First question is, now when i got my new miner mining my NewPac go slow up and down from 100 too 187MHz i have a Orico 10 ports usb. and things like this comes up on the NewPac [2021-11-08 17:55:28.763] 1: GSH 0 - asic plateau: (3/3) 212.50MHz [2021-11-08 17:55:28.763] 1: GSH 0 - plateau adjust: target frequency 275.00MHz -> 206.25MHz
what can this be?
So next question i wonder if you guys have any smart idea how to get a Noctua Fan A-series NF-A12x25 to go faster? I have it connected with a usb to the Orico usb hub that i have my miners connected to but when connected to a usb it cant go so fast RPM. I still want to have the Noctua because its super quiet.
Any idea how to boost the RPM?

Yepp the miners it must be the problem that orico is not good enugh anymore. But power a fan with USB is always slow. But i found something interesting on Amazon Icstation Boost Converter MT3608 Mico USB DC 2V-24V to 5V-28V 2A , Voltage Regulator,Power Supply Step Up Module 3.3V 5V 6V 9V 12V to 5V 6V 9V 12V 24V this should work. found it on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6xlSUBCkhA

IIRC if you are 1A at 12V that would mean you are pulling 2-2.5A from the 5v side.

Then when it starts running the T value and frequency are both 200. In the dir 'cgminer', when I type 'ls', no cgminer.conf file is listed but when I type '/root/.cgminer/cminer.conf' it returns "access denied."
Type the following 2 commands: rm -vf ~/.cgminer/cgminer.conf sudo rm -vf /root/.cgminer/cgminer.conf Your suggestion caused cgminer not to recognise any of the "--gekko-xx y" commands anymore... But after reinstalling and rebooting the RPi I ran the code again and.. it works! The old "on-and-off" trick seems to have done it. Now comfortably running at 400MHz and around 265 Gh/s. Thanks for the suggestions!

There should have been no cgminer.conf file unless you pressed d and s to save it. My commands where to get rid of the ones that where controlling cgminer for you, that you must have saved with the initial default values and thus why it was forcing cgminer to run at 200MHz Somehow your command line was ignoring your settings and using the config file in /root/ and when the conf file with the wrong setting was deleted, since it was ignoring your command line, it then had no settings, so failed to run. Cleaning up the cgminer directory probably got rid of whatever was causing that also, but the config file also needed to be deleted

Kano would have to tell you for sure, but I believe it's an artifact of some testing we did on a part of the protocol we weren't 100% sure about. It's nothing you need to worry on.

What does this mean? 0: GSF 0 - ticket value confirmed 0xf0/16 after 5000 nonces
This is the code showing the testing of the ticket mask value set. It's normally only 3 or 4 messages over the entire run, on a normal bitcoin pool so I left it in. The ticket mask is the difficulty of work the chip returns over USB to cgminer. A ticket mask of zero means return all 1 diff nonces. A ticket mask of 0xf0 means return all 16 diff nonces. It's using a CDF[Erlang] calculation to determine when enough nonces returned correctly, means the ticket mask is working correctly. As per the code: // ticket values, diff descending. Thank you. Do you have a schematic for the USB hub? I have one that will not power up ports 4 & 5. It has 5v until I plug something into the port then it sinks to 1v. Was working on water cooling some 2pac's and I had a leak...oops.

I have 3 water cooled CompacF's running at 515mhz that are throwing HW errors. I just added #4 within the last hour. I have 4 water cooled Newpac's running at 500mhz that are throwing errors but not as many. Thanks

Well those numbers say it's 3809 / (4976178 + 9628) = 0.076% so ... that's fine. Also the compacf reports it correctly. All old cgminer drivers that have a ticket mask reported each error as only 1, The compacf driver reports each error at the ticket/diff value as it should. So if you think 0.076% is high, compared to say an S17, divide it by 16 again = 0.0048% You'll probably find that all miners on the market report each hardware error as '1' instead of the ticket/diff value and that's assuming they report all of them ... P.S. it sux that you can't use asicboost on that pool ... since turning it off is wasting 10% or more of your hash rate.
