Now that there is already a vaccine , could it be the end of covid- 19 virus? How are you after one year of covid-19 pandemic?

Hopefully that the vaccines that were created will significantly decrease the people from acquiring the Covid virus. But given its wide-scale damage caused globally, this will take a long time until the virus gets eradicated completely.
Take Polio virus as an example, it became a global pandemic in the 1940-1950s which killed at least half a million people.¹ Although a vaccine was successfully created, the virus still exists today but in very limited quantities.
The creation of a covid vaccine in such a short amount of time gives me hope about the future scientific research that may solve the cure for HIV and cancer. I do hope that this would start the journey towards a scientific breakthroughs of other viruses that may be curable in the future.

I would still not count on the complete disappearance of COVID 19, but undoubtedly vaccination should bring the situation in a manageable direction and in a year we will not hear about all sorts of restrictions and lockdowns. Let's hope that the governments of the countries will learn the lessons and that more funds will be allocated for medical research now, because the current epidemic has shown what economic losses a serious pandemic can bring.

Yesterday I attended a seminar organized by one of the top virologists and he was explaining that the vaccines have an efficacy of only around 25% against the new South African strain. And taking in to account how contagious the Coronavirus is, it may not take much time for this strain to spread to other countries from South Africa. And sadly, this is not going to be the last mutation affecting the Coronavirus. We can expect further mutations that result in many more drug-resistant strains. Feeling skeptical about the future right now.

The Dying continues and the counts of recovery is getting lower than the case of dying , Now that the Vaccines arrived already in here , then maybe in the next weeks or months the fight will end and the Country living will comes back to what we have back in 2019.

The virus is here to stay. Initially there was optimism that the vaccines are equally effective against the new strains. But the latest data suggests that it is not the case. The South African strain is especially troublesome, as few of the currently available vaccines are effective against it. Even the current vaccines are not available in adequate quantities and now we have to face these issues as well.

After 1 year of this pandemic I am hoping that those people that has been affected and businesses that has been closed due to this virus, will rise again and soon it may open again. I agree, it will take months to year before all pharmaceutical companies can provide the world with their vaccines, it is good that they produce vaccine in just a year and now they are distrubuting it in some countries usually creating vaccines takes time and many clinical trials, economic slowly healing but for 3rd world country like us it will leave us to many debt and will take decade I think to pay them all, I hope vaccine will be very effective and efficient no more news that people died because of vaccines.

     I for one really do wish for this pandemic to end. It is dragging down every single one of us in this entire planet. Even with the vaccines being created, the availability to reach every single one in every nation is still quite difficult maybe even impossible. And not only that, some of the people who are fortunate enough to recieve these vaccines are choosing to not get vaccinated due to conspiracies and lack of education towards these vaccines. I just hope this gets sorted out soon cause a lot are already dying, not just infected people but also the struggling people in the sinking economies.

After one year of covid 19 everyone is trying to move forward, economy is rising and falling, trying to be used to covid 19 protocols, wearing of nose mask, hand sanitizers, social distancing.

As we observe everyone is embracing the situation because of this covid19, as much as we wanted to end this pandemic we must just follow the protocols. Glad we survive the first year of the pandemic but hoping we will end this soon since there is already the vaccine announced. We must forward and continue with our lives and do ways to sustain and fulfill needs for the family.
