Seems that I might catch some events this night in both Basketball 3vs3 and some Field Hockey and at this moment, I'm great for every event at night especially after NHL and NBA are in break. Regarding predictions , is hard to predict Olympics but most of the times the favorites are walking away with the gold medal. Also , please remember that Olympics means for an athlete a 4 year preparation for a few minutes of glory as you don't get 2nd chances until 4 more years.

Not a four years preparation. To get qualified is a big task. The player needs to fulfill certain timings and the same will be done by many athletes from the same country. Here one need to compete and reach the Olympics party, which isn't a four years hard work. Most of them start by the age of 10, some reach out of their ability in a short time. Particularly from a highly populated country getting an opportunity is really a big thing.

Yeah, I think there's some European and Asian events before the Olympics and this is good for Olympic bound athletes. Some of them are somewhat "discovered" in this kind of events. If I'm not mistaken, Bolt started this way, joining European indoor and outdoor and then eventually developed to be the fastest man in our era.

While the Olympics are on, I try to watch as much as possible of the sports that you hardly ever see on TV, like shooting with pistols, rifles or bows.  .For the athletes of these kind of sports the olympic games are the absolute highlight of their careers and probably the only chance for them to be on television so a good result at the Olympics could really change their life. For the big and popular sports, such as football, basketball or golf, the Olympic Games are not so important and usually the best athletes do not compete there, or, as in football, an Under 21 team.

Yang Qian won the women's 10m air rifle event, with an Olympic record (251. and Russian shooter Anastasiia Galashina finished at the 2nd place with 251.1 (Russia is not allowed in the Olympics, so the athletes are competing under the banner of ROC). Bronze medal was won by Nina Christen of Switzerland (230.6). Galashina was leading until the last round, but an exceptional performance by the Chinese shooter helped her to overtake the Russian. 

For today (24th July), the only remaining medal event is 10m Air Pistol Men's Final.

I don't remember Indian athletes winning many medals in the Olympics... They won 6 medals in London, 3 in Beijing, but 1 gold medal out of them! I do not know how India will do in these games, maybe they will get lucky and win many medals...

As far as i know india has 22 athletes who are ready to bet on the Olympics in tokyo 2021, shooters, swimming, boats and many others, i see india has a good chance to win medals like gold, bronze, silver etc., in the Olympics tournament this time, no praise, just a fragment that I saw during the tournament.

That happens to be my weight too, and I can lift someone twice my weight with some difficulty but 100kg is a real challenge if I don't use fireman's lift. Crazy pharmacology eh?

But that girl has taken the Asian Championships last April, so not surprised that she will bring the gold in the this years' Olympics. And if I'm not mistaken the record which she held is 213 kilograms.

Interesting to note that the silver medal goes to Mirabai Chanu of India, their first weight lifting medal in 21 years.

With a total of 40 gold medals in judoka at the Olympics, Japan is the most successful nation.

Yes, host Japan is in second place with one gold and two bronze medals and countries that also won gold are South Korea, Ecuador, Iran, Kosovo, and China in first place by getting 2 gold and 1 bronze.

I am excited about the Olympic Games and in particular this one in 2020 because with so much sacrifice it is being carried out. I will try to share the medals that my Latin American region wins. In Judoka yes, Japan leads the tally since then, there's no doubt on this.

In the first day of  this Olympic, China takes the lead already and this is expected just like on Rio Olympics. I'm still looking for a USA athletes to take their first medal in Tokyo Olympics. I hope more countries will won medal this time and not just the top countries, I'm hoping for a medal to the Philippines as well.

I was rooting for the Brazilian Gabriela Chibana to be able to stand out, but when I saw that she got exactly the number one in the world, it was clear to me that this would be an impossible feat or magnificent to see, unfortunately, it didn't work out for the Brazilian.

But we have some highlights from "non-favorite" countries, at least in bronze:

• Munkhbat Urantsetseg of Mongolia;
• Daria Bilodid from Ukraine;
• Yeldos Smetov from Kazakhstan.

I'm sorry if I'm missing someone, but apart from these I haven't found any other medals for "non-favorite" countries in judo, although it's too early for that.

I might make a bold prediction now but I might lock in David Popovici to win the Gold Medal at Swimming as this kid is the next superstar in my country Romania and to be honest, my country has lacked such a talent since we had a young Simona Halep in tennis. This kid broke down the record at 50m at European and I've already read that some countries know that he might be the winner in the end so watch closely on this young talent.
