Managing database could be another world of difficulty.
Not a hard thing if they have control on it. There's always the faster query on their database and can just remove the email of the person that don't want to receive it if they've been asked nicely. But as said, the option is there for each individuals that have found it annoying and don't want to receive it anymore through unsubscribing.

Managing database could be another world of difficulty.
Not a hard thing if they have control on it. There's always the faster query on their database and can just remove the email of the person that don't want to receive it if they've been asked nicely. But as said, the option is there for each individuals that have found it annoying and don't want to receive it anymore through unsubscribing.

If the person is sincere with the change in his lifestyle, even after receiving some emails from the casino, it is always on his decision whether to go for it or not. Because there are some loopholes that you can't avoid. Stake is a popular crypto casino here but they also have shortcomings on this aspect. By now, the OP should know what to do in this case. If after communicating with the support about his self-exclusion, still he is receiving mails, then, the change will now happen from his end.

Unfortunately Stake still has not made any contact with me regarding my complaint. They also failed to respond twice to the third party complaint service who tried their best to get in contact with Stake, sadly without any success.

I don't feel like they have to contact you. It's not like they're making you go back to gambling, you have a lot of tools available. You can for example block them in your mailbox or in an extreme situation stop using it. There's plenty of email providers out there. IMO they should give you a way to unsubscribe, but if they did not, it's not like you have to cry in the corner or give up and start gambling again. Don't let some automated mailing system get the better of you. You're not a child anymore, things like that happen every day!

I personally have never had any issues when it comes to getting addicted to gambling but I have a few friends who have had these issues and I know how hard it can be to overcome them. LoL how come it is stake's fault? Responsible gambling is bullshit in the first place. If a person don't have any control over him/herself, why would that be stake's problem? He/She needs professional help and that's not among stake's responsibilities. What stake responsible for is providing us an honest/fast casino. You just can't ask more from them.

There is a mistake from the Stake side as well because they still send promotional email to player who have requested Self-Exclusion due to a glitch in their system/server. However, player also made a big mistake by creating new account because he is triggered by the promo. He is aware that he has gambling problem, he should have ignored those promotional email but in fact he decided to create a new account-play-the lose his money-asking refund. For me asking for refund does not make senses in this case.

It's not a big problem for me as I don't use my real email on gambling sites. Well, I think you can block emails from certain email address, maybe you can use that feature. If you are a problem gambler and you just want to quit, then just avoid any contact from the site, why not just disregard the emails you are receiving, it should not affect you if you are in the healing process.

This is true. Like what they have said, prevention is always better than cure. It would have been smooth sailing if the OP just blocked all the means the casino can contact him since he is in the recovery stage. That way, they could no longer reach him. However, I believe the casino is still somehow responsible as well because they should monitor everyone who requested to be excluded the moment the client already told them so to avoid inconvenience on the client's side as well as to not cause any nuisance since we're all aware that gambling addiction is really a serious problem that doesn't just take a one sitting to be addressed and healed.

I know this incident already happened in late 2021, but let this be a lesson to both gambler and the casino owner to be responsible for their actions and lack thereof. Let's not practice pinpointing who to blame and instead just do proactive measures to prevent such incidents to happen again.

I think a responsible gambling website will have a good priority and will definitely keep members safe. If you are not responsible, of course, the name of the web will be a fugitive from a bad image fraud.

Alright, so Stake has responded to my claim with the third party provider. They offered me an amount of $1000, which was nowhere near the amount of the damage they caused. So I explained that this amount does not cover the damage they have caused by sending me promotional emails on an self excluded account. Then 2 days later I reconsidered their offer and decided to take their $1000 offer.

Stake has decided to not pay the $1000 compensation and keep on ignoring all my mails. The way this company is handling this is absolutely ridiculous and I have seen enough to tell you all this company is pure evil. For anyone wanting to see the conversations with Stake please let me know, I will share them here.

Yes, it is right. Anything in excess will not be good for us, especially playing gambling excessively. We have learned many lessons about how many people suffer losses in gambling games. That's enough for us to be a lesson for ourselves and lest we also experience the same thing.

I am with you in terms of I like everything in moderations but I don’t think it should fall on the onus of a gambling
Website to look out for the well being of its players. I guess it’s the libertarian side of me here speaking but I feel like everyone should be responsible for their own doings, good or bad (to an extent, I don’t think we should legal or heroin tomorrow or anything).

Sometimes our ego could really be the main reason on why we do miss out those kind of opportunities yet that $1k isnt really a bad amount imho and he's indeed lucky that he's been offered for that amount

which i dont see for stake to be having some sort of responsibility because this had been a self-control kind of problem on a certain individual even though there was some error but not really that much

Their management for sure won't really do too much with the database for just a user there's an option to their mailing notification such as the ideal is the unsubscribe its one of their feature option so they don't need to make it handle to the backend of course only the devs will handle at that request. They already give an option to their users else you can use the spam notifications with the feature of the platform you are using to prevent direct to your primary inbox or notifications.

Most person's take gambling for a hubby,and keep on gambling every day.Most times they loose,and some times,they win,but the times they loose is much more bigger than when they win,that is to say that the amount of money they've lost is much more bigger than the one they've won,that is why it is adviceable to gamble only when we see a sure odd.
In all,we should try to limit our gambling rate,Atleast not taking it as a hobby so as to avoid waste of resources and money.

Alright, so Stake has responded to my claim with the third party provider. They offered me an amount of $1000, which was nowhere near the amount of the damage they caused. So I explained that this amount does not cover the damage they have caused by sending me promotional emails on an self excluded account. Then 2 days later I reconsidered their offer and decided to take their $1000 offer.

Stake has decided to not pay the $1000 compensation and keep on ignoring all my mails. The way this company is handling this is absolutely ridiculous and I have seen enough to tell you all this company is pure evil. For anyone wanting to see the conversations with Stake please let me know, I will share them here.
You should be thankful in the first place because they offer you this and I believe that this is the first time they did this because they already have a feature called rakeback, bonuses and others where a gambler can get some return for the money that they lost and it's not their fault that you lost a lot of money.

You realized that it was a good offer so you say yes but it seems it too late already because they already closed their doors. They assume that you don't like the offer and they are hurt when you say additional negative words to them. Sorry but I'm with stake. I'm not biased here even though I have been playing on their casino because I can also see their great service.

Managing database could be another world of difficulty.
Not a hard thing if they have control on it. There's always the faster query on their database and can just remove the email of the person that don't want to receive it if they've been asked nicely. But as said, the option is there for each individuals that have found it annoying and don't want to receive it anymore through unsubscribing.

Their management for sure won't really do too much with the database for just a user there's an option to their mailing notification such as the ideal is the unsubscribe its one of their feature option so they don't need to make it handle to the backend of course only the devs will handle at that request. They already give an option to their users else you can use the spam notifications with the feature of the platform you are using to prevent direct to your primary inbox or notifications.
That's it.
They won't waste their time doing it if they have a feature that can be done and pressed by the user. It's not hidden elsewhere but always at the bottom of their emails.
It is just that there's seem to be a feeling of being high as a customer that the casino has that obligation of doing that favor for him.
