Hi all,

If you're having trouble with anything hosting-related, please open up a support ticket with us so our tech department can help as soon as possible. Please refrain from posting support-related questions here since our tech dept. won't know about it and won't be able to help (especially without any account info).

Something to be aware of ==>  http://www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/216ydt/psa_possible_miner_exploit/

I am not sure how we can protect our host miners at GAW from the exploit?  Any Ideas?

SO i'm 98.75% sure these are zeusminer's chips..

Posts made from a visit to Zeusminer's warehouse.

https://twitter.com/freakingcat/status/463634031951622144/photo/1

Those look an AWFUL lot like a shell for the uniquely designed "WAR MACHINE"

http://www.gawminers.com/the-war-machine-54-mh-s-asic-scrypt-miner-week-one/

When you look at the power consumption vs hash-rate and the fact that these are 55nm chips, the new miners are clearly based on gs3355 chips. The War-Machine possibly has some 800 of them, maybe they put more of these chips on a larger die. Only Josh can tell.

I believe the War Machine and Gawminers have Zeus Chips not Gridseed chips - at least the Zeus Newsletter that came out last night said they're supplying the Gawminers.

I guess you are right. I only wonder where the big difference in power consumption between (GAW, Hashra) and Zeus comes from.
Probably nobody knows yet what the performance of these machines is going to be.
I would like to buy one, but I will wait for more detailed info and specifications.
Right now I'm sitting here with 20 unsellable Gridseeds because of the 3 fold decrease in price in one month.
There is always the possibility that this will happen with the Zeus miners as well.

For all you guys thinking GAW just crammed a bunch of seeds in his miner and slapped a sticker on a case, this what was written:

Our miners have no relationship with gridseed in any way

The math is eerily similar, I agree. Once we get our units, we'll know for sure, but I trust GAW. They are GAW LABS on my credit card bill after all.

fully upset with what I received. Have emailed support yesterday with no reply.
Awaiting instructions on how to return.

Req# 8229

Good luck getting a reply/refund in a timely manner... I've been waiting a week for a Bitcoin refund of an order they never shipped....

Called multiple times throughout the week, got an answer and a "we'll get right on that" But i seriously don't know how long a bitcoin refund could take.

I have a small update. A VP at Gridseed just asked that they can do to make this latest price drop right. Here is what I said:

Its pretty simple. First be fair to your customers. Stop charging as much as you can, just because you think you can. Its clear thats the case when you can drop the price by almost half in a few days.

Plus, this strategy is not going to work going forward anyways as new competitors are showing up. They may be small, but we (GAW) have the buying power to bring them global. Plus, I have a war chest of up to 100mm from my partners at Cantor, specially to support other companies if I need to.

We need to do right by our customers, and what has been happening is not that.

Specifically, with this situation. We should have the last two weeks of blade orders prorated to the new price so I can reimburse those customers. I don’t plan, or need, to keep a dime. I want to make it right to the customers.

Going forward the pricing should update on regular scheduled intervals. This way we can plan for this. And the customers can then decide when the right time to buy is.

On the blade price drop topic... Is hosting still an option when purchasing a Blade? Haven't been on the site for a while and I can't find Blade under the "Scrypt Hosting" category or see anything about it in the product description.

Thanks

any update on this?

As you can imagine, there is a large element of this out of our control. We are attempting to get a company to think differently about how it does business.

Gridseed has pulled a few surprising moves (which is the reason for the delay), I would not say what they are trying to do just yet. I am going to give it another day before I release whats going on. I am hopeful they will do the right thing.

But, as I said earlier, I will personally contribute to helping the miners that got stuck under their business decision.

Guys, I respectfully ask for your patience a little longer, I assure you I am not holding out on you Smiley I will provide updates as soon as I get them.

This is a very delicate situation. Gridseed has never had anyone stand up to them. And they are not taking it well.

They have already reneged twice on offers to compensate customers. I will have the final word soon. I am doing everything in my power to fight for our customers.

I am thinking about buying a few asics but I am stuck between GAW and Zeus.  Can someone tell me why I would want to buy a fury vs blizzard.  When the blizzard is 1.2 + 60% additional cloud hashing vs the fury 1 mh/s.
thanks

Our week two price is the same. We will be at the same speed (we always advertise the lowest speeds) and we take credit cards Smiley
