1. Actually it's always the good time to build your portfolio. But to say currently, I would definitely say that it's a yes after the market plunged.

Bitcoin is a highly volatile cryptocurrency but I don't expect that much. But if bitcoin was made in a double amount in dollar value compared to last year, it will have the potential to double again the price in the future. In my opinion, it actually depends on the coin you want to make up your portfolio, for example, I believe in the Bitcoin network and it's a long term project as well, thus it's always a good time to buy Bitcoin, as for the bear market, quite a lot of things have changed about the network since then, so things may not pan out exactly the same way as it did in the past.

I don't think we will be seeing similar levels because the crypto market is maturing every year and bitcoin has proven again and again that it recovers from every dip. This has created a trust among bitcoin holders and more people are just HODLing to their bitcoins which further creates a lesser dip.

^ I don't know if this is a good suggestion, the problem is when until you will wait that there is a bear market? Do you mean you need to wait until the BTC price drop to $20k or lower than that is the sign that the market is bear? I probably disagree about your opinion and that is not good because there is no exact time when BTC hit that amount. For me, anytime you can build your own crypto and wait for it until your profit was there because I believe that the market price will increase and increase after years passed and probably there is no chance the price of BTC will back again in $20k. We have a lot of investors and it was known across the whole world, I don't think there is a massive drop beyond this price right now.

It's not the best time historically to buy into crypto but a good strategy is to buy a small amount each month and buy in gradually. If you see a large dip, buy in then too. You can't real time the market, you need time in the market.

There will always be a bear market sooner or later. The best way to avoid losing money in a bear market is to stake cryptos like Ethereum, Celo, and NEAR or to farm somewhere like Ref Finance or Pancakeswap. I'm getting great returns on Ref Finance right now because not many people know about it yet.

1. For most investors it's really important because usually a good crypto investors are splitting their investment into several coins and they have to build a portofolio to control their total assets so it will make they manage their investment easier

There is a dump and pump that happens in the market and it never has the chance to stop this. Nor, I was to think that history repeats itself as the market has been hugely changing its momentum from time to time. In fact, we can obviously see it by now. Perhaps, it wasn't a big deal for me if ever the market will dump too bad like 2018, I'm afraid that people will get crazy and rushing the market to buy more. 1. This year is still a good time to build a crypto portfolio. Although the many coins price is already hit the new ATH, you can buy many coins.
2. The bear market is hard to be the same as in 2018 because many investors already joined the crypto market and do not want to see their investment drops too deep.

Maybe the price can drop but not dropping so deep as the previous years. If the price is dropping too far, maybe that is just a pump and dump that always happens, but the price will be back to the current price.

If you want to invest in crypto, you need to make sure you analyze each coin so you do not buy the wrong coin.

I also think that we don't see a bear market like the one from 2018 and 2019 again with very low prices of almost every coin and a total market cap of below 200 Billion $, because that would mean that we would see a dump to only 1/10th of the current marketcap and i can not imagine any reason or event, that could trigger a dump like that. I do think though that it is possible that we go close to or even below 1 Trillion $ of total market cap again, but this would still mean that we would be above the highest market cap of the last bullrun of 2018. We also have to consider though that we now have many more crypto projects out there than back in 2018 so the total market cap is spread between many thousands of projects.

When a currency such as bitcoin is falling / dipping then wait it out. Wait untill you see some real growth untill you invest. You might miss out on making a few quick %, but aswell you wont take the risk of dipping half your investment.

You are right about that. The bear market this time is not going to be as low as the one we experienced in 2018 and 2019. If you check so far this year the price hasn’t gone as low as it was last year, it has maintained the $40,000 value for a long time now. The lowest it has been this year is $30,000 after it reached the all time high price. So if you’re planning to invest your money now would be a good time to start doing that, and the price has gone back to around $40,000. Now we’ll be looking forward to another increase.

The community keeps on growing, but I can’t tell you now that there is going to be another bull run. I have seen a lot of people predicting there will be another bull run  this year but I think it will only happen once which is what we have experienced already.

The difference is very visible as you said if we look at the market capitalization this year is very much different and shows a sharp increase and is likely to happen like 2018 is impossible and difficult to happen again.

If you want to build, its a good time before another pumps come. Search project that able you to stake and earn more coins while u keep building your portfolio, it will adss more value to your portfolio from that earning.
My suggestion is do farming on Pancakeswap or Apeswap, search only project that you trust. When staking, u also have opportunity to compounds it for adds more earning percentage.

People do not see "discounted price" they see a dropped price and they get scared. Unfortunately there are way too many people who are afraid of investing into something that is a very rare situation and all because at the end of the day we are talking about something that is hard to do. Just keeping calm when everything went down 50% is not simple, you can't just keep calm, I mean maybe you and I can because I have seen this happen a thousand times so I am fine, but I do understand others who are newer to crypto world.

