Have you tried ggpoker ? You can deposit with crypto ( only bitcoin actually ) and they have 'decent' prizepool with small entry . Few sattelites to their top pay tourney as well if you want to try some luck on it.

Daily special with $5000 guaranteed and $5 buy in, $7500 guaranteed with $10 buy in . There are alot actually, some bounty tournament as well here and there with varies buy in with $2 being the lowest

You are now a hardcore freak poker enthusiast  Tongue

Looks like a nice and interesting way to get into poker game/competition as a talented poker player, as career, to entertain others, etc
You could learn/earn lot this way without spending too much. Seem responsible, and a fair way to bet

Thanks for this, I haven't played on poker stars in a while but this could be interesting. I usually play cash games but freerolls are fun from time to time as I am running twitch anyways for other giveaways. On SWC Poker I didn't play yet, maybe I will give it a try too.

By recording your desktop during the tournament you can prove a great help to newbies and while you are playing with your microphone you can tell us why you choose to do that move in that hand played. This can be really beneficial to newbies first and foremost but even to experienced players.

Good thread to start, I wish I could do something like that to be honest. I watch livestreams for gaming sometimes (just to kill time) and I see them getting tipped just for chatting, feels so nice to be doing that but I would freeze and my language is poor when spoken.

Good luck, I like poker too but Chinese style:)

OK here I am satelliting for the 2k ticket

Ill probably use it to enter this (oh 2am maybe too late to start a big thing)

I entered a similar tourney at 4pm today, it was cancelled with 3 people signed up (only needed 4 to go) the prize 60k plus bounties starting at 1k per player and rising.

Damn, vs 4 people for 60k on SWC poker or vs 2-3000 people on a poker stars 150K hmmmmmm

*edit* I realised in the kitchen the error of my ways here. Its apples and oranges. 150k is $ and 60000 is satoshis doh *edit*

Define decent?  Cheesy

I meant to answer this before.

Decent: Free entry 1M$ prize no minimum entrants and no players signing up

Rubbish: Free entry 2000 winners share 10$ CBA

You touch on another point though. I'm liking bounties. Not having to wait to the end of a tourney for the big showdown.

Just a few pops an hour here and there and you are quids in.

I also think it encourages more all in, just make sure you win

Then ggpoker is decent but compared with pokerstars, it has lower guaranteed payout though. Tournament with $25 buy in probably has only $25,000 guaranteed at most but prizes increases with the number of player. To be honest, there is nothing much to compare with pokerstars though as they are probably the best in terms of 'decent' tournaments with high minimum guaranteed

Here are some examples of running tournaments

The $5 buy in tournament should have slightly over 1500 player when the late registration close

How did it go for you? I have my first freeroll on pokerstars today. Wish me luck guys.

Didn't really play tournaments in a while. At the moment I am just doing some cash game or All-in or Fold on GGPoker.

I am kind of waiting for a 200% deposit bonus or something to really get back into poker.

Im targeting this one

Poker stars 18:05  $5.50   Prize £10K

and this one if it starts

SwC  16:00  £2k (I have ticket) 60K plus bounties   *edit* This didn't go ahead again. Maybe I will have more luck at the weekend. In a way low number entrants is good right? (im v 3000 on poker stars) just frustrating when you don't quite make the min number of entries (4) */edit*

I didn't earn any twitch freeroll tickets for a few days dunno why?

Tomorrow Sorry, Sunday,  3pm WET is the bitace freeroll

Sign up here I think. (they send the password) https://bitace.com/crypto-poker-tools-and-resources/exclusive-freeroll-lineup/

If you have 500 krill, at 20:30WET Sunday is the SwC big BTC freeroll

Ill keep trying for twitch tickets. Im PH11859 on Poker Stars

*edit*
Oh yeah Sat eve I am going to join the OP Poker home game on PS its 0.11$ and apparently some nice prizes and tickets.

Ill let you know how that goes and if its worthwhile.

Thanks for the link, I will try to enter that one.

At the moment I have only a few chips on SWC Poker and 0 Krill - I don't know yet how to covert the chips into Krill. The hourly freerolls on SWC are a nice idea, but I only play Hold'em so I can't join most of them.

The twitch tournament was a shitshow yesterday, didn't get any good hand in the first 30minutes and then lost with KK against J10 who made a straight on the river  Cry The payout structure seems really fair on these tournaments, I will definitely try to get another ticket next week.

You only get krill when there is a rake to the house and its based on this with a formula for the amount.

I wouldn't worry about krill for now, its just a bonus, I worked hard to get it and cost a few k sats to do it in cash tables.

Unlucky in that tourney, its tough competition. Im hopefully checking out this OP Poker home game today will let you know. 0.11$ and seems to be for some good tickets and "stuff" TBC

Missed out yesterday on PS due to being held up and missing the start (bloody family after I waited all day to play Smiley)

*Edit*
The OP home game thing looks to be more for fun than anything. Small prize, but 2 bounties and 11$ WCOOP tickets for loads of winners, worth it that enters a $75K.  Smiley

I am not really particular to swcpoker.eu, just a curious question before I will try my luck in that site. Upon your experience,
usually how many are participants in every tournaments that they held? Like the maximum number that you remember and the minimum one.

Because I am really looking for a platform where there are plenty of active players and there are no bots of course so we can really enjoy the game.

Its certainly less busy than poker stars

Id say be cautious. Im stuck with this 2k ticket and it never gets 4 players.

Saying that I did good on the cash tables. its just the 9 of you in that.

Todays Schedule of games

12 Midday WET (late reg now) SwC MBSOB deep stacks - entry 0.000250BTC - Prizes 5k
Finish: 3rd 977.60

Wow, that is awesome, congratulations. Well played! I tried to play a tournament today but didn't have the time today. I might try again the Pokerstars Twitch Tournament tomorrow evening again.

