Do you trust Active telegram Groups?

every crypto project must have an active telegram and to judge whether the telegram group can be trusted or not, it is quite difficult because you have to see in detail what the discussion is and who is discussing it, if the discussion topic is very good and it is aimed at the development and support section well maybe we can believe that the community is discussing and supporting each other.
but if the contents of the discussion very rarely discuss the token or coin project in terms of development and any discussion related to the project, just half believe it because if you have been to the telegram group it returns to the community strong or not

if you are an investor you can choose project criteria not only from telegram because every project has social media in between Facebook, Twitter and Telegram of course you have to monitor everything.  Some of the project development teams are more active in updating information via Twitter.  Now on telegram we often see projects with thousands of members. I think 70% of the members are bots.

what I saw was not a real benchmark for either telegram members or the project's success with having thousands of telegram members. most of them are paid members who are used to convince every investor and project community in it. So, be careful not to easily trust active telegram groups.

20% believe and 80% do not believe. I personally think that an active group of Telegram members is not enough to judge a project will be successful or not. There are many projects getting scammed with people who also have regularity and activity in groups. Also many of them are listed on several exchanges and they are not creating good hype in the market and nobody is profitable. So, be careful in every step in this area. always consider every decision you want to make and also do not be easily attracted by high investment returns.

As an Investor , Still i have a doubt with some active telegram groups. I have analysed so many projects and Most successful projects had an Active telegram Group.

So far I have analyzed 500+ projects before investment

B)  6%      unsuccessful projects with an Active telegram group
C)  25%    unsuccessful projects
D)  60%    scam projects

But Now I have decided to invest for a projects having an Active Telegram group , But tell me your openion about these type of projects.

The habit is if the telegram is too active, it proves that the people in the telegram group have no other work. If the team has time all the time to answer your questions on telegram, then it is necessary to ask the team whether they are not working on the project (Simple logic).

Telegram groups that are too active cannot be used as a reference regarding the project's success. It can only be used as evidence that the group has many members.

Obviously, the measure of the success of a project is not seen from how many group members are in the telegram and how active the telegram is, because in some examples I have seen on successful projects, their telegrams are only active as normal.

XFI as far as I know have a lot of victims in the Telegram investors. From XFI they had been swap into Xswap where most of the holders of this token are being late to swap their token into Xswap. But I'm not exactly sure about this things just don't know the whole story about it. But if you are looking for another new investment via IEO or ICO here better to make a research first so that you won't regret in the end.

Good opinion, telegram is a means of communication. but you can also see and check the quality of the conversations on the high quality project. it would be great if they (team members) were able to provide a little insights or at least the progress of their current project they are working on

The activity of a telegram group as well as its number of users has no value.

It is very easy for them to attract 50k people with an airdrop. I was part of a lot of huge groups that disappeared overnight.

Active telegram groups with telegram groups that have many members are 2 different things.
Active Telegram is a telegram group whose members ask a lot about their projects, and the developer is diligent about answering.
Telegram which has many members cannot be called active telegram because it could be that most of its members are just bots.

Currently, Telegram also has service to hire actived members every month for only a few tens of dollars. Therefore, the communities of the projects are not trustworthy. Instead, analyze the partners as well as the number of shill people on the project in other groups.
that is the way to test the best projects at the moment. Just about 200 - 1000 people shill about your project when listed on exchange, the value of the token will greatly increase.

I am also an investor, but I am determined not to invest in projects with active telegram or not, I think that sometimes the project may have bots in the telegram group, we should be more careful in investing in crypto, but I believe if Telegram is active without bots can work, but don't just stick to telegram, you have to look at other aspects, for example the website and whitepaper or roadmap

The reasons why one must invest in a new project must be the project use case and the team qualifications not their activeness on their telegram group, teams are supposed to be business planning future strategy and marketing skills not answering people on telegram group, this point from OP doesn't count sorry to say

It depends o. The situation. But I wouldn't prefer any  kind of activities from only checking telegram group. Telegram is a free platfrom so anyone can create a group or channel. Almost every project whatever it is failed or successful have a telegram group. Most of the project wants to communicate with its followers so they chose a platfrom like telegram. I would always like the projects which have a telegram group. But not chosen only based on any project have telegram group or not.

Recently, i saw a new project with over 70,000 members but to my surprise only few admins of the group dropped some messages in the group daily and only a couple people from community spoke about anything in a week there , lastly the team announced we are making a new telegram group and all members should join there and now even after 2 weeks still there are less than 100 members in new groups which confirms that most members in the old telegram geoup were fake or bots. So telegram channel and stats should not be considered a factor before investing.

of course i believe with an official telegram group from any cryptocurrency my friend
about scam or not, its depends with their team members, thats why i always ask about the team members for a new crypto project buddy
i want to see their face and learn more about them in their social media, such as linkedin or others

Also, some projects have fake members and paid hypers who chat and talk good about the project in the telegram group, hence do not trust everything you see on telegram groups.

That's really rare case usually if they don't have telegram they would set up discord for communication and they don't have any of them open up for people to discuss then people should be alarmed whether that project is real or not.
I know it too well that telegram have so much scammers and phishing bot but usually a good project still need a way to communicate with their benefactor and telegram is the only good choice since most of
crypto enthusiast uses it. Using telegram doesn't mean them automatically become bad.

It depends on situation. Telegram is a free platfrom so almost every project has a telegram group or channel. And most of the project have one group so they can communicate with the followers of the project. And it's a good thing. But if a project has a telegram group doesn't mean it's trusted or it is not. It's depends on various parameters. And maybe active telegram or any communication group is one of them. So haveing a telegram channel or group is good but nit all.

Telegram is common yet we cant deny that this messaging platform is too user friendly and lite which it do really get the job done without any technical difficulties or whatsoever.
Thing here is that it had been commonly used by scammers and that what make other users do have bad impressions towards Telegram but if we do think carefully where they are
just those common messaging platforms that can really be used by scammers anytime.This is why we should really be careful as a user and also it is just right for a certain team
or project owners to have communication or mediums on where they can really be contacted.
