Back from our diversion, the exchanges thing. Will get my reading up do date.
Food for Thought (information supplied by Ian Ridgwell)
when and if we get around to working with the unbanked, it's gonna be interesting to see the relationship between the model of crypto-coining they adopt and the strength of the Net available to them.
Downloading and running wallets is quite problematic for me. [Check the map, guys. I'm at the very bottom of Western Australia, but note the fabulous lack of towns across the state.]
And Australia has only one 'national' provider. [Think 'Ma and Pa Kettle International Airways.'] They screw us country folk royally. I updated my Bitcoin 'Behemoth' wallet after I got out of hospital -- 20$ worth of data.
The setting up of a CBX wallet took a fortnight: I had to wait til I got a chance to leave my laptop at Ian's. He started the download; but even with 'premium' country-quality speed Net, we couldn't get it downloaded in 26 hours, and I had to finish it out here.

The guy in the tie. That's Rush! I don't run the big Bitcoin wallet any more. I had been using Electrum and loving it. It simplifies things a lot. But for Bitcoin, its a necessity. It's such a bonus for UNO to have Crytapus' fork of Electrum. Its Nat and I on Cryptocat. We'll leave it open on channel Unobtanium, checking it periodically. I had hoped some of the Europeans would be able to join.

[Sigh] Okay, K.S., give me time to set it up, and I will give it a go -- I do need to learn it!
EDIT: pardon me, K.S.: set it up; found that Instruction Nos 3 of 'Getting Started with Cryptocat' is incorrect; deleted the app.

re: the unbanked there are basic and none novel ways to work around lack of internet connectivity. 1. paper wallets or even fancy durable 'notes' ... just like normal fiat except some sealed privkey 2. local village leaders can keep ledgers and periodically someone goes to 'the city' with an internet and formally balances the online accounts 3. get them online ... low cost tech keeps evolving add crypto mix to help innovate and you could see the creation of cheap network setups for remote locations. suggest we delegate a project like this to a subcoin ... specifically a charity coin/community ... one of our uno-lite coins once a viable project is lined up we can donate "value" to the cause.

What do you mean IMZ? Instruction number 3 was incorrect? You just download it, choose a username, and enter the unobtanium channel...

Concerned here not to get into an acrimonious exchange. Exactly what I wrote, Nat. Followed the instructions. Didn't work. Deleted it.
[There's a pivotal issue that I'd be happy to explain in a PM.]

Testing out Cryptapus dice in my new Electrum wallet. I saved the addresses with labels according to the % odds to win. It's working flawlessly.

@ K.S.: Google Chrome -- but don't worry about it. I'll ask Ian on Monday.
Hey, Zelig!
And CBX/UNO on Cryptopia: finally got a CBX wallet up and running. The buy-sell split is fine. There's a bit of coin (mine) on both sides. Let's see what happens next.

Happy Saturday, Z & UNOverse ~8-0------------------------------------------------------------------ daily e•piph•a•knee re: the base pairs of crypto BTC, LTC, FTC and even DOT, POP, DOGE are currencies ... thus if demand drops the overhead inflation pushes the price down, dollar$ wise UNO is a commodity ... thus if demand drops the prices just stay put, a wider gap opens between the bid/asks, but more less trade just slackens to low volume, but (this is the good part) low volume -and/or- demand drops WILL NOT necessitate pushing the price down, dollar$ wise ... reason low inflation gravity -or- lack of new supply/production. Now UNOverse is just begining to see how things work as a trade pair, so this theory of 'commodity money' vs. 'inflationary gravity heavy money' may take a while get all the gears spinning ... but one thing is clear ... of all the trade pairs UNO offers some thing very different. ------------------------------------------------------------------ speaking of commodity ... https://coinsquare.io/canadian exchange paired with gold, silver, canuk bucks also https://lzf.com/ ... amerikan market ... $$/kilos ... could be uno exclusive also https://altmarket.com ... what if in the future it opens?