On SWC I only played the micro stake games, so won't be earning any Krill as it's rake free.

SWC Poker seems like a nice platform, there active players all the time, if a cash game table is empty I just waited a few minutes at the table and people join quick. As for the free roll tournaments there is one every hours, with around 25-30 players, and Top 5 is being paid. The only problem is that there a lot of different poker variants being played. It might take a few hourse until you can play NL Holdem free roll tournament, my favourite. All the other poker variants I can't play very well.

they prohibit bots and i've never noticed a problem with them.

if you're used to sites like pokerstars or even ACR, you will definitely be disappointed by the size of tournaments at SwC. still, they are the best crypto-only poker site, hands down.

I'm glad you're enjoying poker. When I started I played quite a few freerols and low-cost tournaments, but over time I learned to play cash and now I hardly play tournaments anymore, as cash gives me regular benefits.

Also, I can't stand tourneys variance so much these days. like when you're about to reach the final table, you get AA, you see a whale pushing from UTG and he finally craks your aces with J8s after waiting for so long.

On the upside of that you don't need to sit down and commit several days to the grind for the last table.

This is why I like KO bounties. I played one last night on Poker Stars at least you can earn something early on.

They break for the day after 7 or so hours in the bigger tournaments.

*edit*
Yes I had most success in 25/50 "cash" tables. Good place to work up my entry fees and stuff

KO Bounties are great because you can make some decent money during the tournament already. I cashed out on pokerstars a few month back, so I only got $5 on their. Will try today in the evening again the Twitch Freeroll tournament. I need some bankroll first again to go back into cash games. Overall I also prefer cash games to tournaments because you can just leave the table when you get tired and your concentration drops.

I had a smaller bike accident last week so need to take it slow this week, which is good for playing some poker tournaments from the couch with the tablet. Will be playing some SWC and Pokerstars freerolls.

Anyone going to join this week?

Wow, you are realling running hot in poker. How much did you win?

I blew 3 buyins yesterday on the Freeroll but didn't make it into the money. Will try again on the weekend.

Do you know if there is any form of staking on pokerstars?

By the time I went out there were nearly 9000 entries  Shocked

You really need to commit some time to it and be ultra patient.

I went out to a straight I missed when I has 2 pair.

I wish it was a KO tourney cos I knocked out about 6 or 8 people.

Im looking for one of them next.

+1. i didn't mind so much when i was grinding 100+ MTTs a week and working through the variance quickly. these days, i don't have much time to play, and the long breakeven-ish stretches are killing me. tourneys used to be my bread and butter but cash games are becoming more attractive lately.

but then, how much is the final table worth? Tongue

i hear you though. this stuff boils down to what kinda tourney player you are. my bread and butter has always been mid-large field MTTs and 9-man SNGs. 18-45 man tourneys are a bit of a weakness for me---sadly, our bitcointalk series usually falls in this range.

I always want to ask this one, how many ITM percentage that you should get to be considered 'decent' or over the average joe ? I check on pokercraft and most of the average joe actually has 10% on average, some score almost 20% so I supposed that is considered as good or probably pro online poker player. Of course the percentage drop with the amount of tournament that you joined but its pretty hard sometimes to get ITM spot with over 3k registrants

You really need to commit some time to it and be ultra patient.

Depending on the blind structure and starting chips, some tournament could go well around 10+ hours if you actually make it to top 50 or even last table. Its kinda tiring sometimes

it would be reasonable to shoot for 15-20% ITM. anything over 20% is great IMO. less than 10% over the long run = something is probably wrong, although that can depend on playing style.

if you're only ITM 9% of the time but you're really good at making final tables or binking tourneys when you are, you're probably a very profitable player. ITM rate obviously doesn't capture that. that's why ITM rate isn't a very important stat. ROI or hourly earn rate is much more important.

To be able to get into final table with over 2k registrants on tournament would be great and its damn hard. Most of the time on low buy in tournaments, there are alot of shoving action which makes it kinda hard to check on the flop when you think you got the potential hand .

I played once on ggpoker and managed to get on the final table. Small tournament with $1 buy in and over 200 players and no guaranteed amount ( all of the buy in goes into the pot ) managed to ended up 8th,  It was probably over 4 hours lol . Not to mention that the blinds eats up your stack if you didnt manage to get big stack before the final table

Any good poker action from you anymore @Globb0  ?  Cheesy I can see from your screenshot that you were doing so much better than me

No luck for me yesterday, managed to knock out 5 people but then lost it all with AA vs A7 who managed to hit a 7 on the flop and turn. It's frustrating playing for an hour and then get out close to the money. I still have 3 tickets left I couldn't use yet, so seems like I will play this weekend again.

I am also looking for a new poker site with a food deposit bonus, don't feel like adding any money to pokerstars without a promotion. Any recommendations for mid size poker sites?

ggpoker has 200% deposit bonus up to $600 and you can deposit with bitcoin but yeah this poker site is like the lower pokerstars version. Almost the same number of registrant on each tournament but less guaranteed amount compared with pokerstars.

Any recommendations for mid size poker sites?

swc? some low-mid size buy in tournament is pretty much packed in there

I just got back from hospital.

What happened?

2.20$ satellite to a 150k game. Good value 2 tickets.

