On normal scenario, I do expect teams like Watford that got relegated from the EPL to be topping the EFL Championship League but, it often seems they get dumb and more dumb. They've been trying but, I expected more, I really don't like to have having phobia while placing bets on recently relegated teams from the EFL Championship. It almost seems like they need some kind of new strategy upon arrival though but then, it's still Europe.
Anyway, I'm believing Watford for a win on this one, either they are missing a first team player or not but with the Millwall team playing from home, it's not going to be an easy win.

They didn’t manage to win at all and at time they even were in danger of getting a goal.This is a bad result as now the 2nd place of Watford is in big question because Swansea the team that follows has played 2 less games so they have 2 games to play with only one point advantage.Brentford has played 3 games less so they have 3 more to play.I think the best Watford can do this season is fight for a place against a relegated Premier League team as I see it very difficult for them to go directly through.

Four matches in EFL Championship today:

Barnsley - Cardiff

Cardiff is in terrible form and they are losing from everybody, but now they have new head coach Mick McCarthy and maybe he can shock them to perform better.
Barnsley is much better in their h2h with Cardiff but they could be more tired after they played in FA cup few days ago.
Tricky match to predict with slight advantage to home team, but draw is possible.

Swansea vs Brentford is very important for both team, and stakes are title and EPL promotion.
No doubt that Swansea is better team here but Brentford is getting back best league striker Ivan Toney after suspension.
Swansea had one more day of rest after both team played in FA cup few days ago.
Brentford didn't lose a match in 16 matches and Swansea in 10, and both teams are in very good form and bookies are considering Brentford as favorites here but I think we are going to see home win or draw here.

Barnsley-Cardiff is a hard game to make comfortable predictions. If we look at the last matches between these two, we can see that Cardiff won all of the last 5 games. If Cardiff use this advantage, they can get a win in this game again.
For Coventry-Sheffield Wed, I can say that Sheffield Wed have been really bad in their away games. They won only 2 of 11 away games. I think Coventry will defeat them.
For Middlesbrough - Rotherham, the situation is same for Rotherham too. I think Middlesbrough will win easily.
For Swansea - Brentford, I can say that it is the toughest game of the night. Both side are fighting for promoting to the Premier League. If we look at the last 5 games between these two, we can see that Swansea could win only 1 time and Brentford beat them 3 times. Swansea are 2 points ahead of Brentford in the league now. Probably we will see a draw in this game.

EFL Championship is back with Round 27 and so far there are no postponed matches but some teams may be more tired because they played midweek matches.
Swansea played hard 1:1 draw match with Brentford and they had to play with ten man because of a red card and they missed a chance to get closer to Norwich.

Norwich vs Middlesbrough should be one more home win for Norwich but it will be harder than usual because they are missing their top striker Pukki and few other players, but Middlesbrough is not in good form and they are also missing several important midfield players.
Norwich also had more days to rest and prepare for this match, H2H is totally on Norwich side and they usually win 1:0 in previous matches.

Brentford vs Wycombe is expected easy home win and not much comments about last placed Wycombe as Brentford is team with best attack and best league striker, and h2h is also on their side.

Watford vs QPR is important match for both team and for different reasons and QPR had few more days to prepare  for this match.
Watford needs to win matches like this if they want to go in Premier League and they just signed new goalkeeper Rob Elliot as their first one is injured.
Bet: home win and under 2.5 goals as I don't expect a lot of goals in this match.

Reading won easy 3:1 in match with Bournemouth yesterday and they are going strong for EPL promotion with Joao in great form.

Pukki is confirmed back for Norwich against Middlesbrough so I am more confident in home win in this match.

Cardiff vs Millwall is looking like a draw match for me.
Millwall is draw specialist with 12 draws in league and in h2h matches with Cardiff they also had 7 draws with recent 3-9-1 record.

Of course Norwich play more dominantly because the quality of Norwich players is above Middlesbrough, and Middlesbrough last won against Norwich
in 2015. With this, Norwich is indeed more favorite to win, I also predict Norwich will win the match. Even though the first half is now over, both teams
still haven't scored a goal. But I am sure that it will not be long before Norwich score a goal, because I see statistics in the first half of the ball
possession of Norwich up to 71%. I'm sure it won't be long before Norwich players can score a goal.

Championship just got more interesting as Swansea, Reading and Brentford all won their matches and Norwich got only a draw in nervous performance resulted in red card for them and Middlesbrough even played better in my opinion.

