Sheffield played amazing second half, after they conceded goal in first goal, they scored four goals in match.
They are one step closer to direct Premier League promotion but Luton is five points behind them.
I expected different scenario but I cant win all the time

Rotherham vs Luton

Championship Round 43 is starting tomorrow with six matches player tomorrow and six on April 19th.
There are some interesting matches that can decide promotion and survival in league and I am making three predictions for April 18th.

Rotherham vs Burnley
Champion Burnley enters this math relaxed and have nothing to fight for, but Rotherham is not going to have all players available.
I expect open match with goals and quality is on Burnley side, players can increase their price if they perform well now.
H2H history of this two teams is 100% on Butnley side.

There are six matches scheduled for today in EFL Championship league, and many of them are hard to predict but I found two I like.

Reading vs Luton
This is best bet for me today.
Reading is missing many players and they play against Luton who needs points for Premier League promotion battle.
I know Reading needs points for survival but it will be hard to do anything against one of the teams that is in very good form.
Reading did not win for nine rounds and it wont happen today against Luton.

Middlesbrough vs Hull
Odds are not very good for home win but I cant see any other outcome in this match.
Both teams are missing players today but Hull dont have many motives to play unlike Middlesbrough.
It's not going to be easy for Middlesbrough like odds suggest but they should win anyway and Akpom should score.

Having secured promotion to the Premier League, Burnley is now playing games at a slow pace. I expected such a drop in performance and a great season is about to come for them. I think Queens Park Rangers are going to take the field to win in the race to stay in the league and they will definitely play for the win. If QPR plays full attack, he can make mistakes in defense. No matter how much Burnley slows down the tempo, they will take advantage of obvious defensive errors. I think there will be more than three goals in this match.

Most of the matches of Round 44 EFL Championship is played tomorrow, and we only have two more rounds to finish regular part of this season!
We still dont know who is going to Premier League, except Burnley, playoff positions are not set, and we dont know all clubs who are going to be relegated.
Sheffield United, Luton and Middlesbrough are guaranteed playoff spots but they all have chances for direct Premier League promotion.
There is a chance we could see back scratching in next few rounds with clubs that have nothing to play for.
Burnley should win at home but I am not touching them with that odds against QPR.

Wigan vs Millwall
Wigan is dead bottom and I dont think they will survive in Championship this season, Millwall could seal their fate.
Odds are great for away win and they need points for better playoff positions but they need to get back winning.
I dont expect many goals in this match with Wigan having worst attack in league and Millwall likes playing under 2.5 goals.

Coventry vs Reading
Coventry can creep in playoff zone with win against desperate Reading that is missing many players for this match.
Quality is on home side and with support of their fans they should win tomorrow, and they didnt lose from Reading in last few H2H matches.
Reading is worst away team this year with only 3 wins, and they will have hard time against Coventry.

Wigan vs Millwall
My Bet: Millwall win

Bet Lost.
I would never though Millwall could lose this match but it happened, with few other unexpected results in this round.
As a result from this match Wigan again has fighting chance for survival and Millwall is out from playoff positions again.

Coventry vs Reading
My Bet: Coventry win

Bet Won!
Coventry won but Reading had decent resistance and they performed best they could.
If positions stay like this Coventry will continue with playoff matches and Reading is going to be releagated.

One more match left in this round and it is cherry on top with Luton playing against Middlesbrough tomorrow in battle for third place.
Luton is currently in better form but Middlesbrough have best goal scorer in Championship, and I expect to see goals in this match.
Last two matches of this teams Middlesbrough was better but Luton will now have support of their home fans.
Next two matches for Luton are with Blackburn and Hull, for Middlesbrough that is Rotherham and Coventry.

There was one match today in Championship and Cardiff was better than Rotherham in battle for survival in league.
New round 45 is already starting tomorrow and we are in finishing days of regular season in Championship.
There is only one more round after this and we are then moving on with playoff matches, and I like that part very much.

Blackpool vs Millwall
This is very important match for both teams, Blackpool need points to stay in league, and Millwall can get back up to playoff positions.
Quality is obviously on Millwal side, but both teams are not in great form and they will miss some players tomorrow.
Blackpool has amazing H2H record at home against Millwall but this is not going to be easy match for both of them.
Hard match to make predictions, so I will wait and see lineups and update my prediction tomorrow.

Luton Town secured third place in playoffs and Middlesbrough fourth place, now we are waiting for positions five and six, after that playoff matches can start for one more team that goes in EPL.
Blackpool is relegated after losing from Millwall and we are waiting to find two more teams who will be relegated with Blackpool in last two rounds.

Coventry vs Birmingham
This is huge chance for Coventry to secure playoff position before last round and Birmingham have nothing to play for in this match.
I think Coventry is going to win supported with their fans in last home match of the season, and they need t ogive their best to win.
Coventry lost only one of last 15 matches and I dont think they will lose today in this important match.
Odds are not great but I am taking them.