This reminds me , I just won $25 entry ticket to 100k guaranteed game tomorrow . The satellite cost was $2.5 and it was a hyper game with 3 minutes blinds increase

Either way I sold 70% of my stake for this game so yeah atleast I will get something even if Im not getting ITM spot

This is what you get after getting sick winning of 76 chips without even buying in or entry fee. Your sound so lucky with the prize you get.Despite being sick it still best to get well soon and head on to utilize the chips you have just won. Congratulations for making it. Could it be possible to share winning chips? LOL

Anyway, again congratulations and make good use of chips won.

he got sick ? aw thats no good  . being sick because of gambling is not worth it no matter he said he win because health is still our wealth  or means no physical money can be equally worth with it  but no doubt he is lucky tho because he entered freely without spending any amounts of real cash but i wonder how much the value of those 76 chips if converted to real money and is it also possible to withdraw the converted money in an instant without wagering or doing any other requirements from this site   ?  congrats to him btw

Not just lucky, you need to atleast know what you are doing to win the 1st spot. Given that Globb0 has been playing regularly on pokerstars and doing decent there, winning on swc would be close to taking stroll in a park. Aside from weekly bitcointalk poker series, thats bloodbath there because alot more tighter player are playing there lol

because he entered freely without spending any amounts of real cash but i wonder how much the value of those 76 chips if converted to real money

Thats swc and 1mbtc = 1000 chips so 76 chips would be 0.000076 btc

and is it also possible to withdraw the converted money in an instant without wagering or doing any other requirements from this site   ?

Yes

Good luck with those, I am still working on my first 500 krill so probably not going to join any. Swc tournaments for now.

Still have a few pokerstars tickets for this month. Will likely join the twitch freeroll tomorrow.

Other than that I am just playing a bit of cash game on gg poker. Trying to get some experience in short deck on there.

I seemed to stop getting the tickets from twitch.

I did get some in a chest but just for spin and go.

Also I didn't think they ran a twitch game on the weekends, so you may have to wait for monday

at micro/low stakes, pokerstars is probably pretty soft. that was certainly the case years ago when i was playing there, and is still the case on bigger sites like ACR---more fish. i find SwC regs tougher than the average tourney player on ACR. it's just that SwC tourneys are so small that it's easy to final table there.

I am ill. I have CMS so I am discovering what its like to be less able.

The spin and go free tickets seem a bit like a rip off to me, I never won anything in them. Or maybe I am just unlucky.

There is one tournaments today on pokerstars, they even buffed the prize pool from 3,000 to $3,500.

Will try to join this one, but not sure if I can make it today.

Big BTC ticket

 Cool

It says I need permission to access it; maybe just because you're currently offline. It was a test run, there was only one watcher lol.

There are a few poker site suggestions here. The same kind of question being asked. Poker Stars is much busier, but Im personally struggling to make it to the real money. I can get to top 10 or 20 places but I start to slip the odd 30k here and there.

I went out 9th in the BIG Btc ticket last night, to pocket 2s that flopped a set. What can you do about that? seemingly though the more hours of the tournament the more likely for a freak knock out. I still have much more to learn about late stages.

Thanks for the interesting topic. Unfortunately, I don't have time for such entertainment right now) Before, I often played freerolls and sometimes won good prizes, the problem is that if the tournament goes well, it means that you have to spend 5-7 hours at the computer.

the problem is that if the tournament goes well, it means that you have to spend 5-7 hours at the computer.

Depending on which tournament, anything with over 2k registrants and standard blinds minutes should be around 7 hours but if you managed to hold for over 5 hours then you should be getting quite top spot with high prize money so its kinda worth it

I hope you put stream delay on your stream, otherwise I might be tempted to stream snipe you to check on your hands if we are on the same table  Tongue

Given that Globb0 has been playing regularly on pokerstars and doing decent there, winning on swc would be close to taking stroll in a park. Aside from weekly bitcointalk poker series, thats bloodbath there because alot more tighter player are playing there lol

at micro/low stakes, pokerstars is probably pretty soft. that was certainly the case years ago when i was playing there, and is still the case on bigger sites like ACR---more fish. i find SwC regs tougher than the average tourney player on ACR. it's just that SwC tourneys are so small that it's easy to final table there.

Probably because it is easy to make it to the final table , everyone will think that they have a solid chance to win therefore play tighter game compared with other sites but you still needs to make it to the top spot to get those prizes even if you made it to the final table.

Thoughts on ggpoker? I saw DN plays on ggpoker through his stream though

How about this then?
....//...
         :
It says I need permission to access it; maybe just because you're currently offline. I used to play poker quite a bit but the thing that got to me was the rampant multi-accounting and seeing the same 3-4 players always sitting at all the same tables... This was at the early version of SwC before it was shut down for a bit. If I were to start back up again, what BTC poker site do you think has the most organic players?
Traffic is certainly important, but I must tell you that the crypto poker game has kept me comingback but still at a 5 out of 100% in terms of poking the mouse on a constant click of "Check-Call-Fold"  Wink
Anyway, what I wanted to comment on is that in effect these crypto casino dedicated to poker have a traffic that at its best reaches 300 users.

That on the one hand, because when you go to paid tournaments, you find that it seems that 90% of the players who are there, come through the freeroll.

Anyway, in my case today it's about fun, and as I always say fun and bet, in my theoretical right of 1 satoshi but without a doubt some sites need traffic no matter how much you want to play and support.

In that sense outside the forum environment, there are some that I will not name if not until they get here, to the forum, because from the old and forgotten "phone book" slogan, it is something old; "if it is not in the Yellow Pages, it does not exist"

In short, of what there are dedicated to 100% Poker Crypto, SWC is the only one that offers average traffic, the other is RoundeR Casino, it looks good and they are getting a lot of promotion, but the best is 51 players online and when there is a freeroll.

So they have good rakeback promotions, etc ... but how do you earn them if the traffic is insufficient and incidentally you fall into the dilemma of cash tables with little traffic.

Anyway, I am one of those who thinks that casinos dedicated to only poker should return and focus on the rake back and additional prizes that in the long run for the players is what leaves extra profit, when they have bad months, leaving with an ROI closer to zero, this today is difficult to achieve in a crypto casino.

