the reason is obvious, because they realize that being in shitcoins is just a waste of time.
For people who really dare to take risks, of course it is very doable. but for people who want to play safely and the risk is minimized, it's better not to play in things like shitcoin.

Indeed mate, that's why there is a memetrap for those who put their trust in shitcoins. But there are some who got lucky to gain profits from those coins and eventually maximize the investment of their main stablecoins or altcoins they've chosen.
But for those who didn't get lucky enough, well atleast they've learned from this mistakes but the money they've lost is too precious enough.
Personally, I took the road with less risk and bound to more profits than to test my luck with those memecoins/shitcoins.

this is the point. it doesn't matter how long you hold the coin, but if you hold on to a coin whose development and team are not clear, there is a very high chance that you will suffer heavy losses or become involved with scammers.
if it's coins like bitcoin, ethereum, BNB, XRP, and popular coins it's obvious the development and adoption rate is huge. You can be sure that the coin you hold will pump.
however, holding back and believing is not the key to it. the important key is to keep doing research, and also find out continuously about the coins you hold. it will make you wise in holding back, and making decisions in the future. not move based on the trend.

Statistically speaking, it will. As long as you have the right alts in your portfolio and a good team behind the project. As you can see, almost all of the legitimate alts pumps when bull market comes added by right advertisements and developments. Years of holding will surely pay you with big cash.

I agree, but with a note that the altcoin we buy is not when the price of the altcoin is at ATH because if we buy altcoins at ATH and even though we hold it long term it doesn't seem like it will get high profits especially if the ATH is the highest moment of the token then that's what we should avoid it because if we want to hold altcoins it is better to buy it when the price is cheap if for the long term.

The risk of holding a coin, if you failed to choose the right one, it will be stuck inside your wallet

If anyone hold altcoins under top 300 rank in crypto market for long term, then i agree that those will bounce back with btc even if dump hardly. Cause those altcoins has big marketcap and less possibility to scam. On the other hand, if anyone hold shitcoin, then this Process isn’t going to work cause those will be dead and turn into trust and most of those kind of altcoin never able to touch their ATH again. those will start disappear gradually

In my opinion, that will possible. Not all but there are some altcoins which could always bring profit for you for long hold. Sometime those might be dump unexpectedly but those will have always recover. Thats why those are most investmented top coins. The fact is, when people invest on some random project without knowledge so that those could be on moon & makes them rich overnight! We cannot tell if which altcoins is that, Maybe we have that one in our wallet but we dont if have a possibility to make some noise in crypto world. Most of the time we can see the top altcoins moving similar to bitcoin. When bitcoin is bullish, the price used to increase slowly reaching big. This at times increase immediately without taking much time.

Altcoins on the other hand have certain period for its growth mentioned as altcoin season. During this period we can experience growth with almost every altcoins.
