in my opinion it doesn't matter if we hold altcoins in the long term but with a note that altcoins can really be done for long term holding by looking at the market capitalization and maybe the people behind and the coins that are really in demand.

You're right, not all coins will go up even if we've hold them for a few years. If they fail in development, the community will slowly leave the project thus making the tokens/coins that we store have no value. In fact, even if the project lives for a long time, it is not necessarily if we buy it at ATH at this time, in the next 5 years we save, we will get a profit. it is not true that hold will automatically get rich in the future. What matters is not how long we hold, but how well we research the project, adoption and community, maybe with these 3 things we can find coins that are worth holding on to.

yes, many people are generalizing altcoins without even doing research. because of its rising price, they felt that it was full of potential. they don't realize that quite a lot of altcoins have no community, no mass, no many users, but because the price is manipulated, people are hooked on it.

We can make good profit with our investment for a long time if we invest on a good coin. Not all coins are profitable in the long run. Some may become priceless after a year so we have to be careful on choosing which to hold for long. Now we can also earn from altcoins even if do not hold it so long.