I feel that this comment is directed more to a general reader than to you, but your concern has helped me to touch on a serious issue in crypto casinos*, traffic.

Oh man I can so close yesterday for WCOOP tickets Sad

I was in 46 with 145 tickets, just needed to be more patient. Down to 460 people left.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/747868726?t=0h42m22s

43:00 I'm down to 50th

Lost 35K on AA vs KK      FSFSFSS

Nope usual melt down accidents or whatever and I fluffed it.

I really feel close Im getting to a good position (in my mind) a lot.

Its a longer game. If you bet more you lose more if you bet less you bleed out.

It may even be the luck factor after a certain point. A decent win could help fund the fun ideas otherwise its hard to scrape it together at the moment.

Fingers crossed for the 2k ticket on SwC if a tourney ever goes ahead

I just finished 43rd and finally in the bubble on Poker stars.

Great.

I would be up for it, but they aren't dropping tickets. You have to win them on stream. Odds are much harder.

I wonder if they would let me drop some tickets?

*edit*

I played zoom earlier on the stream.

Its fast paced, kind of like perpetual showdowns. I liked it and saw some big stacks.

Ill have another crack at that soon.

*edit* Placed again that's 2 cash finished today from about 4 or 5 tourneys. That's more like it.

If we are talking about tournaments with a serious buy-in, then of course, in this case, it is profitable to play until the very end. I mean free tournaments with prizes like tickets to the same tournaments but with serious prizes for example. In the past, I often played these on PS and sometimes even won real money, but now there is simply no time for that. My record is second place in a tournament of 16,000 players.

If you keep playing and adding information to the starting post it will get huge. Maybe you should make simpler statistics like: the number of tournaments played/the number of hits in the prizes/the total amount of winnings? There may also be a total profit/loss (you play some tournaments with a buy-in in the form of real money).

If you keep playing and adding information to the starting post it will get huge. Maybe you should make simpler statistics like: the number of tournaments played/the number of hits in the prizes/the total amount of winnings? There may also be a total profit/loss (you play some tournaments with a buy-in in the form of real money).

Yes you are right, I wanted it to be a list of good games, locations and times.

In fact I went on to ramble about satellites and one off games.

I will make some time to give it a refresh.

I have a feeling its going to be my best stream so far.

Thanks for the follow.

Well goodluck tomorrow, I need to get ready and perhaps play some low buy in tournament before ours start. I dont feel like I can drop the opportunity to get into top 10  Tongue needs to get the spot for the Grand Finale.

My thought process is kinda jumbled up right now because I have been playing massive amount of Omaha for the past 2 days and I even managed to get into Final Table for one of the Omaha tournmaments on ggpoker  Roll Eyes Never been one for poker yet lol

Followed you on twitch, goodluck with the big btc freeroll

You stream is cool, like your outfit especially. If you will keep this up regularly I think there will be many more people watching.

I saw you also missed the Bit Ace tournament, maybe next weekend =)

Why don't you have any delay of like 2-5 minutes? Are you not afraid someone will snipe your stream?

Good luck for this week

Good luck for this week

I had a 5 minute delay while I was in but then I set it to 0 for the commentary section and final table.

Only issue is there was 7 people on the stream with delay and only about 2 made it to the 0 latency stream. Bit of a fail on my part not recovered from.

:/

I have watched back a few videos and I noticed something, I was smiling and actually enjoying something. Been a few tough breaks lately I think I even forgot that me.

I will play the $5K Boosted Daily Legends Weekly Freeroll later today on partypoker. So far 1800 registered players.

Other than I am probably just playing Cash game this week. Kinda sad that pokerstars stopped with the Twitch Freerolls. Might be doing a few SWC Poker games too.

I haven't found freerolls on poker stars. Which section is that under?

Last night I was down to $0.69 so things were looking in jeopardy. However I went final table from $0.55 to get back up to around $16

2$/hour :/ So now I have decided to give up poker and get a job at mcdonalds working with the dude.  Smiley

Can you play the bearcural freeroll on SwC later?

I just watched the video ( actually just the last 15 minutes of the video  Tongue ) and that 7+ hours of playing must be devastating for you but I kinda wonder why you go all in with pocket 6 when there are already two people shoving each other? I personally would fold that hand and watch each one of them getting burned thus giving me chance to crawl into higher position on the final table or even wins it

The bright side is that you made it to the final table and that alone is a good achievement. I personally havent hit any single table yet on poker ( twice on Omaha lol )

Was this from the stream of the last time I said hi to you on the chat?

It was last night.

You are right, I got all that way and ended up just suiciding.

It was nearly 2am I saw them doing another hour or two it was just like our games.

I was genuinely exhausted. 17:30 to about 02:00 blerg.

Gives me something to think about, needs to be worthwhile.

Yes Im taking final table as a positive.

Cheers.

Haha, still nice one you made it so far in the tournament. Also, your winnings will be much higher when the buy in is higher or just keep grinding up your bankroll with playing multiple tournaments at the same time?  I was watching your stream when you were stuck around  12,000-16,000 chips. Good to see you made it back up.

Are you playing any cash games too?

I haven't been due to having no cash. lol

When I was getting the krill I played up to 4 25/50 Cash tables at once. I was in a better situation then so I could justify it.

I did pretty well in there. I like that you can earn some quick money without the hours of commitment.

Its all about patience it seems.

Im out in a while to the shops then I will be having a look for some action.

PokerStars has a half price Sunday event,$5 for 10 and $50 for a $100 buy in etc.

Its possible to win an entry in the other area, with on demand tourney, go there are tourneys there when full they are about 4 or 5 tickets that feels doable. If you set micro entry you see loads under a dollar. Worth a few tries.  6th or above isn't too bad you don't have to win it

Thanks for the message

I might just multi table the half price Sunday big event poker stars. Shame it clashed with the forum game.