I predicted correctly draw in Cardiff vs Millwall and Brentford win, failed with Norwich win, and waiting for Watford vs QPR in overall good round so far.

Brentford really just demolished Wycombe here in this game. The first half was so challenging that it ended 2-2. But there was a whole different Brentford and Wycombe in the second half. I assume Brentford played one of their best games here.

Watford really surprised me by losing to QPR 1-2 home. There was a really close game in both halves. So, I can't say that QPR didn't deserve it. Watford were not good enough.

Yes, there are some earlier postponed matches played in Championship during this midweek, and Norwich had a tough job playing just 0:0 with EFL draw kings Millwall.
Another chance for Swansea or Brentford and other teams to come closer if they manage to win in their matches.

Rotherham vs Derby was postponed again because one player tested positive for covid just 90 minutes before match start.
Brentford has EFL top goalscorer Toney and they are favorites against Bristol City but both teams have some injured players so be careful.

Brentford are the 3rd with 48 points and they have 2 games missing. There is a really nice competition for promoting to the Premier League as the champion. We are going to have a Swansea-Norwich game this week. Both side didn't lose in their last 5 games in the league. In the last 5 head-to-head games, Norwich won 4 times and Swansea won only once.

EFL Championship is back with Round 28 and he have a big match between first and third place teams Swansea vs Norwich to open it early.
Norwich is missing important players including Buendía because of the red card and it seems they are slowly starting to slip down and they are without win in last 3 matches.
Swansea is team with best defense in league with only 15 goals in their net, and they have most of the players available for today.
Bookmakers have set mostly equal odds for both team to win and h2h from previous matches is showing advantage for Norwich, but I can't back them this time.
I expect both teams to play carefully and draw as a result but my bet will be Under 2.5 goals

Swansea won 2:0 and played amazing against Norwich especially in defense, downfall of Norwich is now officially confirmed, and I am happy my betting prediction was correct for under 2.5 goals.
Swansea is now very close to take first place, they have one match less than Norwich and Watford 0:0 draw with Coventry is going on their hand.

Barnsley vs Derby is postponed again because of weather conditions.

Middlesbrough vs Brentford is a big chance for Brentford to come between Swansea and Norwich if they win today and they can do it with best league striker Toney and with the fact that they didn't lose a match in Championhip since October 2020.
One problem they have is their shaky defense and they often concede goals.
Middlesbrough is not in a good form and winning only one in last six matches, but they are still solid at home and near playoff zone.
In most recent since 2019 Brentford won 4 and there was one draw.
My bets: Draw no bet Bretnford win, more risky Both teams to score and Brentford win or draw.

Millwall vs Sheffield Wed is very high chance of a new draw despite some amazing Sheffield results recently, we know that Millwall is draw specialist and in their mutual h2h matches they mostly had draw results.

Brentford got a very huge 4-1 win against Middlesbrough away in their last game. They are the most scorer team in the league. Reading also have a decent and nice form. In the last game in Madejski Stadium, Brentford beat Reading 3-0. Brentford are my favorite in this game and I think they can win again here.

Some important changes on top of EFL Championship table and Brentford has taken second place between Norwich and Swansea and it was well deserved with win over Middlesbrough like I predicted.
Now they have the chance to go on top of the table with win or draw result against tough Reading in midweek.
Both teams have great attacks and best strikers in league and some issues in defense, and stats is showing they mostly play high scoring matches.
I am looking for h2h and Brentford have advantage, and I am going with similar recipe like in weekend.

That was amazing performance from Dasilva and best league goalscorer Toney for Brentford win and final score 1:3, and their shaky defense again conceded one goal, but what is important is that are are now new leader in front of Norwich and Swansea with total of 55 scored goals so far!
All of my bets were correct as both team scored, Brentford won and there was over 2.5 goals.



Title shot and promotion for Premier League is getting hot and Round 29 is going to be very interesting to predict.
It should be noted that Swansea, Bournemouth, Barnsley and Bristol City played in FA cup in midweek and they could be more tired, with only Bournemouth advancing in next round.

When I first saw Norwich leading the table I did not pay attention to their stats like the goals scored and conceded.When I looked carefully now I see Brentford has much better stats than any other team regarding goals scored and conceded.It is still very unclear who is going to come out on top but right now Brentford seems like the strongest contender.
