As the BTC plummets I'd have expected to see UNO rise like it has done since December, but it seems to have hit a consolidation phase during the recent BTC plummets. As a trader I'd love to have seen it the other way round!

We should be making UNO price hay whilst BTC plummets. This is currently not the case.

After consolidation completes we shall know in which direction UNO will head next? Test the 0.0100 levels or back down to support levels around 0.0080. Time will tell. GO UNO!!!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I think there is an element of crypto buyers that are just OUT.

This means dump everything flee to cash.  So they are exiting alts >> btc >> $

My guess is that one of the big btc houses pulls a MT. Gox 2015.
(stamp?)
If the dirty trick worked last year then why not this year.

I agree this is a time to make UNO break 0.01 and test a new top and then back down to lower support levels

But remember this is a conservative group (moneywise) so some are also making sure this is the BTC bottom.  It may panic again as USA starts to trade.  Also others might be trying to catch the bounces and make a few extra nickels before converting to UNO.

If some just want to collect under $200 btc now and convert it to uno if btc goes $300 ... this is also very smart.

Another problem is many guys already have taken hold of TONs from xmas/potatohead.

And the last problem is the btc/uno chart ... 40% gain and fast.

this a much more sound chart to interpert the UNO price trend
($ not btc ... later we will track uno in silver ... aka the dvc)

A Mt Gox house of cards indeed! Let's hope Cryptsy makes it out alive without the need for dirty tricks like the others!

In the BTC house of cards - UNO is the ace in the hole. Keep in close to your chest ;-)

Hang in there. These are days for the bold. Do what you need to do.
This is an amazing opportunity. Don't waste it! Smiley

Bring on Bitcoin capitulation. Sooner is better than later. I'm in this today, and then for the next five years.

I think the spike is done (@$166) and we'll see a snap up to $250. (sell offers are looking much thinner)

-but pls don't invest in btc based on my market analysis-

there will come a time when we will chuckle and fondly recall the time when you could pretty much only buy UNO with bitcoin; much in the way we chuckle and fondly recall the time when you could pretty much only buy bitcoin on mtgox

I'm watching btc-e & coinbase markets primarily, and buy offers are more scarce than sell orders for a comparable range of movement. I guess that there's still downside to come.

Nobody knows, least of all me but if we're speculating just for giggles, my gut says the bottom is between $125-$100.  I have buy orders in on Coinbase from 175, every $25 down to $50, hoping to catch a leveraged whale being cashed out, or some of those stolen Bitstamp coins.

I think any lower than $125, the Tim Draper's and Winkelvi will have to jump in if for no other reason than to save their own asses. A huge sudden buy in could end this quickly and send the money on the side rushing back in.

The problem I see so far is that this entire decline has been too orderly. It doesnt seem that desperation has set in yet, but I want to be in place to capitalize on it if it does.

Bleutrade wasn't returning bid/ask data and some other data.  Just grabbed this quote off of their Chatbox a minute ago, now that it's back on, and all the data is back just fine:

Quote
romes i cant get the DOGE/POW page to load any data https://bleutrade.com/exchange/POW/DOGE
romes even the troll box stays blank
romes chart is blank and no orders show up
pharrisee um, looks like I may have crashed the API server, oops
pharrisee soz everyone
romes hehe, its ok now lol
pharrisee I forgot to put a delay in between requests to the API server and flooded it, basically did a DOS on it
pharrisee oops

I had sent in a support ticket, too, but didn't get a prompt reply in the last half-hour I've been fuming abuot it.

That was about uncomfortable.

-------

I'm telling you guys be careful with these exchanges.  Also, don't wait so much for 'the bottom', not for BTC, not for UNO.  Get your stash, and get out, or use our in-house exchange.  I expect things to get nasty if BTC gets any lower.  People playing tricks doesn't amuse me.   Angry Angry

-------

What's also disappointing is that I was scared to post anything about it on here while the website was still unresponsive.  Didn't want the attention.  To be honest, I'm still terrified of you guys after that Coinex witch hunt.  Things shouldn't be like this, and information should flow more efficiently.

