I thought that Donaire is done with boxing already. But it seems that he still carry on with a fight with a unknown boxer from Chile, Andrés Campos. And it will be for the WBA Interim Bantamweight champion. First it was Manny Pacquaio, now it's Nonito. It seems that this Filipino legend is still not done yet for the sport and will be looking to get another belt and Donaire could be the oldest bantamweight champion I reckon if he win this fight.

Not that much attention and like what you mentioned it was Pacman who did announce that he's officially going back inside the ring but with Donaire it's a silent one which will gave him another chance to hold another title let see if how things will going to take place and how Donaire will proceed in case that he manage to win against Campos, though he's already no longer on his prime but knowing him once he managed to throw that solid punches he can still bring his opponents down..

Yeah, he is that silent type though and most of the time, it's better to just be a low key fighter or at least your fights is not that well known in your country. But once you won the fight, you will be instant hero in the Philippines again. So let's see for Donaire here, he might still have one fight inside of him. But Nonito's resume might not be as good or the competition he fought is not as heavy as Manny during their primes. Both though have made a good comeback throughout in their careers. However, we all know that sooner or later age is going to caught up with them.

Same here mate, I also thought that he is done with the sports of boxing specially after that humiliating lost to Inoue by a knockout on the second fight. And if my memory serves me right, he also fought again after that and losing again.

Seeing Campos is not so big in knocking his opponent, this could be considered a pro fight still and its a big win for Campos if he knocks Donaire.

This is a big fight for Campos, and we can consider this like a stepping stone for him. If he beats a legend like Donaire and then got  interim belt, then obviously the next target will be the regular champion and that means bigger paycheck for him.

Yup, Campos will definitley benefits to this even Donaire is already past on his prime he still known as one of those top fighter in his era, bringing him inside the ring and having that opportunities to fight against him will give Campos a good publicities, let see if how they'll be able to gain attentions especially after the fight if what will be their benefits from each other aside from the money that they'll going to earned out from this schedule fight.

Donaire, 42, beat Andres Campos by technical decision after the bout was stopped in the ninth round after a clash of heads left the Filipino Flash unable to see out of his right eye.

He led on all three scorecards at the stoppage, 87-84, 87-84 and 88-83.

But still good to hear that he won the fight, despite that clash of heads and he is in:

Donaire (43-8, 28 KOs) is now in line to face the winner of Antonio Vargas vs. Daigo Higa, which takes place July 30 in Japan.

So he will have a chance to fight for the belt next, so let's see how it goes for the Filipino Flash, maybe he still has some brilliance in him but it's going to be very hard for him if he will face a great boxer.

^^ Correct, a win is a win and so with this win by Donaire, he is moving to have not just a interim belt but a regular belt for that matter. He is also in his 40's so he might have the record as the oldest bantamweight. I did check the rankings and Higa is ranked #3, Seiya Tsutsumi is the champion in recess that's why Donaire is the interim champion. However, this is pretty stack up weight class with all champions are Japanese, including Junto Nakatani. So I'm not sure how Donaire will survived this division as his age. We also have the younger brother of Naoya almost rank in all divisions. In any case, Donaire will have to dig deeper from his experience if he wanted to reclaim his glory in the bantamweight division of today.

This certainly affected his speed and his readiness. On strength, it is still very much there, however, what can you do with this if speed and readiness is not 100%? This certainly showed that strength is not enough. This might sometimes he enough on heavyweight but not enough on lower weight divisions.

Devin Haney's confidence is obviously gone in him and it is only a matter of time that he will be broken, i mean someone could officially break that zero in his resume. Garcia showed the template on how to beat Haney and for sure Brian Norman is thoroughly studying it right now. TBH, i have not seen how Norman fought but i'm confident that sooner or later someone will beat Haney.

Donaire has lost a lot of speed, which is understandable given that he is now 42 years old. In his last fight against Andres Campos, he appeared almost stationary. The belt he currently holds is an interim one, if I'm not mistaken, while the regular champion is Antonio Vargas. Vargas is set to fight Daigo Higa soon, and the winner will face Donaire. This upcoming match will be a true test for Donaire to see if he still has what it takes to be a champion at his age.

It's more of this fighters playing mind games, whether against themselves or their opponents. Teo Lopez if I recall also said that he is going to retire, but he didn't and make a comeback and even training with Manny Pacquaio or Canelo Alvarez.

Right, they just want their stock to go up and so he sort of having a power in him to bargain. Nevertheless, it's good to see him back again and going for the trilogy. And as I have said, it's gong to be mental for him if he can comeback and beat Usyk.

It is very headshaking that after losing 2 times against Usyk and Usyk has convinced everyone that he is much better than Tyson Fury, the rich Arab billionaire master Turki is promoting this to become a trilogy? I respect master Turki for what he is doing for boxing, however, this appears to be another fight that is something similar to a scam ICO. They will hype this, take our money and this will be disappointing and similar to Usyk vs. Fury 1 and 2 hehe.

I reckon master Turki should wait for the winner of Bivol vs. Beterbiev trilogy and convince the winner to move to heavyweight to challenge Usyk. This will be Russia vs. Ukraine, in boxing only heheheh.