You are right Im still chasing bankroll to d0 anything better.

For the pokerstars free roll you mentioned, did you have to get a ticket from a chest? still didn't find any free rolls on there.

Though I am starting to go off huge games for little reward. How ungrateful am I?   Smiley

Damn, I got knocked out so early in SWC BitAce Tournament, that was really sad. Hope you did better.

Just saw you are streaming. Good luck!

Actually the last freeroll tournament was on Party Poker, not pokerstars (they also had some free MTT tickets for people who redeposited money). They gave away tickets to players who were playing MTT in the last week. On Pokerstars I didn't see anymore freerolls. The tickets were just from the Twitch stream, but I didn't see any official Twtich stream. I think they are waiting for the next event.

I noticed it myself when playing yesterday. A lot of people where afk at the start, so I raised many pots to steal the blinds. The guys who were still playing on my table where all playing really tight and just going in with premium hands. Which was a bit strange, because with only 3-4 active players you should be playing a much wider range. Was a bit unlucky with my flipps and got knocked out way too early.

Good luck for tonight. I will be joining your stream.

Is this a freeroll or does it has any buy in? Alot of newcomer that come and play poker dont really know how to play wider range hands. Anything with 10 and above would be the only hands that they will play , most likely that they will shove right away as well when they get pocket pair.  I usually label this kind of player with red label to remind myself that they are really tight players

This kind of 'strategy' actually works somehow if you are playing on a game with longer blinds increase

Thanks I did well, a bit of a early exit again the way it feels but Im getting closer and closer.

Good money ($37.61) in this finish considering the $1.10 entry I paid to the satellite.

This means more streams so its a good news story for the channel.

Thanks for your support and following if you can.

brutal. bubbles are never fun but hey, you can't win every 65-35 flip. it's a numbers game.

these are some solid deep runs though---good job. you're definitely getting some good experience here. of course, micro stakes won't prepare you for the skill level you'll see in mid stakes, but it's an important part of the journey.

oh and i finally got around to making a twitch account. say hello to your newest follower, foma888. i look forward to following your progress. Smiley

Exactly this, I have been playing alot in micro stakes few weeks ago (< $5 buy in ) and have tried tournaments with around $5-$10 buy in for few days . Its totally different in alot of aspect, In micro stakes its pretty much consist of alot of shoving action with premium hands / pocket pair . On higher buy in tournaments people tend to let it roll slowly, they try to get as many chips as possible if their hands have win

However its get harder when it gets to less than 20 players, the battle for the last table is truly time consuming. I have played a $7.74 buy in tournament and its almost 2+ hours just to get from 18 to 17 players because there are around $5 differences for the prizes

It was a marathon tournament though, 20 minutes blind lol

I agree, most of the micro stakes tournaments and also cash games are a lot of pre flop all ins with premium hands. And most of the time you are flipping with 50/50 or 60/40 odds. And once you get close to the bubble people tend to switch to super tight gameplay. I usually just play the $1 or $2 bankroll builder tournaments which are alright, but get boring after a while. So playing a bit of micro stakes cash game while playing the tournament is a good mix for me. Even though this won't prepare me a lot for mid stakes games it's still a good way to keep building up the bankroll.

One of the biggest mistakes we can make in poker is moving up to bigger buy in games without enough bankroll. There can always be a longer period of bad beats and we have a much higher risk of going broke.

Yes so this is an emerging issue for me. My disability is meaning I sometimes hit a wall of exhaustion, even though I am just sitting sedately all day.

The last few hours are different and I had to learn that bit too.

I have to resist the urge to get it over with in a win or lose draw.

Anyway I thought I was playing in a game for newbie ranking the other day (whoops that's called "freshman"), but it turned out to be for all of pokerstars. I though scholar = student.

Anway I came 9th and look...…

Wow nice one Globbo. Looks like the grind paid off so far.

Good luck for that one, are you going to stream? Going to tune in.

Damn that would be a nice pay day if you get into the money.

Will you be playing the BitAce freeroll again? I hope I can make it in time.

Back to the micro stakes cash games for me this weekend.

Goodluck on this game, even getting the ITM spot would be enough. It will be so different from all those micro/small stakes tournament so far

The last few before the final table will be the tightest game you will ever experience. Blinds are also high at this point so each time you call for the flop, that means spending those limited stacks with probability of those flops could be dissapointing you

I'd personally avoid shoving at this point especially against those that have smaller stack than me because that shove would most likely either premium hands or pocket pair. 3 way jam is also something I would want to avoid.

Still no luck for final table again, made it to 16/ 500+ for daily $2 hyper today. Hyper blinds really sucks, people shoving almost all the time lol  Tongue This is my first time trying hyper blinds structure though ( 3 minutes blind )

absolutely! i used to run a mid stakes sunday schedule on stars back in the day and would sometimes mix in $109s. you're gonna run into much tougher players than at $1 R/As, that's for damn sure!

awesome score though. i wish i weren't so crunched for time lately. this shit makes me wanna get back to the poker grind. Smiley

Hey Globb0, great thread and good luck with all those tourneys.

I would like to know if you can share some information about how you do the stream, i have done streams before in the past but not for poker, i think you need to have some kind of delay to avoid the users watch your hands in live time, but i feel like that affects the interaction with the users. So, how you deal with it? And could you share some tips about the software you use for streaming and how you configure it?

