I think most of the people won't agree to this because people here are more concern about their KYC and not revealing their identity.
Who said for a face to face interview? A podcast of them being interviewed would be more than enough. No need to reveal their face; it'd ruin the mystery that is provided with pseudonimity.

I've never made any effort to hide my identity.  My name is right in my userID.

... List of people I'd pay to watch/listen their interview (listed in descending order):
  • ...
  • DannyHamilton
  • ...

I'd happily participate in a podcast discussion (or YouTube). You may be disappointed though. You'll find that I'm not nearly as confident, eloquent, or accurate in conversation.  I typically review, edit, re-type, and fact-check a LOT of what I type here before it gets posted.  Without the opportunity to do that, you won't get the same quality of content from me.

There are still some decentralised YouTube alternatives but still they don't have much hype because YouTube caters to the most of the video content on internet as billion of users have registered
I haven't seen any of those Youtube competitors, and I don't know if they're on par with Youtube, but I suspect that the reason they haven't caught on is because content creators can't make money on them.  It's the same reason cryptotalk.org never caught on (or at least one of the reasons), and why a lot of forums dedicated to specific, popular altcoins don't generate tons of traffic, i.e., bitcointalk is a place where you can make money by posting.

If those competitors do find a way to get the content creators' videos monetized, no doubt they'd become much more popular....but then they'd end up under the thumb of the advertisers, just like Youtube is.

The "Soon™" scares me a little, but there is hope Smiley.
Was that Soon trademarked after becoming a response to "When is the new bitcointalk forum software coming out"?  If that's the case, I'd be scared as well.

I've never made any effort to hide my identity.  My name is right in my userID.
Your name is... Danny Hamilton? I thought you used it as a pseudonym, possibly from one of your favorite musicians...

You may be disappointed though.
Users who supported bitcoin from the very beginning (you're here since 2011, right?) and remain active 'til today belong definitely in my watchlist.

Yep.

It does offer me a very small amount of anonymity since, as you've pointed out with your link, both Danny and Hamilton are very common names. However, I've never made any effort to hide who I am.

You may be disappointed though.

2012. I discovered this forum in February 2012, and read through many posts before finally registering as a user in June 2012 to ask a question.

Hopefully we dont have to wait for to long , as i am also exited about to can see the first Video and content in it !
I know that sometimes things taking some time and thats possible when you think its finished for a release that you want some changes for it.
Happens a few times for my Music productions on the Music and also for the Videos .
So i can fully understand that Cyrus wants it nearly perfect and a good one .
I can wait for and when we get it , its then more excited to watch i guess.

Sweet, I'd happily tune into this. I'm not bothered by your real life identity or how confident you may come across. The fact is; I'd be confident that if Cyrus or part of the team were to brief you on the sort of things discussed you'd put the time, and effort into researching it, and probably good research that's a little more in depth than the average persons, just because I've enjoyed your written work on the forum over the years.

Of course, you don't have the luxury of researching on the spot or being able to edit what you've said, however I think it could still be interesting. You have decent technical knowledge of Bitcoin from what I've read. For example, if it was to be centered on Bitcoin, and its technicalities instead of a interview about you or as a lot of users here have indicated, it's nice to get some insight into the people behind the accounts, and it sounds like you might be a little interested in that, that way you wouldn't need to research, and for a lack of better wording; come across unprepared because you don't know the answer to X, Y or Z.

I guess that what you're describing, albeit not fully, matches a somewhat fear that some people have when they first go into their first podcast experience. I hear podcasts somewhat in a weekly manner, and whenever a new guest is invited that isn't used to take part in such format, they always said that they are nervous / not sure how the conversation will end but if the interviewer is someone who can create a good environment and establish a good flux of conversation, you'll just forget where you are and just be yourself.

Regarding your way of being in a conversation (confident, eloquent or even accurate like you said) I really think that people who want to hear you will tune in just to know the person who is behind the username and they won't change their opinion about you (or whoever is being interviewed) just because he/she is a bit more shy/not as constructive as he is on the forum. Trust me when I tell you that being interviewed in life is never easy, for any of us. It's far more harder to find someone worthy of being interviewed than someone who's far too much confident about himself and who end up not adding much to the discussion at the end of the day.
TL;DR -> You'll be fine mate, and I would love to get to know you a bit better.

On-Topic --> I'm really excited about whatever is being produced in the background... I wonder if Cyrus could just let us know how many hours have already being poured into the project so far ...

I have a buddy who runs a podcast and is always looking for crypto guests to participate.  If you want to sharpen your skills let me know.  I think there's plenty of room for content coming out of this forum.  While a YouTube podcast would be awesome and I'm looking forward to it.  A more regular audio only podcast would probably leave room to discover a lot about our fellow members here.  I'm a firm believer that 95% of the people who hate and troll me on here would probably think I'm a pretty awesome person and want to be my friend in real life if they met me and saw my dedication to Bitcoin.  Perhaps more opportunities to showcase personalities and share information about our efforts on behalf of the community might help bring us together.

Actually LBRY is now more commonly known as Odysee and users can register the account there. But yes as you said they are not much popular but you can earn through this platform also which is their native token lbry in form of credits and 8 lbry = $1.Users and content creators could make money and then exchange the credits they have earned by withdrawing them on exchange and then withdrawal in bank. But there are some restrictions like verification through card details and you could not earn more than once daily as the rewards are too low also. Some people claim it to be scam also as i have not been part of it.

