No big surprises with this title for Vitality, they really performed great once again. We thought they were in decline, that they had already peaked, but they came back and showed that they can still do well. I hope they can maintain this rhythm this year; it's great to watch them play and betting on them is almost a sure thing.

Looks like FaZe were the first victims of the top tier teams who got majorly upset by Eyeballers in yesterday's winter qualifier of this Blast Bounty.
They won the first map dominantly 13-6 but then got owned by the inferior squad who consist of an old name I haven't heard of in such a long time, JW.
The last major winners lost to the really unknown squad EYE 13-4 and 13-7 in an utter embarrassing performance for their very first game of the year and making their start an abysmal one.
I am super upset about them losing since I placed the biggest bet ever done before for a CS2 match after the first map was done. So the odds for FaZe Clan to win the rest of the game going into the second map was 1.02x.
So not a great start to my CounterStrike bets either.

I always find it difficult to predict the start of championships/years in all sports. Teams always manage to surprise negatively. Especially those who should be doing well; it's almost guaranteed they'll do something wrong to start badly.

Yeah, let's wait for the open qualifiers to be done for most regions for the ESL Birmingham although the main tournament happens on March by this year. Another great action for that month while we're waiting for the others to happen. Some reports that Team Spirit's coach, Silent is already out of the team. While I've some post of korb3n(TS's manager) that he's going to be back soon.

Player of the year for 2025 is Zywoo. I was just about to say that it had to be somebody on the Team Vitality roster before checking if the announcement was made today.
And low and behold it was shown as a final set of winners just an about an hour ago.

One detail I noticed is that ZywOo has been among the top 3 best players of the year since 2019. Now that's consistency over 6 years. It's fair that he's where he is now. And looking at the awards and statistics, he maintains a very high level. He's truly unparalleled.

Yes , he is the definition of consistency and like you said , this is no coincidence that he is where he is right now ...at the very top of CS2. However , personally I think Donk was the best by a mile in 2025 on all categories ( with a very weak team behind team - Spirit compared to Vitality team of Zywoo ). Why do I think this ? well , I've watched almost all tournaments from 2025 and I never ever saw someone being at Donk level to carry his team every round.

Man, Donk is the best in the world, not because of his skill, but because he carries this Spirit team at all times. He saves rounds, saves match points, he does everything. If he had an award for best team carry, he would win it. He's sitting on a ticking time bomb. When he gets tired and gets good offers, things will change.

I dont normally bet on cs2 because I barely watch them recently but since Duelbits made a great offer on Team Liquid, I just cant seems to ignore it. They give 100% winning if you bet on Team Liquid up to $100 so yeah the odds was practically 3x. Its too good to ignore and its great that Liquid ended up winning it, it seems pretty close based on the score in liquipedia though

Edit : actually no, odds is still 2x and the extra winning is paid as free bets. Still decent I guess

Big gg on that series as it was a crazy one. I had NIP to win and I was certain that I will win it but somehow Liquid hold it together and they were able to win Ancient ...a map that came all the way from 1 flash round on mid to 4-6 flahes on mid as who wins this mid encounter , basically wins the round. 

Today , I'm already watching Ence vs Pari and I must say Pari is one of my favorites team right now in Cs2.

It ended with a 2-0 for Pari, but that second map lasted for way too long that they might've played a third map at that point. I also didn't know they picked up zweih before this series, and it's good to see that he's popping off after people criticized him on Spirit.

I was able to tune in to the Spirit series earlier as SINNERS tried to keep it interesting on Mirage. Despite Spirit's slow start to the series, it still wasn't enough to force a third map.

The game started much better for FURIA, they managed to open up a 6-0 lead against Anubis. And Molodoy's 1v2 clutch was very good. The team is doing well, acting as expected. They are showing that their place in the top 20 was truly well-deserved. Let's see how they perform in the rest of the championship, but I hope they win.

Well actually NIP was slightly the favourites based on odds and the reason I bet on this was because I saw the promotion, otherwise I wouldnt even touch cs2 lol.

Anyway whats with the bounty blast ? I dont think I've seen this before and its actually quite an interesting concept because you get higher prize money based on the team that you win against. Dota2 should really copy this concept, I think this would be a nice twist and addition to swiss stage concept

Bounty tournament in Dota 2 ? That would be amazing to watch! We have so many great rivalries between teams in Dota 2 that a bounty between team is all we need to be mega entertained during games. This also involves less shuffles between teams as Dota 2 is well known for players jumping from a strong team to another but in CS2 we won't see Zywoo from Vitality to Falcons to Spirit and so on.

This feels like poker lol, you get a knockout based bounty

Well instead of teams, they should have bounty on players instead. This could be a pretty fun format somewhat. Imagine getting extra like $500 or something each time you kill their pos 1 and 2 on top of the regular prizes you get from winning

The latest twist they add on dota2 tournament was probably the fans extra money or something, cant really recall. I probably will update this once I find it later

I'm also excited to see how LR would perform in the LEC

I was anticipating their match against FNC for a while now as a fan. LR actually did pretty well for like the first 15 minutes of the game, but then they got caught in an outnumbered fight near the baron, and from there it's just all Fnatic in complete control. Overall, I think they didn't do too bad despite the loss, especially since they have two rookies playing for the first time in the LEC. Hopefully they can become more competitive in their next games.
