After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus

Just a little update. This pandemic isn't yet stopped by Vaccines. In fact in some countries, many cases were recorded after a year in pandemic and that sucks. Not because we have vaccines already, but because of the incompetencies of its leaders. Many people are still dying like in India and more variants of concerns are emerging.

I am a resident of India, and I have to say that India has managed the situation pretty well. There was a spike due to the Delta variant, but it was contained on time. On the other hand, countries such as Brazil are now reporting death toll even higher than that in India (despite the fact that Brazil is having a population that is 1/7th that of India). Also, here the vaccination rate has picked up after central government took over the task from the state governments. India now has the highest per day vaccination rate in the world.

Im proud of India and its people, although at the beginning of the handling of covid there was chaos, but now it is better.  Compared to my country, which is still trying to vaccinate, the people prefer herd stupidity over herd immunity.  They even think that covid is just a conspiracy and does not exist and is not dangerous.  In fact the case of death is very real.

I don't know but there are still people who believes in such kind of thing, they are continue to resist and not allowing the vaccines due to that kind of suspicions, for them this virus is just conspiracy and nothing but a simple tool to threaten the people, not realizing that there  are many people who already suffered and died because of the spread out of this virus.

Now that another variant which came from India which is travelling now from borders to borders health executive needs to watch this to prevent from spreading, knowing the danger not only to those who doesn't take the vaccine yet but also to those who already have, as they can still be a carrier and risk the life of their love ones.

How this is possible? Are you living in Sweden, where they tried the "herd immunity" approach (and failed in it)? In almost every other country, lockdown was imposed at one time or the other. I don't think that there are any exceptions. In certain countries such as Greece and Australia, I heard that lockdown was imposed for as much as 6 months. And here in India we had lockdown of 7 weeks during the first phase and then for around 1-1.5 months during the second phase (although during the second phase it was the state governments which imposed the lockdown).

I agree, though they said the covid vaccines are safe and tested it cant guarantee a 100% effectiveness and no extreme side effects. Only time can tell and it takes a long way before they can create a truly proven and tested vaccines that can act as protection to not get infected. Its scary to see these side effects after getting vaccinated if you have other illness.

Here you did not take into account one nuance - you MUST cross the bridge. The coronavirus does not give you a choice - either a high probability of getting sick or "walking across the bridge" which is a vaccine. Yes, I absolutely agree that in areas where, due to the low population density, the risks of infection drop sharply and the risks of the consequences of vaccination and the disease become equal. The different perspective of people in advance country and developing country is too huge. Education becomes the main factor of people's mindset. In my country, they shouted that in aboard they don't lockdown and can watch the Europe Lague and they compared with the local condition that will implement 100% WFH in some cities which have a highest infected case. In fact, in aboard the total of vaccinated people have reached over 20% of the total population then so different with my country that has reached just 2% of the total population. The government gets hard to handle the pandemic just because of the stupidity and less literation.

How can you complain about the government while they are very serious people and work directly with Covid, even they are very eager to receive equipment and vaccines to fight this pandemic wave but the effectiveness of the vaccine is still not stable and there is no other way but to try to prolong and wait more, most of them have warned about medical and health check, but the general situation is that many people still do not listen to the advice, human resources are not enough for these cases
