Another grand finals curse for Geek Fam. I was really impressed with their run but it seems that they've fallen short to this ESL One Birmingham journey.

I guess the lower bracket momentum is no joke from the side of Talon and winning it all starting from the lower bracket is indeed impressive. The odds even favored Geek Fam, and I saw their odds hovering around 1.30 before the match started. I was close to including them in my parlay, but i'm lucky that I missed it due to the late markets.

They're impressive and have been consistent. I thought if there's one consistent team, that's Geek Fam but Talon shown that they're more consistent in terms of everything.

You know what, I've been thinking alot about this lately. It seems that some regions are not as competitive as the other regions. NA and MENA for example only has like 1-2 top contenders teams that always make it to top while all the other teams are scrapping the bottom. Valve Should have just combined those type of regions though to make the qualifiers game like this even more interesting.

Might just combine NA and SA all together as well as MENA probably with other asia region

And as for the Chinese region, it's going to be G2.IG.

I've seen that format used in one of the LoL qualifiers for Worlds, where they merged two regions(Oceania/SEA), and it ended with the slightly better region filling the two slots.

That'll depend on the ESL organizers now that Valve already stepped back from handling most of the tournaments.

I think that it's cheaper to operate there than any other regions so these orgs choose to be there and try some of these rosters if they'll work out.

As for SA, their representative is Heroic. What a fresh start for a new org on this game although technically they're not new to esports.

C9 got a good foothold of the first few rounds but Rebels really know how to pick up the pace. I expected Ax1le to perform somewhat better against unknown teams, but lo and behold he's just always getting caught at the wrong place with no trades available. Meanwhile on the other team, olimp was always quick to peek and entry frag for the team, making it look like he knows where everyone is. I honesyly love his confidence and I think that kind of threw C9 off in the latter rounds. Gigachad olimp ftw.

I also caught a glimpse of that upset from Rebels Gaming they were like 6.00-7.00 decimal odds pre-live. C9 are lucky they get to face BB who's even worse as they only got 1 round against Eternal Fire.

The lower bracket is so stacked with FURIA, Astralis, Cloud9, and BIG still fighting for their qualification spot.

Also , Jabz is the brain behind their strategies and calls during the game but the most important one , he is the drafter for Aurora and 23Savage needs someone who can trust with his crazy game-play style.

Since the tournament is in Dubai then I guess getting someone from the MENA region would be the fastest solution for them so probably pos 3 from NGX or PSG.Quest but honestly this really wont matter that much though as this is not really an 'official' tournament for EPT Points. All they will lose from this tournament is just the potential prize money

They will also play on the opening game so yeah thats literally less than 48 hours for them to get someone and scrim with that player

I saw that post of theirs but eventually they're going to see him there as the post said once the visa is done. I think that 1-2 days of delay will be fine but if it goes more than that then they'll ask someone from MENA region to play for them.

If the problem is really there and he won't be able to play, the sub might be players that they approach like mind control. He's from MENA but if not allowed by his team.

There are a lot of players there for sure that they'll ask to play if they have a coach on this BB dacha, he'd play for it but I see no information on who it is.

I can't believe Heroic are actually playing decent CS2 after they barely won a game in the last month... . Now , they are about to win 1st map against G2 and push this series towards 3 maps.

Also , funny how Falcons are doing great in Dota2 but they are awful in CS2 right ? I mean they do have a stacked roster but almost all of them are way past their prime.