Yeah , you barely have any time nowadays and I havent play with you for a while in our weekends game . You need to get back into shape or I might win against you  Tongue. IIRC I have a horrible record on showdown against you

He puts 5 minutes delay sometimes and even if he doesnt, he put something up on the screen to cover the hold cards

Globb0 just finished streaming few seconds ago, He had A8 and there was AQQ on the flop

Turns out someone had a Q on his hands and he lose it all

@globb0 , nice game for today but you need to shape up for Sunday's $109 stake game as it would be alot harder with better players on board. Some rest would probably helps, you look exhausted on the stream  Smiley

Not sure if you play on Party Poker, but they are giving away $25 in Tournament Dollars at the moment if you verify your account with kyc. So looks like I will be playing some $3/$5 Bounty Hunter rounds tomorrow.

I just noticed that Pokerstars is streaming again on Twitch after taking a break for a few weeks. I would assume they are making another round of Free Twitch Tournaments also in the next weeks.

My bounty hunter tournaments last weekend didn't do very well, I think I will stick to micro stakes Zoom games for now.

Big plans again for this weekend Globbo? Any good tournaments coming up? The usual BitAce SWC Poker tournament?

Good luck for this week.

why no 4-color deck? that has cost me quite a few chips in my day---misreading suits while multi-tabling. something to consider. Wink

I did play it, the highest position I got to was around 400th, but I gradually lost out after 3.5 hours it was a lot of multi tasking with the stream and bitcointalk poker game.

Really liked your setup last week with the casino background and gambling in Suit. Does it help to play better?  Cheesy

Thanks Mauser, you rock, I usually will be live at the weekends.

I think I need to work out a rough schedule and try to set it regularly. Then people can roughly know if I'm about.

Nothing is guaranteed in case I am unwell, a few days this week I couldn't stream at all I just have to suck it up.

Yesterday I have been signed off at home for the next 2 months by the doctor while I deal with my emerging disabilities. Sad

This streaming gives me some purpose.

Also maybe I should split these threads, fun freerolls and cheap fun games here and make a new on for the Globb0 stream.

I was also thinking about creating a home game on Pokerstars or even maybe SwC I need to look into it.

Easily won $100 2/3 of that was in  bounties.

I could have gone further honestly I was too exhausted at the end.

Great we finaly have a bit of bresthing space for the channel.

when in doubt, just sit out the forum game and micro stuff when you've got a $100 buy-in on the line. Wink

+1. i was wondering if we could get a private game at SwC. my schedule is super busy lately so i'm gravitating more towards cash games even though tourneys are my real thing.

What happened ? The stream stopped midway after you were groaning because it seems your feet hit something .

Yeah you could, I saw the whole thing. The moment that you decided to shove because you feel that you had enough and you are tired but you ended up keep on winning all those Tongue. It was kinda like mixed feelings for you because on one end , you wish to stop streaming and get some rest but on the other hand it would feel bad for you if you shove with some random cards like J3 or something

Wow nice one Globbo. You really have a good gameplay and patience if you keep finishing so high in these tournaments.

That would be cool, especially now with the winter and the bad weather coming I think I will be playing more poker and watch Twitch.

Thank you.

Todays free action is on SwC....

SWC Poker 20:30 UK/WET Freeroll (+500 krill) 11K prize

They also have an event on (BPC?) with lots of games to chose from for a few hundred chips plus.

*I may go for a few ticket tourneys for PokerStars in a bit for later for the stream to have a decent game or two.

And this game is always fun and cheap, definitely worth it if you are about. Nice people.

SWC Poker 01:00 UK/WET ChefCat radio Saturday shocker - 250 chips to enter and they have prizes and bounties

Hope to see you a bit later on  Smiley

I have been playing regularly on ggpoker for 1 month . I tried to download ACR and pokerstars, both are pale in comparison if you compare them to ggpoker ( ACR probably has the worst looking software imo ) but I wont deny that pokerstars has larger pool of players also higher guaranteed amount on each tournament but yeah so far my experiences has been great on ggpoker.

Do you play on ACR instead?
i do, but haven't in several months. i got screwed over by a couple server failures there and withdrew my bankroll to SwC out of frustration a while back. but i do miss ACR's guaranteed tourneys. SwC is a joke by comparison. i'm much better in large fields too.
Have you guys tried out GGPoker? There software is pretty cool.

i wish i could because there is great action there. i'm in the states---we're not allowed. Sad

ACR is as good as it gets for us. i'll probably get a roll going there again when my real life job dies down. unfortunately the fields on SwC are just too small---more like multi-table sit-and-gos than real sunday majors.

Its very pedestrian after playing lots of games with thousands of entries.

Also it seems just too easy? I sound like a big head but they are all so predictable.

Streaming while playing poker probably makes the grind a bit more interesting, or not? I also enjoy seeing your twitch channel grow slowly. On Sunday there were 11 people watching. Good job  Wink

Is there a special forum for the SWC Forum championship? Are you playing on the finals this weekend? I hope I can join next round.

streaming while playing is cool thing to do and this gives him a confidence when theres people watching how he play  . 11 people watching looks little but this number can be good for a streamer thats getting started on the platform  . he can grew it with the skill he have , im not into poker but if im into it ill prolly subscribe and watch this guy stream  .

seeing that over 1k entry makes me impressed because you manage to get under 100th spot  . few more grinds to go and you can go higher than this rank . its not easy but your just a pro Wink

i certainly hope an MTT with thousands of runners is a bit tougher to win than one with a few dozen, especially when we're talking about stuff like the sunday million on stars.

it's all about personal style too though. some people can really own that 18-45 man kinda format and it makes them lots of money---not my thing, personally. per entrant, i consistently run deeper in large fields.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271735.0

Different format including blinds minutes and starting chipstack might be one of the factor that determine wether player would be good on that game or not. I am running decent on game with higher blind minutes or one of those bigstack / monster stack game but Im sucks on anything with lower than 100 BB

This monster stack game might take up to 10 hours just to reach the final table but yeah this is what I would choose to play on every Sunday . People are less aggresive in this kind of game and this is totally what poker looks like instead of shoving all those stack every rounds ( my personal preference )

Thanks for joining us yesterday Arallmus, shame on results but no worries.

