On most gambling platforms that I have played to, they have an option to opt out of future promotional emails. I know Stake.com has it as well, but if they still sent you some emails even if you opt out of those promotional emails here and there, then perhaps you can make a case for it and file the necessary complaint.
I think most of the casinos does that if they want their users to stop receiving promo emails from them. It's an automated email every time they have promos.
They're giving that option for those that wish to not see them anymore and they can control it and block it on their system if someone requests it directly to them and they should honor that user's request if it's a serious gambling addiction.
I am going to agree with that as even you are not active on their site, you were still receiving emails from them. I have that experience, a little bit disappointing seeing those emails flooded in our inbox and only the best thing to do is block them. But I think we don't be angry why they keep sending us as they also think that we also need new updates, especially promo updates. We only need to have their support team know that we don't need these things and explain why?
Well, you can stop them on your own as there's the stop subscribing/unsubscribe as mentioned. But if you're on the situation of OP, you'll really be disgusted as you're going out and eventually there are these announcements from the casino that you're avoiding.
All of a sudden, you'll remember what you're trying to forget and avoid and the fire would come out again just after seeing the reminder email.

Stake does not work with this register sadly. In my opinion Stake really has to tighten their responsibile gambling. Maybe perform KYC checks upon depositing instead of letting them play and on a big win start asking for KYC.
You can't compare a crypto casino to regular fiat-based platforms who adhere to strict regulations. People involved with crypto don't want strict control. They especially don't want to undergo KYC. Requiring KYC after a big win is an excuse that many platforms use unfortunately. But again, due to a lack of regulation, that has become a normal thing in this space.

I hope a representative will jump on this thread soon to help solve the issue, since their support is only making things worse.
I don't think you should expect too much. You let your guard down and you gambled. Would this thread have been created if you won $70.000 instead of the $7.000 that you lost, for example? I don't think it would.

You are right, they are just using it to scam their players that's why it's not advisable to gamble a huge amount of money in crypto casinos especially those that are not regulated as if they will claim you cheated, it's easy for them to deny you your winnings and you cannot go after them.

Stake shouldn't have sent you those emails, that is true. But ultimately, you decide what path you will take. Apparently, you aren't strong enough to make that decision yourself. It was just a matter of time before you would slip up. If it wasn't due to an email sent by Stake, it could be because of a billboard you see in your town, an ad on TV, or an offer somewhere online. Seeking professional help is the right way to go about it. That together with the help of those close to you can make a change.

Hope you get those personal issues sorted out and you become a stronger person who knows how to say no.

I remember some time ago there was a case like the OP's, namely a former gambling addict who had reported a casino to the court just because he kept receiving spam emails like the OP got, but unfortunately I completely forgot the name of the casino and the source of the news, but I remember at that time the news was quite popular and we even discussed it on the forum, and even more great if I'm not wrong, the former gambler managed to beat the casino and also demanded quite a lot of money, maybe there are some members here who still remember the news please back to share.

I know its hard that they had poke out your gambling addiction but why you cant just let it pass and save up yourself on lots of hassle on trying to fight
out your rights?

Move on and stop gambling if you really wanted to and dont put up yourself into hassle and much effort to prove out that you are right.

To be honest, this is a lost-cause for OP's side where he still continues to believe that fighting this battle would yield him rewards. Again, I do think that stake somehow and impliedly acknowledged their fault in sending out any promotional email in their side. By blocking your accounts, that was the last step in order to secure the idea of any possibility of you coming back.

While you may show any evidence to prove to the contrary, I mean at the end of the day, what does it prove anyway? While I also fully support your decision of quitting, fighting this kind of battle relatively proves that the lingering feeling of gambling may soon convince you to do it again.
Actually having the same impressions too on what OP is trying to do so or trying to make things happen on what he do have in mind.. yield him rewards ? Stake wont do that for sure.

Once you had requested for some exclusion then its understandable that there's no way for you to make out some deposits after that and if you do then its totally your own fault.

They might sent out promotional emails which might be some sort of glitch or bug or they didnt really totally block it out but since you had quit out
then it would be normal that for you to avoid at all cost.

In a state of recovery from gambling addiction, there are often severe trials to leave it. I understand this disappointment, because recovering from gambling addiction is not an easy and simple matter. If many people say that "it will depend on you, if you are no longer interested then leave it".
It's not that simple when we become addicted to gambling. The slightest thing that reminds us of gambling will sometimes pull us back to gambling. And this may be hard to avoid.

Regarding the Stake.com account which even though it is no longer active but continues to receive promotional email notifications, can you block the email in the email settings? Or temporarily, do not use the email?
because after all gambling sites will continue to send various promotions via email because this is done in its entirety to all emails that have registered on the site.
but if their side has promised to stop it, hopefully it will. But again, can't expect much.

