I have been seeing different memes on X how South Africa keeper was trying hard to catch the last goal from Mexico player which was very funny and it looks like some African countries never supported South Africa as their neighboring country and rather bet on Mexico to win the match. He is a player who made a very long dual competition with Messi so surely he is different than other players in Portuguese national team. He is at a higher level than his teammates if we see things in their career achievements and their performances generally but in particular matches and tournaments like in this World Cup 2026, it's hard to say Cristiano Ronaldo will be able to perform better than his teammates.

You also have to look at what their squad was like back then, we can't just look at everything from one side, but also from different sides. Does Portugal have a very solid squad?