LBRY rewards

FAQ

According to latest charts the current trading price of native tokens is $0.03722 which is the case most of them don't prefer to use it.

Speaking of the second platform Dtube another blcokchain based video sharing platform also allows you to earn the native tokens which is DTC and other features are no advertisement and voting system is present and whichever videos get most of them is in trending. You can read more here.

But still YouTube remains far ahead from them as it's having huge user base and most common friendly way to earn because you don't need to undergo pile of verification and have your funds on exchange. But still YouTube has its own bad things like non-reliable content sharing and it's becoming hard to find legit one's there.

Hope the Bitcointalk channel will vanish the wrong myths of audience.Waiting for soon release of the channel.

I may not have something to share yet on what content that you like to see in the youtube channel but is it okay if there is a shoutout for forum users in the end of the video. I don't think it is a good content but is it okay if there is a rap music about bitcointalk forum and the bitcointalk talkshow much like the same as this video https://youtu.be/JZYZoQQ6LJQ but the rap or song is about bitcointalk forum and why bitcointalk forum is different from the other forums out there.

Which ones? It might seem unfair to mention one or two when we have so many good contributors. Maybe just a shoutout to all forum members.

Seems sleazy to me. Who is going to record the song, mix the music, and make it sound right? Not to mention the cost for such a project. Not everyone likes rap and if the song sucks, it might be a reason for the viewers to stop watching the video.

You prolly have good intentions with your ideas, but do you think a "rap or song" is the best way to disseminate this information? I don't actually think so, there are many significant ways to put it out there that Bitcointalk is a unique forum with a large repertoire of knowledge, but a "rap or song" could sound or make it seem somewhat 'unserious' in this very context and people may actually not like it if you ask me.

I am not familiar with how YouTube works for content creators, but doesn't a channel need a certain number of subscribers, views, and comments before it can earn commissions from YouTube or from the ads? I seriously doubt anyone creating and uploading their videos earns serious revenue unless certain conditions are met. "Influencer-like" conditions.

Of course there are certain criterias and protocols to be met in terms of subscribers, watch time, etc, before contents can be used to generate/make profits, having said that, I don't really know if Bitcointalk youtube channel would want to monetize it's content, but if it does, then @MNbag there is actually no need worrying about where the revenue accrued will be channeled to, cause i don't think there'll be any set-in-stone way of using the funds, it could be used to improve contents, as incentives, and generally as times goes on so will more ideas come up, and it can then be used to make some of such ideas possible.

Making rap songs is tough task as most of the complex work will be included like composition, editing, auto tunes and you need lyricist for the same and what will you do in whole channel life? Like you could make one song as a introduction if we go ahead on this one but carrying it out each time is not possible as creating content for channel is being hard for @Cyrus and this will incur extra burden and no fun out there. There are so many bitcoin rap songs and parody but the audience is less to watch.

Talking of shout out to some members it can be said that a topic could be chosen about bitcoin and the detailed overview of high rank members could be given on that with each episode featuring some part and how does forum helped them or we can say like if the topic is security of bitcoin then the posts of some reputed memeber could be displayed over it so that people have the idea and their forum name will be visible so no problem to them also. But if we say giving shoutout to some members that doesn't excite me a lot as this is for guidance purpose not to promote any individual member but whole Bitcoin tak forum.

There are certain conditions before any YouTube channel start earning based on different of factors and they all varies accordingly. You could see some top youtubers like Ryan Kazi making $20 million a year by publishing kids entertainment videos and some making knowledgeable videos and earning very less. There are also YouTube short funds aim to help content creators with certain conditions like restricted to some areas now and more than 10k subscribes. The earning are based on Advertisement revenue and how much views that ad got or say views on your video and it's usually on per thousand. This is estimated rate for earning on YouTube:

The forum channel videos will if have any sort of partnership program or advertisement displayed then it will earn from it and how the funds will be used is dependent on @Cyrus basically but most probably they will be spent on making more good content for the channel and its promotion.Hope it all goes well.

Waiting for the teaser to be released soon  Cheesy

You're almost right [apart for the comments and partially for the views], but they could also offer something along the lines of auctioned ad spots on this forum and offer overlay ad spots for certain parts of the video [AFAIK, there's no issue with offering such ads, as long as they're labeled properly].

Well to be fair this is partially true... views alone can't guarantee similar earing. It's your viewer location that matters a lot. If channel's viewership is from USA/Europe region then these estimates are correct. However if viewers location is from countries like India then even the 100million views don't generate 1000$ (that's my personal experience).

Any way for Bitcointalk Youtube channel first target should be is creating a quality content... someone said "Grow first earn later". If Bitcointalk channel is able to create quality content growing and earning will come gradually and we know first step is always the hardest...

Wishing good luck to Cyrus and all those working on it.

Yes i know there is difference in earning based on geographical location of the views of your videos like the CPM rates are different for countries and they determine how much you can earn from this. This is list for the countries with highest CPM rates.

Highest CPM rates in countries

You can see here for further details how the revenue is calculated on your video's as there are lot of determining factors for the same and i forget to mention it my previous post.

Earning for YouTube videos

Yes the channel can decide later on what they will do for the revenue generated as it's time for it as you will need subscribers and views which will give your advertisement to displayed on video. But at first make quality content and try to gain momentum and slowly everything will come to your hands.
