A week after receiving two blades from GAW, Zoomhash now has them for $1100.  Is there price protection there?

Can we get an answer on this?

Having been through this with them already, the answer is no.  I bought two 10 packs from them and the price dropped 40% the next week.  I was told there was nothing they could do.

Has anyone been able to get NiceHash to work via the Hosted GAW Miner Blades?

I get 100% rejects I try to use NiceHash.

It sure would be nice if I could use NiceHash.

I get the same problem

From there website FAQ page it reads :
I am getting only rejected shares. What is wrong?
Please, first read the topic Which miners are supported?.

cgminer up to version 3.7.2 (which is supported for Scrypt mining) has a bug in code and is not compatible with NiceHash service. This bug was later fixed in cgminer, but unfortunately latest releases of cgminer do not support Scrypt anymore. Therefore sgminer has to be used for Scrypt and recent versions of cgminer/BFGMiner has to be used for SHA256.

Soo looks like perhaps GAW is possibly using some flavor of cgminer ?

I have a small update. A VP at Gridseed just asked that they can do to make this latest price drop right. Here is what I said:

Its pretty simple. First be fair to your customers. Stop charging as much as you can, just because you think you can. Its clear thats the case when you can drop the price by almost half in a few days.

Plus, this strategy is not going to work going forward anyways as new competitors are showing up. They may be small, but we (GAW) have the buying power to bring them global. Plus, I have a war chest of up to 100mm from my partners at Cantor, specially to support other companies if I need to.

We need to do right by our customers, and what has been happening is not that.

Specifically, with this situation. We should have the last two weeks of blade orders prorated to the new price so I can reimburse those customers. I don’t plan, or need, to keep a dime. I want to make it right to the customers.

Going forward the pricing should update on regular scheduled intervals. This way we can plan for this. And the customers can then decide when the right time to buy is.

Hey Josh so if we purchased a blade in the last week or two does that mean you will reimburse us with the difference?

There is extranonce bugfix available for cgminer. In theory it should enable it to work with Nicehash, however I cannot confirm that.

This is great news, one question...

If the blades are to be priced roughly in half, would not that make them roughly the same price as your miners, which will not be available for 3 to  4 weeks?

I guess I am asking if your prices will also be lowered to stay competitive?

Hmm, I ordered a blade on the 19th that didn't go live until the 23rd. Is the two week window by the order date or the live date?

I would certainly appreciate it. It is looking like it will be a very long time before I break even on this purchase, especially considering the inevitable difficulty jumps when the new hardware rounds hit the market.

If I get reimbursed then I'm gonna just have to support such a great company and buy another miner at the new low rate like I said Tongue

Good way to quit smoking, spend all your money on miners.

Gridseed Blade: $950 / 5.2Mh = $182.69 per 1Mh

GAW Miners War Machine: $7,000 / 54Mh = $129.63 per 1Mh

GAW's own brand miners are already much cheaper than a reduced price blade.

It seems they are cheaper elsewhere...

A week after receiving two blades from GAW, Zoomhash now has them for $1100.  Is there price protection there?

There is another reseller selling for $829 including shipping.