Today I just got another $109 ticket, the benefit being this isn't tied down to a specific game on Sunday clashing with ours.

So Ill look for a good game and time, perfect storm, need to find something with returns! Will be live OFC.

Last night we had our first "known" potential stream sniper.

Someone who found the stream by searching the tournament they were ins name.

They didn't have to tell me, so that was nice and they followed us.  Smiley

Also it means we are really out there to be found. Butterflies moment its real.

Anyway the 0 delay is infinitely better at the moment when we are few, so I will need to work out a way forward.

I have an idea for a bit of a halfway house, but its lots more work so watch this space.

Be on the hunt soon for some satellites and into bigger games. Good for sharpening up.

Thanks for following my adventure bro et al.

Yeah, days like that happens and you were on a crazy tables where everyone all in with crazy hands. I mean who would even choose to all in with 3 5 and 5 9? thats crazy. On top of that, those crazy guys keep winning all those showdowns with those hands

Great, this Sunday would not be a good time because there will be the Grand Finale and Runner up Final on swc

When was this happened? These kinds of people are insane. There is no guarantee that out of thousands of people in the tournament that they are going to be on the same table as you . Not to mention that even if they know what your hands are, they cant do nothing about it unless they are planning on going to heads up with you. Small chances of it happening but totally insane

yeah, the thing about turbos and super turbos is they are very high variance. so much shoving! to make good money on them, you have to multi-table and just play lots and lots of them. winning your 60-40 and 70-30 all-ins over the long run is how to beat them.

i also much prefer slow blind levels and structures. 15 minute blinds + slow structures where antes don't kick in early is my ideal. it gives you lots of room to splash around and build pots in the earlier rounds without forcing you into short stack mode right away.

Yeah having no ante in the early game would be nice but so far antes are always 0.1 BB in ggpoker since the first level so yeah it kinda sucks. The thing with this marathon blinds minutes are that you need to be prepared to play for atleast 4-6 hours just to get ITM spot and probably over 9 hours for the final table.

I have once get the 10th spot ( 1 spot away from the final table ) in a 15 minutes blinds game and it was close to 12 hours of playing. It sucks and Im totally frustated because I was the short stack and I shove with pocket Aces only to be beaten by J 6 ( he beat me with flush  Roll Eyes )

i caught the end---i liked the A7hh shove, fine way to go out. almost tripled up on them hearts. next time. Tongue

Globb0 was being unlucky throughout the stream. Everytime he gets a decent card, there wasnt any match on the board.

for sure, that's always something you need to be prepared for. that's one of the reasons i could never grind tourneys every day. more of a sunday thing mainly, with some random sessions thrown in between. my old routine would be to allocate my entire sunday to poker, 4-8 tabling and firing off new entries in the early part of the day. by the end of the day, you're probably only gonna be running deep in a couple of them. if things go well, you'll be putting in 12+ hours total, depending on site/field size.

You always done great job on this satellites but not on the main event. Could this possibly because you are playing while streaming ? I know its kinda tough to play while streaming and sometimes you make funny stuff like wearing masks and such so probably you are not concentrating enough on the main event because all that

How about some change of pace like streaming these satellites grind to check how well you do while you play and stream?

Thanks I think its a good suggestion to keep thinking about tweaking the format a little.

At the moment I have just been freestyling, but it can be a bit dishevelled when I suddenly get dumped out.

Perhaps I should make a stream for how far can you go from a satellite or something like that.

I am back on it this morning and not looking too bad for a couple of decent bounty builders...…

I won a few dollars last night in the $7.50 BB but nothing significant. + is good I suppose.

Thanks,

Congratulations Globbo, good to see you are still crushing the tournaments.

Didn't really have much time in the last week to play poker. Hopefully I am back for a few sitngo's tomorrow.

I wish I had the patience to sit through so many statellite tournaments like you  Cheesy

When is the next forum poker tournament starting? I hope I can join that.

Yes everyday for 1 buy in ticket to around $50 something bounty game with over 400 registrants . This is a special freeroll for people to try on their new platform. Basically we are probably gonna change from swc sponsored weekend game into betnomi so this is a freeroll to get people accustomed to their software. Feel free to put your username in the thread to join this

It will be great to have you as a regular on the weekend game  Smiley

Damn, I missed that one yesterday. Was quite busy again yesterday. Hope you did fine in that one.

Are you streaming today the BitAce tournament? I want to join myself. Got knocked out so early in the last few freerolls. Would be good to get into the money this time.

Good luck for later.

Unless I win a ticket from a chest, the next freerolls are the usual ones at the weekend.

I really miss that twitch freeroll they were doing at PS. There were abundant good freerolls when I started this thread.  :/

I might scrape together some funds for a poker stars I been off it this week just SwCing with bitcoin.

I have been testing a theory on zoom and folding super fast.

You can get twice the hands as everybody else. It seems to work well to get ahead.

Yeah you probably should or atleast put some stream schedule like 3 days a week for atleast X hours everytime. It seems to me that you kinda lost your motivation to stream after you hit that 50 followers. Some micro buy in might works out to collect some balance to play for some satellite or straight medium buy in tournament

In a rush game? yes you could but by doing this you could accidentally fold a solid potential hand

Thanks Aaralmus all fair points.

I didn't so much lose my motivation to stream as much as much as I a bit overdid it at the start and then I wasnt well.

Then it was hard to maintain. And I also don't have unlimited funds to entertain people on the internet so it had to slow down for both reasons.

I have nothing else going on anymore and Im getting weaker, I also got weak of poker if I can explain. I look at the PC sometimes and see something like a food I cant swallow.