@Benefactor sorry to hear that you had problems! Glad they were resolved.

On a side note, it is great to be able to buy all this UNO for a song!  Who would have thought $1.50 US UNO would ever have been an option again. Scoop it up!  Cool

I've set my flashcrash buy ins at 109 and 110 ( I noticed lot of people placeing 109.01 orders in front of mine on the AUssie BTC exhcange.)

120 odd makes sense to me.

Loads of talent here. Could we have folk’s thoughts on the next 6 months?

Ian and Mark: we think the collapse is cathartic. It’s sorta like hitting the re-set button. Our guess is pennies under $100.

And we would actually like to see Bitcoin not bound back up again, but plateau, and then – six months? – start experiencing a steady rise in price, with a much higher percentage of cap coming to alts in general, and us in particular. ('Us' being The Mall -- the big picture)

The Global Financial Crisis is the wild card.

Un-Ex and The Mall are our great interests. We want to see Uno folk figurin’ out how to buy more Uno 'outside' the exchanges:

Uno/$ (PayPal? P-WIPs? The first face-to-face sale?)
Uno/bullion
Uno/other cryptos
Uno/? (Bitcoin Charlie has some ideas)

DVC should be – IMHO – a community priority. I owe a cold beer to everyone who ends up banging their head on a wall in frustration over the Nxt wallet (but I just had to take my laptop to Ian’s to get a full-size Bitcoin client installed – 2 days!).

But if we can Verify 1 TT a week until, say, May, we can then experiment with equity DVC.

Finally, we are anxious to have one or both devs come forth to advise on the the merged-mining project. My ignorance makes it hard for me to comprehend, but I don’t think its practical to presume a huge increase in Uno’s price, and to meanwhile act dynamically, to protect our bottom line.

Mark and Ian

P.S.: there are now 8 Uno holders known to us, and we are going to write (snail mail!) to an Unobtanium merchant, to offer him Un-Ex’s liquidity service.

That was an amazing experience yesterday. I wish had pulled the trigger last night when I hovered my fat finger over the buy button at 168, but I got greedy.

One of my btc buy orders triggered, hoping for more cheap btc>cheap Uno.

Precious little Un on the exchanges atm.  Only in UnoLand do people complain about sell depth. Undecided

@IMZ, keep going! I don't understand all of this stuff, but I trust that you do, and that I'll eventually grasp it.

@Learminer, thanks for your work.  tips for Uno's web dev go to uewrE9QWc54EXjCZehWDPkjqgsyRDpQmK8

@Benefactor, sorry one of your addys got caught up in the coinex excitement last year. But eventually we did manage to track the thief's wallet, and tie it to liquidation on Cryptsy. I think overall it was worthwhile pursuit to understand that the price of Un was being kept artificially low, and to remove the fear of future Erundook dumps.  Man, I hope karma or justice will get hold of that kid eventually. But again, sorry about that and no need to fear.  We just wanted to understand what happened to our coinex money.

Hash hovering around 35-25 ths through all of this, not bad at all considering how cheap Uno was yesterday in USD.

Thanks to the Bittrex traders here who have been faithfully keeping Uno comfortably below market minimum volume requirements. Blessed are ye who trade Uno on Trex. Mind the gap.

I had a funny realization this morning.

In addition to $UNO hodling, I have moved coin out of BTC into DOGE to keep it "safer"

Don't know that I'd even thought about that six months ago...

Best way to promote UNO is to bring it on the other exchanges. Vote for Uno on bter.com/voting!

Looked around the last few days, and momentum is off, so I lowered my bids, like, everyone else around here.   Roll Eyes

Not sure why someone would sell me UNO in the low 8's, but,...thanks!  Now, knock it off!  Hodl for your own sake!

Uno is already #37 in Bter voting out of 235.

Can anyone spare Bter points to move Uno up a few notches?
