the amount you guys get back will probably not be the price difference from what you paid now and $950. That would mean you guys got an even better deal since you got it cheaper and get to mine with it for a week or two. That extra week or two is worth a fair amount so I would assume the 2 week ago purchases will get less than the one week ago purchases (maybe 150-200 per week per machine?). I just bought one when the price dropped to $950 now so I am content.

150-200 per machine per week??? Not in those market conditions, its more like 50-60 usd per week.

Helping Customers Out Who Bought Right Before the Price Drop
Hey Josh,
I had two ideas for you on how you could help those of us out who bought right before the price drop without costing you a ton:
1. Extend the warranty for a full year on on the gridseeds and blades purchased within two weeks of the price drop (my understating is that gridseeds and blades have a two-month warranty -- four months for founders) so that would offer us a nice peace of mind knowing you have our back on equipment failure. That shouldn't cost you too much and maybe you can get gridseed to replace any units that fail over the year. For me knowing that you'll cover me for a year from my miner becoming a brick is worth a lot; I hate trying to deal with dead equipment for repair or replacement!
2. Let us send the gridseeds and blades purchased within two weeks of the price drop to you for a free year of hosting. Again not a lot of out-of-pocket money for you and nice feature for us having you handling the hosting. After a year we get them back or go on the 2.5% program.
Maybe some customers have other ideas? Just wanted to think of some win-win ways that we can work together.

Jamis,

Your ideas are not good enough, sorry. I lost 4500$ because of the price drop, do you really think extended warranty or free hosting is of the same value?

I think Josh got something figured out already.
Will be waiting for the official announcement about this topic.

WTF YOU DROPPED  prices to 59 bucks for members!

What is a member?  is that one of those founding club members that I missed out because your thread was not in group buys like zoom hash?

So the first 20 I purchased were from zoom hash ..  I found you and started with you on the 8th of april. I purchased 10 from you.

So does  mean I can buy  the 59 dollar grid seeds?  Or does it mean I have to buy the 89 dollar ones?

BTW thank you for working on my issue for the 20 port hub order.

So am I a member?

Hi Josh,
I just spent a hour writing how great I think your company is and was doing a preview of it and got auto logged off this forum. I just joined I did not know it would do that. I am bummed! Man it was pretty good! I am not going to re-write it all.

I just want to say thank you for all you and your company have done for me. I will send as many people from Dogecoin forums to your store!
I sent you a email earlier today not sure if you got it. I wanted to thank you so I sent it there and then found this site so I wrote this long great  opinion about my dealings with GAW and it got lost!  Angry

Anyway I was one that took a chance in the early days and this company GAW is the best IMO.
I will keep coming back and recommending at the Dogecoin forum.  I think I am lost here it says Bitcoin at the top! I better get out of here! LOL!
Thanks again Josh!

Josh I know you are working to solve my 20 port usb hub issue.  So I decided to buy 5 more gridseeds at 60 bucks a piece.

Thanks in advance for:

 A) fixing the 20 port hub issue
 B) selling gridseeds at 60 bucks each.

phil

When you look at the power consumption vs hash-rate and the fact that these are 55nm chips, the new miners are clearly based on gs3355 chips. The War-Machine possibly has some 800 of them, maybe they put more of these chips on a larger die. Only Josh can tell.

I believe the War Machine and Gawminers have Zeus Chips not Gridseed chips - at least the Zeus Newsletter that came out last night said they're supplying the Gawminers.

I also heard the hashra units use Zeus Chips but that has not been confirmed.

Hi. We are aware of this and working on it at this moment.

Thanks!

Anyone else have blades go down in the UI in the last hour? Is this software update currently in progress or something? I had 3 blades go down all at once, which has never happened.  Only 1 has come back up within the last hour.

I can write to support (which I've done for this type of issue before), but if it's an issue widely affecting people, it would be nice to get a hosting update email, or an update here.

Thanks.

Mine went down at the same time, figured it was just maintenance so I went to bed.  Woke up this morning to find it was up but mining at clevermining.....strange thing is I had NEVER mined there!! Thought maybe my pwd was compromised but my pools hadnt been changed, restarted it and set the pool and all is back to normal.

This is quite alarming, I suggest you check where yours are mining, ill be contacting support about this.
