as some of these may be pre-fork titans - who gets the forks once the coin is redeemed?

Excellent question indeed! Waiting for the answer on this one from Titan.

Excellent question indeed! Waiting for the answer on this one from Titan.

I ask as in redeeming a 2fa it simply asks you for a btc address which you want the btc sent to - nothing about the forks, which right now is 576 USD for just the BCH if the coin is denominated as 1 BTC - so not much in the overall big picture percentage wise and all but still it is significant USD wise.

We've unfortunately had a cascade of issues that have arisen in the process of fixing the website. This isn't uncommon with older sites, and it may be that we need to rebuild the front end from scratch to get the full functionality restored.  I'm looking into all options on getting the website fully functioning as intended as soon as possible.

While the developers are working on the website, I'm working in tandem to organize the info needed to manually redeem all 2FA coins Titan has ever produced.  Once I have a process of notifying owners and collecting current ownership verification, my intention is to deploy that process whether the website is fully functional or not.  I'll update here as I'm getting close to starting that process.

It will take quite a bit of my time, which is obviously my limiting resource in addressing these concerns for everyone, so I'll do my best to prioritize redemptions in order of when a coin owner reached out to us requesting assistance.

Redemption will involve Titan sending the BTC associated with a coin to the requested address.  There is a security risk posed for all Titan coin owners if we send out the Private Keys for these 2FA coins.  To date, I've let people know that we don't have a good solution for distributing forked coins (and there are many forks to consider).  We'll revisit that as we get closer to redeeming everything outstanding.

what about those who bought the coins (so the email and pw are the ones they set up when purchasing) but have then sold the coins and someone else holds them? are you going to contact the original buyer and pay them? I hope not...

and yes there is a security risk when attempting to give them the private key, no matter how you do it but that is the only way they could possibly and easily redeem the forks. what have you done in the past with forked coins when people were actually able to redeem their 2fa coins?

My 0.1 Titan has a COA (certificate of authenticity). Is it a 2fa coin or non-2fa one? In addtion to it, as I know its address from the beginning, I always SEE that the denomination of 0.1 btc is still lying on its address each time I check it on the blockchain. It seems most likely to me that it has basically no ploblem? Hope that Mr Titan can fix the problem soon.

If a coin was sold the new buyer should have done the transfer. To do so you needed the original buyers user and password, the link to do so I think is still working.

My goodness.  Left and right we are seeing more people pop up and more issues arise.  I sure hope that Titan gets everyone's issues resolved.  This is all unbelievable to me.  What's even worse is that it took this thread to get Titan to finally respond to all these issues that clearly have been going on for several years now.  SMH.

The lack of resolution to this issue is very concerning.  Tim, have you lost the ability to recover the 2FA BTC?

I am guessing it was a 2017 0.1 ?
All of those were PK... and none have had issues.
It's all the older coins that rely on codes rather than 1st-bits.

There have been a couple people stating they've had issues with the PK coins ( could be user error of course).

Tim/Titan..with you having locked up millions of dollars worth of bitcoin I would think you'd do a better job responding to questions here.  I am baffled at how poorly you've handled this whole situation. Please respond to all of our questions! I think you owe us at least that much.

Dear OG's of Bitcoin, i only log onto this site a few times a year and have made a few purchases in the past, I stumbled upon this thread today and im lost on under stading the outcome and what i should do from here, i purchased a 2016 Titan Mint 1.0 btc  private key on a 1oz. gold coin #78 of 100 MS 69 DCAM back in 2017 complete with C.O.A.  From a second  hand dealer i met on ebay thecollectorschoice Being that you guys know way more about this kinda stuff than i do,  what would you do in my position ?  thank you all for you time and God Bless.

address to coin:   https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/18PoTXaUEWwoHL7CsHnMs1m9RC6FM1Mook

edit: also when i scan the code it says it has 1.0btc on the titan website but says has $0.00 value but it shows loaded on blockchain .com

2nd edit: i kept the text from the ebay auction, thought i would pst it in here for more info, ty

1 oz .999 solid GOLD.

Titan 1.0,   1 FULL BTC  face value. FUNDED/LOADED, CONTAINS 1.0 BTC

Please keep in mind on the ask price: 1 full btc value + ounce of gold, plus coin premium and small margin, less ebay fees = Priced right, or make reasonable offer.

1 oz .999 fine gold with number certificate of authenticity. You will receive a random numbered coin over #70, but under #100, as I have more than one in hand or incoming.

These were obtained directly from the founder/owner of Titan Mint, which I have dealt with since 2013 with the first coins they ever released.

NOTE: This eBay store, cflow01/thecryptostore, was established in 2007, and is a premier crypto coin and high end collectible seller.

Please also visit our sister store thecollectorschoice_1, founded in 2013, providing a variety of items such as unfunded crypto coins, collectibles, and hobby items, so buy with confidence from either store.

BTC is through the roof and predicted to go much much higher. BTC collectibles will continue to rise in value and importance as BTC prices rise.

Will be listing other coins soon.

are you sure its a 2016 coin? that address shows it was funded in Jan 2018 so I think that would mean it was not funded by Titan then right?

and if you bought it in 2017 - it was not funded when you bought it.

yes it says 2016, i bought it from an ebay seller in the end of 2017 unfunded but he had me send full payment with 1btc amount and promised it would be funded after i received it which this did happen. i have pruchased a hand full of Lealana before this purchase and made trust with him, he also still an active seller on ebay, ebay user name thecollectorschoice_1

So it was funded by your pymt? Seems odd you would have to send them funding for them to fund a coin they sent to you.

Did titan sell denominated coins that were unfunded?

If you look at the transaction though you can see it was nit funded until Jan 2018 which would have been after you got it.

Really hope they funded your actual coin for you.
