I think it's gotten a lot higher, and people aren't vaccinated yet. fear is still haunting us, living ina cage, and there's a lot more to us What surrounds us is this life the best solution we should pursue I personally don't want this kind of thing

the worse is yet to come because the newer variants are more potent and can spread faster. there are possibilities that the ones who are vaccinated already can still be infected by the newer variants to which vaccines today are going to be useless. now the labs are going to have to create another study and trials again. the more we suffer from these lockdowns the more will just kill selves out of depression. the unemployment and families evicted from homes are just making all these worse.

Amazing. One year has passed so quickly. Just realized that one year has passed since I've received a laptop at work and was sent to work at home. Even though the cure is created, I see no real end of this pandemic. I feel that slowly my life is returning to "before pandemic" period, as 1 day in the week I need to work from the office, and shops are slowly opens. But, the number of cases is not decreasing, not everyone is getting a vaccine. Even worse, bureaucracy and economic "wars" starts now, by choosing which vaccine to buy, which is bad or good.

The higher the number of infected people, higher will be the probability of new mutations. Already there are resistant strains being reported from countries such as UK, South Africa and Brazil. The Brazilian strain seems to be very dangerous, as large number of people have died in that country during the last few days. It is still too early to say whether the vaccines will work against these strains or not. That sort of data takes many months of research to get finalized.

I'm forced to buy masks, otherwise I will not be server anywhere and be fines. I'm can afford to buy masks and vaccine for all my family members. But is that how government should care about their citizens who pay taxes?

Another stupidity - we have queues for vaccine, we dont have enough of them, we distribute less than 1 thousand daily, we havent decided which one we will order - we managed to lose few thousands of vaccine dozes. Authorities confirm they received it in airport terminal, loaded it to a truck. Medical institution does not confirm they got them. Transport company says they have delivered. No one is punished for that!

To be aboveboard, we have to stop complaining about the government's selfish habit for it will only add salt to the wound because they didn't care much about us and what they are after his their political ambition.
With that been said, if I were I won't have made any payment for the vaccine probably is not from the government and it may not be approved either even if it government approved are sure it does not have any side effect? You said yourself that the government hasn't made any clear decision about the vaccine that's proper for the people to use.
If you haven't paid for the vaccine I will advise you to eat food/fruits that will boost your immune system and exercise 3times a week till the vaccine get to your environs.

I can't agree with you. In my country (India), the government is distributing vaccines for free. However, right now the supplies are limited to those who are aged 60 and above. Younger people who want to get vaccinated can't do that, because the vaccines are not available in the market. And regarding masks, I don't think that the government has the obligation to distribute them for free. It is for our personal usage, and we need to purchase them.

True, "the government has no obligation to distribute them for free", but should they immediately fine me with 200+ EUR for not wearing mask then? An example - if you havent got a mask, you can ask for 1 for free in most of institutions in the US, get free from social workers.
It is good that vaccine in your country is distributed for free. In my country, I must buy vaccine, I must be vaccinated, I must wait in queue to get one. This is a circle of stupidity.

Actually, it's only now we can say that one year has passed since since the pandemic hit the world. Before March 2020, although the virus was already there, few people realized its danger, and as we can see from the graph below,

a very low number of cases was registered. Judging by the same graph, the pandemic is far from being over. Like many other people I believe that vaccination will change the situation for better in the health department, while on the economic front it is changing for better already

Well.. global economy hasn't crashed, but I can't say that it is in really good health either. You can't solely rely on the Dow Jones Index and the other stock indices as a parameter for the economic resurgence. The stock market only deals with publicly listed companies and excludes the small and medium sized enterprises. Some of the sectors, such as tourism, hospitality and aviation are in death bed right now. 6 more months of the pandemic would spell doom for them.

After 1 year, of course there are so many new events and new normal life, especially in the crypto world everything is now completely digital,

According to the Pew Research Center, the number of poor people have increased by almost 130 million as a result of this pandemic. Those who have the skills to get meaningful employment through various online means have managed to stay afloat. On the other hand, a lot of the people who don't have such skills lost their jobs and were pushed to poverty. And cryptocurrency have indirectly benefitted from the pandemic. The inflation created as a result of various stimulus measures have propelled the prices of BTC.

I just checked the aviation part, and it looks like, at least for some of them, this is not the case.









From the graphs above it doesn't look like the companies are in a bad shape currently.

Not trying to say that COVID-19 hasn't impacted the world economy. I'm just saying that the economy turned out to be more resilient than some analysts thought.