I don't think it's possible that we should see the same level of decline as in 2018, we need a record price decline that we haven't seen so far. Bitcoin is a very volatile cryptocurrency but I didn't expect much. First and foremost, to build a crypto portfolio might not really have a season or time, although bear market gives more better chances to start cheap. However, you can still take your time to lookout for those low cap coins with good use case and every other thing, keep them in your tabs and wait for a better time to buy; one thing that is certain is, don't chase after a moving coin however be patient with it and you will get a good entry. To add to this, most people might prefer to wait till bear market to buy, and when it comes they will keep waiting while thinking the market will dump more and at the end are left out.

I think it's a good time to buy crypto currencies at the moment because inflation is rising and I don't want to be stuck on fiat money without getting any return. The problem is that saving money at the bank doesn't work anymore. Inflation and Bank fees will slowly eat away all the value of our saving account. Same goes for bonds, the low interest rates doesn't make it attractive anymore to buy them.  The only option to escape inflation is to invest in stocks, funds or cryptos. Building a crypto portfolio is always a good time. Taking risk on investment should take place when you are properly equipped of a lot of knowledge in crypto currency. If you are confident enough in making new investment then that is the time you can build up your portfolio. The way the market went down in 2018 and 19 and the volatility in the market, I don't think the market will see that in 2023 or 24. Mr kevinzxz you have answered correctly, there is no better time to invest into bitcoin or other crypto than now. The best decision a newbie can take in his crypto journey is to get into accumulation as soon as possible, even if you'll not be able to purchase a full coin, with the help of DCA it will be possible. Just like the example you cited, in 2018 we experienced a drastic decrease in price but today, the current price is better and so will price also appreciate in the coming years also. For Bitcoin I am sure the price will continue to increase due to the idea of only 21million coins in supply. As adoption increases with limited supply, this will bring about scarcity and from the law of demand and supply, when there is scarcity with increase in demand or the demand remains constant, there will be an increase in price. I believe Bitcoin or the crypto system is not an exception to this theory, so let invest now and see our portfolio grow.

I agree with you, I think the best time to build a portfolio in various altcoins, including Bitcoin, has already begun. The crypto market was bullish at the beginning of this month but for quite some time the prices of various coins, including Bitcoin, have been trending lower in the market, especially after the approval of Bitcoin ETFs. Experiencing the heavy crash of crypto was outrageous, one couldn't believe with his eyes about the shocking results generated from the crash. I don't agree with you on that, cryptocurrencies are not comparable with gold when it comes to the safety of your funds because gold has been around for centuries and it has a physical existence which means that it can't lose its value just like how some cryptocurrencies do. I agree that the price of gold fluctuates as well over time, but it isn't as volatile and risky as cryptocurrencies.

Well, whatsoever answer you will get concerning this question is what that person feel or think will happen base on his/her analysis and that is like a guess or prediction because they are not 100 percent sure and again people who invested long ago will not pray for it to go as low as 2018 while people that haven't invest or did not invest, may be praying for it to go down so that they can invest. Bitcoin now is $63k Ethereum is $3k and Solana is $100+. With the above prices in the market I don't think this is the best time to invest in the cryptocurrency market though according to experts, Bitcoin price will reach $150k so if you like to invest now, then it is your choice but as for me if you can wait for the dip, or you apply the DCA method to buy. Cryptocurrency portfolio can be build at anytime and all-time.

Then the second question is. No bear market has reduced below the previous one although I didn't see the 2018 and 19 bear market and I believed that the 2022 bear market was not below the previous ones. And the 2022 which I also witness was $15k. So this coming one will not below that of 2022 bear market of $15k

Is this a good time to buy in? It definitely is. Now is absolutely a better time to get in than tomorrow.

You are very correct about this, although a lot of forks find it very difficult to understand that very logic , it is better to be on time in the market rather than timing the market conditions, and there are pretty best difference between Bitcoin and other coins especially viewing them of term approaching then, in Bitcoin if only you have long plans in mind it not necessary to time the market but rather you take advantage of every buying opportunities in oder to a good size of Bitcoin by not missing anything buying opportunities that shows it's self in the market.

The Dip is evaluated based on the mining utilities and by the halving with the determinat of the ATH.
So I bet it wouldn't be as that because as we escalates to withness new ATH, so also the Dip pumps up but the good news about it is that tmas the Dip goes higher, so also the bear and the bull would surge to maximize your invest proefficiently so the Dip of the different circles would never be the same as much the ATH has its breaking records.

You should be better satisfied, and not disappointed by buying bitcoins today because the market for satisfaction is very limited.
