Hi everyone!

I'm new in the Crypto World, but I am absolutely obsessed with it.

I want to start investing in BTC/ETH, maybe also some others like THETA, Audius and more.

I am following different youtubers, twitter accounts, discord channels, to learn as much I can about crypto as I can.

BUT, is not the correct time to invest? As long as I understand, we are in a bull-run right now, and many do believe that BTC and also ETH will grow. Some belive BTC will hit 100K and some also think ETH will be up to 10% of BTC total value by end of the year.
- And addition to this, we might see a drop and go in a bear-market, but this seems not to be the case.

I'm also looking into start long trading on buybit, I want to start small and get the hang of it and learn the system and how it works.

SO, back to the actual question: is NOW a good or bad time to begin investing? Or should I wait for a heavy drop in the market, which might not come?
- I am looking for a LONG term investment.

If you are new traders, Then invest only in known coins. BTC, ETH, BNB etc is doing good. I Don't think this time is bad for investment. I think this time also good for investment. Demand of cryptocurrency still increasing. And price of al popular coin will be increase soon. So from my opinion,  It’s still good time for investing.

If I'd just come here now, I'd buy with what I can tbh. You should probably remember that buying will be risky and you can do a lot with a little - there's no need to overdo it.

If a crash comes with a similar severity as what we normally see, a crash to below $20k may be possible if we do drop from reaching $100k.

I normally like the idea of respecting a previous ath. I feel quite confident we could make it to $60k again where the ath was and we didn't seem overvalued by then and didn't have a dramatic crash.

I'm not investing all my life savings, and I want to be in it for the long run - so as I see it, I can buy in now, and if it drops down to 20K or something like that, it's just about keeping what I have and hopefully it will go up in the years to come.
ETH is promising some exiting changes soon, and what happens to the value is unknown, seems like miners wont be so happy with the changes they are looking into.

I feel like I don't want to miss out on this opportunity, and I'm not gonna cry about it if I loose in this, as long as the amount I invest is not everything I have.  I'm super excited about it, and also what we see in crypto art and music picking up speed.

If I were you, I would not rely on following or listening to influencers. Although they can give you some ideas, but it’s much better if you invest on your own instinct.

There is also no good or bad timing about investing into cryptocurrencies, because they are unpredictable and has high volatility. They could pump or dump without warning at any moment.

No question that both BTC and ETH are long term investments. As long you know how to manage your risks and invest what you can afford to lose and hold it for long term, then you’re good with it. After all, only you can decide because it’s your coins.

crypto market still in uptrend, but you need to becareful mate, because good or not its depends on your strategy

there is no good or bad timing to invest in crypto. it really does depend on your strategic moves. as long as you are practicing the simple rule of trading - buy low, sell high, which translates to selling your assets higher than what you bought, then youre good to go. but we cant say that you need to buy this time or hold for a bit. because no one can exactly tell you what will happen to the market. for long term investment, you are not worried the hourly change of the market but you are looking for the possible future of the coin. so for example, if you want to invest in bitcoin or any other alt, ask yourself, is this coin has future? will this be in the market few years from now. because if you are in panic mode every time there is a dip in the market, you will lose your mind. and i guess, holding is not for you.

A long term investment and for a newcomer to this market Bitcoin is always what we start with, and I think investing in it for a long one will always be the right thing to do. For me, i think this is the BEST time to buy and invest in crypto, because as for today, the price of crypto are all falling down, it's a big short correction, so yeah, if you really need an advice this is a good or bad timing, this is the best timing to buy crypto in a such cheap price.
so you can earn as much profit as possible in the near future when the price already going up to the sky again. still it's all depend on your timing and luck, don't be panic when the price is still going down, it's a normal thing in the cryptospace.

It is not that simple. Many people are scared that the price is way too high and that is why they should not be investing into anything at all, they are scared and I understand that. I am not saying it is bad time to invest, I am still putting money into crypto all the time, I have lost a lot of money on days that were purely green, I really do not mind whatever the result will be I will keep on investing because I like crypto.

However that doesn't mean that we should only see the world from our perspective, there are tons of people who are scared of this situation and not investing. Long term investment needs patience and patience need trust, because if you dont trust the coin that you wanted to invest i am sure that you cannot hold it for a long term. The best coin to invest are bitcoin and ethereum this two coins are trusted and useful so there is a great posibility that this coin will soon rise, but as what you have said we are in a bullrun season and investing in bull run comes with a big risk because you need a big money to buy a few amount of bitcoin and eth so i think you need to wait the dip for good.

Yes in this current market condition, trading is having a highest risk because the price is so volatile and could go up and down till 10% in just a day. People are moving from alts to alts and if we are not fast enough to swith our trade we would lost. So i think buying for long term investing is really good for now but trading is too risky

I am now getting more cautious as btc has dropped below 30k. For me 30k was still the resistance and for long it was able to sustain above it but now breaking 30k and dropping does not show me a comfort sign now. if you say the top 5 coins I think are very true, but if you want to be precise again and will not experience losses at any time, obviously you are right that bitcoin and ethereum are very good coins to be used as long-term investments. You don't need to be afraid to buy it at any time because it will certainly reach a renewable price again and will certainly exceed the price when you bought it.

I'm new in the Crypto World, but I am absolutely obsessed with it.

I want to start investing in BTC/ETH, maybe also some others like THETA, Audius and more.

I am following different youtubers, twitter accounts, discord channels, to learn as much I can about crypto as I can.

BUT, is not the correct time to invest? As long as I understand, we are in a bull-run right now, and many do believe that BTC and also ETH will grow. Some belive BTC will hit 100K and some also think ETH will be up to 10% of BTC total value by end of the year.
- And addition to this, we might see a drop and go in a bear-market, but this seems not to be the case.

I'm also looking into start long trading on buybit, I want to start small and get the hang of it and learn the system and how it works.

SO, back to the actual question: is NOW a good or bad time to begin investing? Or should I wait for a heavy drop in the market, which might not come?
- I am looking for a LONG term investment.

i'm in the same situation as you, OP, but i know cryptos for a long time, i wanted to buy in june 2017 considering the fact that i was lurking the market for a fair amount of time on a french forum, but at that period i was too young to own a credit card and my mother said "no, bitcoin is bullshit"

If you want to do investing don't look into one or two coins only, there are a lot of altcoins that is worth investing today. It's understandable, if someone is a newbie, he doesn't seem to be fond of analysis. Not all are good in analysis and that's why they're asking. But with the simple logic about buying at the top, it's not really a good time to buy or when you're asking about it because it seems that you're not yet ready for it and it may come by a surprise upon investing and then the market dips and you're at the wrong timing doing it.

I am following different youtubers, twitter accounts, discord channels, to learn as much I can about crypto as I can.

BUT, is not the correct time to invest? As long as I understand, we are in a bull-run right now, and many do believe that BTC and also ETH will grow. Some belive BTC will hit 100K and some also think ETH will be up to 10% of BTC total value by end of the year.
- And addition to this, we might see a drop and go in a bear-market, but this seems not to be the case.

I'm also looking into start long trading on buybit, I want to start small and get the hang of it and learn the system and how it works.

SO, back to the actual question: is NOW a good or bad time to begin investing? Or should I wait for a heavy drop in the market, which might not come?
- I am looking for a LONG term investment.

For long term investment, always choose the best option, BTC and ETH can be the best coins to hold. It will continue to trend upwards, but if your expectation is to catch a whale, I don't think this coin will offer you that. For long term investment, my opinion would be BNB, SOL, LTC and ETH.
