and players, and it's a joke

I watched this match and in my opinion the chances that Manchester united had in the first half were quite good because their game looked very good and what's more they managed to score an early goal. But this match took place at the Etihad Stadium which was quite scary for the opposing team and this was proven after the second half started. Where Manchester city were able to equalize and also managed to score 2 more goals so they managed to seal the win with a score of 3-1.

Erik Ten Hag was on the sidelines and he looked very happy after his team managed to score an early goal. But the happy was only temporary because in the second half Pep Guardiola men managed to score 3 goals. Manchester city is so strong and this is the reason they are difficult for other teams to beat and for Manchester united they have to admit that currently it is very difficult for them to beat Manchester City.

The derby game between the two teams has become very boring since City has been the team dominating and winning the match between them whenever they meet and this game today wasn't unexpected because the performance of Manchester City is far better than that of United and looking at what City is chasing currently there was no way they were going to lose against a team like United which is not in a good form. United was lucky to even defend the early goal they got in the first half but the pressure became so unbearable for them to control as City was all over them with attacks from all angles. The game finally ended 3:1 in favour of the better team Manchester city hopefully they get to win the English Premier League again this season.

I'm sure there are other strategies that would work well against City. One that doesn't work well is having no strategy at all — that's how United play today and that is worse. City is the kind of team that likes to dictate the game and control it. That's why they move the ball around a lot and control most part of the possession. If you chose to absorb the pressure, that's where it would be worse because if you seat deep, there's a high probability of a mistake happening that leads to a goal.

Liverpool plays a possession controlling game too. It would be a MUST-WATCH game because this is Klopp's last game against Guardiola as a Liverpool manager except Liverpool and City gets matched in FA cup which is unlikely.