Since they are still sending you emails, I believe they are not aware of your situation, and I believe this is because you agreed to the newsletter before signing up, which is why they are doing so. However, since they are on the main system, they could easily remove you from the list. This indicates that they are not concerned about you or your emails when it comes to this topic. What I recommend is that you either change your email address, or move the stake.com email to your spam folder, so that it doesn't appear in your inbox. You can only do it that way, unless you keep bombarding them with emails about your predicament until they stop emailing you.

This is basically the main problem, a gambler who cant responsible for himself then try to blame other because of the unstoppable desire to gamble . He knows that he has gambling problem but seems that he is not really serious to get rid of it. Even if he still gets some promotional email from the casino, he should ignore it. He said that he was able to quit for a year, how could he come back just because of promotional email? I believe it is his own will to come back and gamble again.

Actually stake also has an unsubscribe button at the bottom of all their emails I think, I am saying that because I am a player at the casino and I get annoying emails too haha but there's an option to unsubscribe.

I have contacted live support and the legal department, and they have admitted their was a error in their database allowing to send promotional emails to problem gamblers, they have let me know they have fixed it after my messages.


It's an honest mistake,Stake.com is not the only one who experienced that I unsubscribed on some of my mailing lists but they keep sending me for the whole month because the database for sending the newsletters has not been updated for those who unsubscribe, if you trust Stake.com you'll let this pass, but if you have an issue besides this one, you can file a complaint but it's going to be a useless complaint.

I am out from stake.com site because I faced bad experience with this gambling site where my account got banned with unknow reason and loss my money there, you can see with many people faced problem their account suddenly banned in stake.com and they not responsibility with how much fund in your account and never refund back, last days my friend win from sport betting site on stake.com and on the morning he got his account was banned without unknow reason and I am so sad he has 400$ in his account before banned.

This is not as much about this service or another but rather about understanding that the self-regulation in the industry is the best defence against the naysayers that question the whole idea of allowing on-line gambling in western jurisdictions. Mails and promo are used by all the industries and should, within reason be all right. Let's be honest, the lending industry is as pushy with people who overspend and click their triggers as much as the gambling industry and there is no indication that anyone is complaining about it... why that difference?

I am out from stake.com site because I faced bad experience with this gambling site where my account got banned with unknow reason and loss my money there, you can see with many people faced problem their account suddenly banned in stake.com and they not responsibility with how much fund in your account and never refund back, last days my friend win from sport betting site on stake.com and on the morning he got his account was banned without unknow reason and I am so sad he has 400$ in his account before banned.

Any evidences to support your claim  or you are just saying because you hate Stake?
If you have solid evidences, why didn't you create your own scam accusation thread against Stake?

This is not good for Stake.com, they have a lot of complaints in the scam section already, in the past some were addressed, and the exclusion has become a big issue, there are 3 or 4 complaints about their exclusion system, they should address this and make an official announcement these are minor complaints but since it's snowballing and it will become a big concern if not addressed immediately..

Self exclusion is just an additional feature to help player to stay away from the casino.
The one who responsible for their gambling problems is themselves, even if you requested a self exclusion but you cant control yourself, it wont make any changes.

I dont have any doubts on them even though it turns out to be a big issue as of this moment not really that much serious though but this one do really creates some bad impressions

I think most of the casinos does that if they want their users to stop receiving promo emails from them. It's an automated email every time they have promos.
They're giving that option for those that wish to not see them anymore and they can control it and block it on their system if someone requests it directly to them and they should honor that user's request if it's a serious gambling addiction.
Actually stake also has an unsubscribe button at the bottom of all their emails I think, I am saying that because I am a player at the casino and I get annoying emails too haha but there's an option to unsubscribe.

I mean it is hard to maintain the integrity of the exclusion system, let's give them that.

But a lot of the things that has been raised is clearly their fault and they need to take responsibility for those.

It does seem quite disingenuous to not address any of these ethical and legal concerns. Feels like dodging questions to me.

Instead of keeping himself away from the promotional email by using the unsubscribe feature or simply blocking the email from Stake, he prefer to create a new account and make a deposit to play after a long rest since the self exclusion. In my opinion, OP was aware what he did and he tried to test his luck after the rest but unfortunately he lost the new deposit then try to blame Stake for his new lost.

Why post your issue here when you have already created a thread on your issue, you are spamming the forum with your double entry, Stake should be aware of the issue right now since there are already two or three threads with the same issue, they should address this for people who want to stop or excluded but always tempted to log in, I wonder are the other casinos also this slow in excluding their members who requested exclusion.
Inl don't think there is anything wrong with this cause op just want to express is own part of the story. I see no reason why stake will be bombarding op which unnecessary ads that might improper and unwelcome. I think Stake can fix this even to other gamblers because I know others might still be facing the same problem but might decide to keep it low.

He's aware and he said that he's just recovering. And in that means, he should have avoided those promotional emails and made his initiative of blocking them.
