Do you trust Active telegram Groups?

In my case i don't think active telegram group is the main basic of a project get success or not. There are lots of such group i seen ever they mostly scammed. Crypto is always unpredictable and risky so be careful anyone who are investing in any coins. Good luck!

People in the early days of ICO looked on the telegram groups as a parameters to get people to think that they are getting a lot of support, that is why scammers are paying people to join or force their bounty hunters to join their telegram channel so investors will have a perception that the project is good and gaining a lot of supports.

As an Investor , Still i have a doubt with some active telegram groups. I have analysed so many projects and Most successful projects had an Active telegram Group.

So far I have analyzed 500+ projects before investment 

My analysis Results are here

A)  9%      successful projects with an Active telegram group
B)  6%      unsuccessful projects with an Active telegram group
C)  25%    unsuccessful projects
D)  60%    scam projects

But Now I have decided to invest for a projects having an Active Telegram group , But tell me your openion about these type of projects.

well at this current scenario 90% of them are scam projects and the one which looks so active and busy wont mean they are legitimate
they might be faking in all aspects , and i hope your not to promote your project here

Everything can buy by money. As you know, we have many "bump thread" services on our Bitcointalk forums, so I think Telegram is the same. The most important part is the team and VC backup for that projects, and I always choose projects with solid VC invested, rather than by its community.

There's too many telegram channels that you get to have minimal profit if you're going to follow them and most of the time, you get nothing.

I would agree with your statement that we should trust ore on projects with an active telegram group.
The thing to mention here is the phase when the group is active. Before ICO or IEO or listing, every group sees active. But the one which is active even after the development of the project are the most trustworthy one.  Ubex, SPN, and Multivac I see having an active telegram group for the last 1-2 years. So at least we know that these are trustworthy.

Well, regarding group telegrams, the number of followers, or social media "troops", can not only be judged in terms of quantity. There are many services that offer to buy and selling followers, right? So I am somewhat dubious about the analysis that only judges the number of social media followers. It is almost the same as the number of members of a telegram group, sometimes, even though the members are in the thousands, only a part of it is active and really involved in the development of the project. So, we have to really check whether the conversations in the group are real conversations that "build" or just a formality to "turn on" the group. I really like the project telegram group where the admin is active in informing the project progress.

maybe you can only find good telegram group but with pay,Though it is not promising complete profit at least there are some good one that they will
give in time,not like those free groups that ha been manipulated by admin to favor their advertisements for those who pays them
shitcoins or scam projects.

I have deleted almost all of my telegram groups and even those people who PMmed me,as i know there are only scammers and nothing

Nowadays, many of the active telegrams still not an assurance to say they are legit. Sometimes there are some are scammer, just like what I saw before they've used Bithumbs exchange and announced that they have a airdrop programs then when it comes to distribution nothing happen and once you ask negative about their airdrop you will be ban at once and they will continue to hype and deceive many in the telegram community even there are successful.

Im very curious how one would go about finding these "projects" or "groups" to follow in the first hand, which places should I keep an keen eye on and so forth?

There are a lot of them, they manipulate the information that's coming in and out from their group. If somebody is contradicting them and it's a fact, they'll just kick the guy and delete those information that person has exposed.

People who get to PM you out of nowhere are likely to scam you. They have nothing but will only try to scam you.

Telegram group, is a place of discussion and passing on unnecessary information and also ask questions, which we have telegram admin on that particular group chat, in order words, telegram group chat activities need to be careful, because the group is open and active, to avoid story that touch the hart, don't make anything payment on telegram group.

I agree on that we dont have to trust telegram group even if the telegram group is active. I already had a bad experience on telegram group before and I believe that telegram channel can be manipulize by only one person. There are so many telegram channel that offers loan and collecting a processing fee that is the most common scam that I encounter so we need to be more careful for good.

According to your data analysis, most of the active telegram groups are falls into scam projects. Because everyone would be so active because of the scam accusations, also asking about trust into agtive telegram groups this would depends because as what we see in the data most of active are scam projects, but an active telegram group could have a good impact towards the project.

As i think Active telegram member group is not enough for judging a project will get successful or unsuccessful. There are lots of projects get scam with people who also had regularity and activity on groups. Also many of them listed on some exchanges and they didn`t make any good hype on market neither people get benefited. So, be careful in every single step in this field.

you are right. but you can tell whether a project is a scam or not from the conversations on the telegram. to be honest, i know pretty much about the scam project from telegram. So many complaints from people on telegram is sometimes a sign the project could be a scam. however, judging a project from a telegram is not an accurate way of drawing conclusions.

Telegram could be a good platform that can be used in digital project but then of course we can't settle on it knowing that it was also an easy way to be used to scam the project. We can't also judge if all the project from telegram is a scam, we can't judge it as if a whole contents of telegram. It is better that you have a knowledge on how to check on it if its reliable or not. Better be safe than sorry

According to your data analysis, most of the active telegram groups are falls into scam projects. Because everyone would be so active because of the scam accusations, also asking about trust into agtive telegram groups this would depends because as what we see in the data most of active are scam projects, but an active telegram group could have a good impact towards the project.

It has a good effect if their intentions are good, but if the intentions of the project team are not good or want to deceive many people, then the activity of their telegram groups must also be questioned, because after they get a lot of money from investors, they might run away with money. that and leave the group without them caring anymore.

I agree with you, because the active telegram group also does not guarantee the project will be successful, it could be that the scamers make it look as if the group is very active and discuss project development, some groups are not very active also succeed in being a pretty good project to survive.

You are right with your analysis. But to add, most of those active telegram groups can still be bounty hunters who are carrying out their bounty task, to know how true the telegram group is, after bounty check it again to see the level of activeness, most times it drops badly but if the project is a very good one, the discussion and so on will still continue.
Also, on the other hand, I have not heard about the project before, and with Defi hype is very much around, I would suggest you carry out a good research about the project, look beyond the hype if any, focus on the team and their use cases you will be able to find out more about the project hence making your own decisions.