Sheffield Utd vs Preston
This is last match in home stadium for Sheffield and they should celebrate comeback in Premier League with one more win against Preston.
I know Preston is desperate for points and playoff spot, but I think that will open more space for Sheffield to score from counter attacks.
Sheffield has nothing to play but for glory and supporters, so I am expecting to see lot of goals.
Maybe we could see again results like 2:2 and Preston could return favor if they qualify for Premier League next season.

Sunderland vs Watford
Big chance for Sunderland to get in the last train for playoff position and get a last ticket for Premier League.
Watford is not easy nut to break and they are not in good form with nothing to fight for, unless they receive good money to win against Sunderland.
Sunderland played very good second part of Championship and they didnt lost in last 7 matches, but they need to be concentrated today.

Huddersfield vs Sheffield United
This is one match today in EFL Championship and it is a tricky one for Huddersfield against Sheffield United.
Huddersfield needs to win or a draw to secure staying in league because they are just few points above relegation zone and there is one more round to be played.
Sheffield have nothing to play for and they can relax and test young players before last match in home stadium next round.
Both teams are missing some players but Huddersfield has a good H2H record against Sheffield and I think they wont lose today.

Last round is scheduled for Monday May 8th and after that we are going to know two more teams that are going to join Luton and Middlesbrough in playoff race for Premier League.
Reading, Blackpool and Wigan are all out of Championship and we know that Plymouth, Ipswich and one more team are coming back in Championship next season.
My predictions are coming in new few days but Coventry and Millwall have the best chance of getting in the playoff zone.

This is the last day in regular part of Championship and than we are moving to playoff phase with semi final matches in May 13 and May 14.
Sunderland has a good chance against Preston but they are missing many players today so I am skipping that one.
Burnley should win last match to celebrate title in front of home crowd but odds are low for me, maybe someone can try handicap or 1st half win.

Luton Town vs Hull City
Luton is still waiting for their opponent in playoff phase and this was amazing season for them to finish in third place.
They should crown this season witht win in front of home crowd and prepare for next match starting in few days.
Maybe they will rest some players but Hull City have no motives to play and they are missing six players today.

This is very interesting match that can decide last team to enter playoff spot.
Blackburn need to win and hope that other teams wont finish above them in table, Milwall can go in next phase even with draw in some combinations.
Both teams are not in great form and Blackburn didnt win a single match from last nine in all competitions, but they have great H2H record against Milwall.
I think home team will have more careful defensive approach today, but I am giving slight advantage to Blackburn.

It was crazy end of the season for last playoff spots, Coventry and Sunderland jumped in last two positions and I didnt expect that.
Millwall vs Blackburn was a goal fest and shame Blackburn didnt capitalize after that amazing 3:4 win.

For me they are one of the biggest favorites with Middlesbrough to join Burnley and Sheffield in Premier League, but anything can happen in playoffs.
Luton lost only eight matches this season, that is second best result after Burnley, and in last 30 matches in all competitions they lost only two!
My early predictions is that  we are going to see Luton and Middlesbrough in final match on May 27.

Championship is entering is final stage with semifinal playoffs and first match is scheduled for tomorrow between Sunderland and Luton.
I am looking at odds and I cant believe this gift from bookmakers on Luton, as Sunderland is missing many players for this match.
This two teams mostly play draw matches in previous H2H matches and I think both teams can score again, but Luton is favorite to qualify for me.

Sunderland managed to flip the score from losing to wining 2:1, and I didn't expect they could so this with so many missing players.
Anything can happen in rematch starting in few days and they will have advantage of home crowd in their favor.

Sunderland vs Middlesbrough is new semifinal match scheduled for tomorrow and I am not sure what to think about this one.
For me Middlesbrough is favorite to go into finals but playing away matches is never easy and they dont have very good H2H record against Sunderland.

Both teams didnt perform at their best level in last few matches but they managed to enter playoff positions.
Middlesbrough didnt wont in last four matches, but they have best goal scorer in league and they have advantage of home supporters.
Coventry have second best goal scorer in league Gyokeres and I am expecting to see more goals from both teams in this match.
H2H matches in Riverside Stadium are mostly in home advantage and I think they will win this match, but Coventry lost only one match in last 18 so it wont be easy.

They had full time amazing support from their away fans and now they have 50% chance to play in big league.



Championship Play off final and final match of this season is played next Saturday at Wembley Stadium between Luton town and Coventry city for last Premier League ticket.
Early odds are showing that Luton is slight favorite but things can change in next days when we see if there are any news and injured missing players.

Incidentally, Luton Town's been on my slips all of playoffs so you know how well that went, (well okay, Boro too, and we know how THAT went). I know they're the favourites but still surprised the odds aren't more balanced, yet still worth a place on one of my final accas for the season.