Now I have settled in with a "crew" I have some extra support and backing for my endeavours.

Im still finding things tough but I will get to the right balance point.

Schedule wise, I think, thurs or Friday through to sunday evenings will likely be my main times. When people are around.

Sunday night is my big one, but it knocked me out for Monday and Tuesday this week.

I just completed a satellite to a proper game. for later tonight $150k so I think I will stream that soon. This is my idea of impromptu streams.

Im doing OK on SwC with BTC. :/   PS is a bit of a harsh cash hole.  Cheesy

Thanks buddy yo have been a main supporter. I thank you.

Yeah sorry that I totally forgot that you are still sick and for the record, Im not complaining in the previous post and Im sorry if I sounds rude but It wasnt anything intentional / rude .When we grind too much on poker, we pretty much get sick of it and want to click on that all in button all the time because we want the game to end as soon as possible. It happens to me as well

Its too bad that PS dont accept deposit with crypto. Perhaps you can try ggpoker instead when you totally run out of your balance in PS, British players are welcomed and they accept deposit with bitcoin ( $10 minimum )

Thanks buddy yo have been a main supporter. I thank you.

No problem, glad to have you on stream . Once again, Im very sorry if the previous post sounds rude to you. I kinda forgot that you are having your own circumstances

Hey Globbo,

are you crushing Pokerstars? Any games this weekend? BitAce on Sunday?

Had to take 2 weeks off from poker due to some personal problems but back on track again this weekend. Just deposited $20 and will try to build a bankroll again with some Sit'n Gos.

BitAce on Sunday?

He will probably stream ChefCat Social Game on Sunday. You should come and join team bitcointalk.org on Sunday's Chefcat. Im having hard time carrying the whole squad alone Tongue lol. I was the only one playing last week from representing bitcointalk.org

More details about ChefCat Social HERE

Just deposited $20 and will try to build a bankroll again with some Sit'n Gos.

Yep, sit'n go is basically faster to build in some bankroll but I still prefer playing in some tournaments. Basically sit'n go is another version of all in or fold game, people will shove when they had decent hands and to be honest I find no pleasure playing this

sit-and-gos are for grinding IMO. they aren't for fun. Tongue

i completely forgot last week. i'll set a reminder to play tomorrow. somebody's gotta represent bitcointalk!

not that i will necessarily be on my A game, lol. i've been feeling very splashy lately in these low stakes affairs---not willing to play super nitty and wait for the right spots.

Its more like all in or fold to me  Tongue. So far I had a decent record for my sit and go game on ggpoker but yeah I'd rather play all in or fold instead  Tongue

Dont sweat it. The reason that I have been playing two weeks in a row although it was pretty late for my timezone was because I was trying to blow off my steam after playing bad on betnomi's poker series. I was playing on the little btc guaranteed which was an hour early then the ChefCat game so yeah I join the Chefcat as well while playing on the little btc game

It will be great though with more players on board , Lets rake up all those points lol

For honest, i don't understand this idea with tickets to another tournaments. I mean this is not money, you can't withdraw them, and there is not too much sense to win them, because you need at first to win ticket and then to win this BIG tournament. It's doubled prob to lose.

Of course if there is nothing else to do, maybe this have sense. But anyway you can try yourself at cash tables and win real money, again.

Its worth about a 200$ ticket  you could buy the entry.

Or win it in this satellite, I have won it and didn't win the big btc.

Another player from the bitcointalk poker players did win the big btc though its worth good money.

The prize pool is 9,500$ nothing to sniff at

I mean that this is too low probability to win big tournament with such reward pool. Mostly because this is multiplicative probability.

And on average, how many people playing at first (for the ticket itself) and at second (with pool of 9500 dollars) tournaments? 10, 20, 30? Will be glad for response.

P.S: Because i've played myself a lot of free and paid tournaments on SwC and i never saw a reason to fight for a ticket.

Depending on where you play, you can actually sell your stakes in some sites such as ggpoker. I've been doing satellites for atleast twice a week into a $25 buy in tournament for $2.5 satellites.

If I manage to get the tickets then I'll sell my 20% stakes which is $5. This means I locked up my buy in for the satellites and another $2.5 despite that I might not finish ITM on the tournament. Even If I dont sell any of my stakes, atleast I save up some money to buy into a $25 tournament

And on average, how many people playing at first (for the ticket itself) and at second (with pool of 9500 dollars) tournaments? 10, 20, 30? Will be glad for response.

It depends on the prizepool. Most of the time its around 5 guaranteed tickets max but if alot actually join the satellites then the prizepool might be enough for another tickets

P.S: Because i've played myself a lot of free and paid tournaments on SwC and i never saw a reason to fight for a ticket.

There is no. Its just preference

There is no. Its just preference

No, for me its more like necessity. It would be lovely to have too much money and just go straight to the 100$ entry $1M games.

ofc IK want to be playing there for the prizes. So satellites is a good option to keep down cost and practice big game skills.

Again I know its not the same commitment or skill level in the sat from some players as in  the real thing. I keep that I mind and use it.

I have not read this thread for a long time, I would like to know - is there somewhere a general balance during which this thread is being conducted? I would be interested to know if the author of the thread is in profit and if so, what is its size. This issue has already been discussed in the thread, but I don't see any summary data.

I haven't kept a ledger.

This is not a win challenge, I am doing much better in some cash entry tourneys.

But if I spot anything good that is free or good value I will let you guys know here.

No kind of referal links or anything like that. Lets just share any good stuff!

Most of the games I watched of Globbo he actually made into the money, he is also posting a lot of screenshots in here. Should be aware that Globbo mostly plays low buyin tournaments with a decent payout. So getting into the money in 1 out of 5 tournaments should already make a nice profit. As for the freerolls since the buy in is for free, it's hard to make a loss their.
