Way too much hope has been put into the vaccines with no backup plans whatsoever. That makes me deeply uncomfortable but maybe I'm just being paranoid  Undecided
people happy about vaccine at first, when its come, they reject it because afraid about effect after. herd immunity is the simple solution to fight this situation.
the other place, they need life necessities than injection. doesnt mean they are ready to peel their life, just to think about what they need in that day.

the fear comes from themselves because they believe too much in fake news about vaccines. they should be able to choose between news they have to believe and news they don't need to hear. there is no need to be afraid of the effects of vaccination because the effects are only temporary.

There is a lot of propaganda going on. Even here in India, many people are getting WhatsApp audio messages claiming that taking vaccines will make the recipient impotent and may result in deaths and other complications. Unfortunately here there are a lot of people (especially elderly) who doesn't have a high level of education and they believe that these rumors are true. The government tried to prosecute some people for spreading such rumors, but then the leftist judges in Supreme Court struck down the action, saying that it's against FoE.

most likely the mastermind behind all this is a group that does not side with the current government.
after all, it's a fact that very few people get mildly ill after receiving the vaccine, and most people don't feel any effects after receiving the vaccine.

Now that there is already a vaccine , could it be the end of covid- 19 virus? How are you after one year of covid-19 pandemic?

There is a saying," Behind the Clouds the Sun is still Shining".
I don't think that we will come back to the reality we had before this pandemic. I think that it will be forever with us. We will learn how to fight against it and there will not be so many victims, but this virus can't disappear. I am very disappointed that there are so many things that we are deprived due to this disease. But I strongly believe that one day we will get rid of all these restrictions and we will be able to travel again.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a broad impact on the global health and economic crisis throughout 2020 and this year. The governments of countries in the world have taken various mitigation and cooperation measures to suppress the spread of COVID-19 while accelerating economic recovery. this year, global economic performance is expected to grow positively in line with the economic stimulus program and accelerated vaccination.

lndeed for all these years had been toughiest for us. We all had it rough because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's hard to live our lives normally like how we used to because everything's not the same anymore. We have to obey the rules (health protocols) for us to live in safety.

In my own personal opinion, i think that even if there is a vaccine developed it'll still be uncertain if it could end the virus. Taking a vaccine has side effects and we'll never know what will happen after years of being injected by a vaccine. ONLY TIME WILL TELL. Right now everything is unsure but like you said, there is a saying that "Behind the clouds the sun is still shining" and i believe it will happen someday.

You are being overly confident about the economy. I am not expecting any major recovery, due to the spread of the delta variant. This time the issue is that developed nations such as the United States and Australia are being impacted badly. And the government has also run out of cash, after 18 continuous months of stimulus measures. The only sector whose outlooks remains positive is cryptocurrency. Others like aviation are in deathbed. If the situation continues for another 12 months, then we are going to witness complete economic meltdown.

Actually, there is another variant called lambda, and I'm sure there will be more if the virus continues to mutate and spread. I don't have high hopes for our economy's recovery because our country is notoriously bad at dealing with pandemics, which makes me sick because of those who are in the position. That's why most people are now relying on cryptocurrency due to its growth since the start of the pandemic, and it's really annoying that our government is focusing too much on crypto while failing to provide adequate solutions to the pandemic.

There was a chance to contain the pandemic in first half of 2021. But what happened was the rich nations hoarded all the supplies, and left hardly anything for the poor nations. As a result the third world saw a spike in the emergence of mutant strains. If a large share of the population was vaccinated, then the chances of these mutant strains emerging would have been low. But that didn't happened and dozens of strains emerged from nations with low vaccination rate, such as Brazil, India and Indonesia.

Yes it's true the virus keeps mutating from time to time and it's quite worrying when the virus mutates into a deadly virus,
It is very disappointing, of course, when the government has not yet succeeded in overcoming the pandemic because we can see that football in Europe has been opened to supporters.
indeed since the pandemic we can see that many people are starting to follow cryptocurrency

Why keep blaming the government? If everyone was following the precautions (wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing.etc), then the pandemic might have got contained in 2020 itself. The entire world is suffering because of reckless behavior from a few anti-social elements who refused to follow safety protocol. And now the same is happening, as a lot of people are refusing to get vaccinated. These people are not just putting themselves in to danger, but also endangering those around them.

The inception of the Vaccine has been a relief and a means of rendering hope to the people that life could tend returning back to normal,
this is because the devastating effect of the Pandemic was wildly felt by almost all nations of the world, but the vaccine is a gradual and,
will stand as a remedy to the harm, and normal life be restored.

The pandemic that hit globally made the economy of many countries negative, I'm afraid if the pandemic continues for another year there will be a great crisis, of course the presence of a vaccine is very much needed to fight covid so we must support state policies that require their people to be vaccinated.

But the government should be blamed as well. They are the one who are responsible for not closing borders for example. They make decisions how to act during pandemic situations. As an example - you have mentioned social distancing. Of people are to blame for not taking it seriously, but last year, when our government announced a strict lockdown in two weeks, all the grocery stores where crowded with people, nearly breathing into each others ears in queues. If they would organize goods delivery during lockdown, people would be happy to follow it and sit at home.

Now in some countries government divide people into vaccinated or unvaccinated. Unvaccinated can not even enter a shop. This is just an example, but this is an awful discriminations.

Now the vaccines are available in necessary quantities and those who refuse to get vaccinated are doing so out of their own choice. And this may sound harsh, but those who refuse to get vaccinated pose a grave threat to those who are in his vicinity (both vaccinated and unvaccinated). So I wouldn't blame the government if they impose such restrictions. It is very simple actually. If you feel that the government is discriminating against you, then you can go to the nearest health center and get the vaccine.

Vaccine is available but many of them are still in trial phase but it's said that it helped the immunization of those who took the shot.

But there's also those people that have ended sadly after taking the vaccine. It's not for everyone and now that we're about to approach the 2nd year of dealing this virus, people are about to get used to it with the new normal.

In my country, I think it's safe to blame the government, bad decisions here and there, almost 2 years and our government has shown how incompetent they are with their decisions, corruption even exists (even worse than it was back then) our own government is blatantly showing their incompetence and corruption amidst the pandemic, I'm not saying that us citizens did not make any mistakes or carelessness during this pandemic but the blame would really have to be the government, especially the president itself, disappointing.

Why keep blaming the government? If everyone was following the precautions (wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing.etc), then the pandemic might have got contained in 2020 itself. The entire world is suffering because of reckless behavior from a few anti-social elements who refused to follow safety protocol.
That last part isn't true.  I think most people in the US are vaccinated by now, and the pandemic is much improved despite all the hype and continued media coverage of it.  If people who've either been vaccinated or gotten the virus and recovered are combined, immunity against COVID should be pretty high.

Despite that, governments around the world are still losing their minds over this, still requiring people to get vaccinated, and a lot of businesses are still requiring masks (even though most people are just wearing them for show at this point).  I don't think the government is responsible for keeping the pandemic at bay, but they are responsible for the policies they've set--and some of them have been completely inconsistent with science, and I hate that.

The experts are saying that 80% of the total population needs to be vaccinated in order to achieve herd immunity. That is a long way off, as in the United States only 53% of the population has been fully vaccinated. So I am OK with the government and various businesses making masks mandatory. We haven't yet reached a stage where it is safe to avoid safety precautions such as masks and social distancing. I think the only country that has achieved >80% vaccination as of now is Portugal. They are followed by the UAE (78%), Qatar (76%) and Singapore (76%).
