The problem is, Usyk is allegedly already in talks with Dubois' team, and he said previously in interviews that he wants Dubois as his next opponent, and I don't think the WBO's order will make much difference. I'm guessing his plan is to fight Dubois first and win the IBF belt, then win the WBO belt back and probably retire after that.

Stripping one of his belts in order to get all 4 of them in the future for me would be a good gamble.
I mean in their first meet-up in 2023, it's a controversial win against Usyk, and many believe that Dubois could've won that fight if only the referee didn't call that punch on the body a low-blow in the 5th round. Now Usyk wants to sort things out and wants to win against Dubois without any controversy at all hence, the talks are happening

There's no easy way to the top if they uses this kind of model, unlike before, wherein we see boxers in the beginning of their career and fighting nobody just to get that win in their resume and they are going to be hype like 10 to 15 fights, and maybe around 20 fights or more, they will be given their first chance to fight for the belt.

But in this new model, it's a dog eats dog world for boxers now, no time to lose a fight and the next fight will the be harder one until you are in the top of the standing and becoming the next mandatory fighter to a champion.

You need to keep winning to established your name and have that opportunity to fight for the title, it's a tough call to each aspirants as there are so many young fighters who's fighting for that opportunities to be known and be the next title holder, it's how you create your name and be notice by many, especially if you are been exposed by social media your chance to keep that esposure may lead you to earn that respect and if fate permits to grab the belt that you deserve.

Lol, there are some fighters who have more first round knockouts too, but in the end we haven't heard of those fighters. Not sure why Berlanga compared himself to Mike. But it could be obvious that he wanted to hype his name again.

But this is just a bad way as you don't want to be controversial. Just become a fighter that you wanted to be, don't talk about the legends and compare yourself to them.

Most likely the governing bodies are not going to set up a one-fight. They are still competing against each other, so it's better that they will have their own champion and maybe talk about unifying fight later. It will be good though for Usyk to retire undefeated with all the HW belts under him. I can't recall if there is such champions before, undefeated and retire undisputed.

Fury is done, he won't have the guts to fight Usyk, only Parker and Dubois for him and he could have clean up the division for good. Dubois though might have a chance against him or at least the fight will be very competitive as I see it.

I reckon that after the victories earned from Anthony Joshua and Mike Tyson Fury, there is no more for Usyk in boxing unless there is a very young, undefeated and skillful heavyweight boxer who will ne discovered similar to the young Mike Tyson before. However, there is none and the excitement in heavyweight boxing has been again killed.

The excitement appears to be on the super lightweight division or the welterweight division or catchweight between these on the return of King Ry. However, when King Ry will begin the masterful, monk kungfu training under the mexican master Eddy Reynoso, I predict that Ryan Garcia will unify super lightweight and he will move to welterweight and he will unify this also.

Only Turki would be mad enough to pay him what he is demanding, but then he would have to face tough challengers. We saw what happened when he stepped up against a remotely decent opponent. His knockout streak ended and he couldn’t get a stoppage in four years.

There is no indication that he will ever be anything more than a half decent fringe contender. It's hard to compare with Floyd, since he can back up all his trash talking and he has fought a lot of great champions and no one has defeated him. For Edgar, Canelo stop him on his track and on his resume? Most of them are relatively unknown.

It might be better if he will fight Jaime Munguia, because this two are contemporaries and have been calling each other out for a long time. Although Munguia has been upset already, so he needs to build up again and create the hype behind his name.

Yes, his last fight against Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz was the last with Matchroom Boxing, although he won, he was overweight in this fight. Despite this, I think HE Turki is willing to take a risk on Berlanga.

And it was reported that his next target fight will be against big names Caleb Plant, Jermall Charlo, and Jaime Munguia. So that is a good lineup of fighters if he can land it under HE Turki and fight in Saudi.

He passed away at age 76. Who would forget his fight with Muhammad Ali? Then came back in 1994 to beat the then champion Michael Moorer at age 45? And then turn business minded and in the late 90's to early 2000's seen in TV with his product "The George Foreman Grill".

In boxing news, Sebastian Fundora outclassed a mismatch Chordale Booker and referee stopping the contest in the 4 rounds. I think it's time for Fundora to step up the competition here, although he did target Crawford, but we all know that Crawford is set to fight Canelo before the end of the year.

Maybe Xander Zayas or Vergil Ortiz might be the best next fight for Fundora as both as highly skilled fighter with power in both hands.

Yes, very hard to accept that George Foreman is not here anymore. But he really become famous after his career with his grill, and it really put a lot of impact on US household for many years. What a life story he had, not sure if there are already autobiography about his life, if none then I wouldn't be surprised if someone within his circle will start to create one. As for the Fundora fight, it's more of a big man really bullying the small man. Booker doesn't have any answer to Fundora's onslaught, although he had his moments, it seems that the chin of Fundora holds or Booker doesn't have any power. We already knew that Fundora has a glass jaw, but in this fight, as I have said, it was not broken although he was hit square in the face by Booker.

When you want to stay afloat and not be out of the limelight, you really need to do things like this.
Just look at those fighters who're making controversies here and there. That's how they make themselves be known by fans so that they can't forget them.

Funny enough, Berlanga did actually try to bite an opponent before. He was suspended for six months because of it. That is really where the similarities end because Berlanga could never reach a level of greatness of such a legendary fighter.

Canelo always has some lame excuse for why he won’t fight Benavidez. He doesn’t want to fight another Mexican, he is too heavy, he is disrespectful. We know the real reason is because Canelo is a coward who only wants easy fights so he would rather cherry pick a much smaller fighter like Crawford.
