so you should change the thread title because your problem is not about emails and addiction, your problem is about new account you created after receiving emails and your new account was blocked with funds.
No, locking the second account is not the problem here because they locked it after he informed them about it.

Quote
is there any rule that prohibits people who are addicted after self-closing account cannot come back later to create a new account?
According to the self-exclusion terms, an excluded user must not create a new account or use any of his alternative accounts.
You should not attempt or proceed to open any new accounts during your self-exclusion period, or indefinitely if a permanent self-exclusion has been selected.
If the casino finds out you creayed a new account they will lock it immediately.

Quote
how would stake.com know that your addiction is gone? would you be able to prove it for them to unlock your account?
They don't. But when you request to be excluded you can choose for how long this exclusion shall remain ( 1 month, six months... or permanently).

now I don't understand what exactly OP wants stake.com to do? That's what I want to understand, I'm reading several posts but so far I can't understand what the OP wants? Does anyone understand what OP wants?

reading his previous reply to my post. Basically, I think OP wanted to be compensated for the money he lost on the new account he created when he contacted the support to inform them that he is still receiving promotional emails even after his account was closed(most likely due to self-exclusion).

Please let me clarify my issue more. I have created a new account after recieving those mails, since the first account was already excluded. I have let them know about the issue and asked them for a refund. As they were fully aware I am a problem gambler they immediately locked the new account to, however I managed to lose some money on that account.

He opened a new account and lost some money, and wants to get that money refunded.

If this was a physical casino then fair enough, but I honestly don't think that Stake or any other online casino would be willing to do this.

Responsible gambling laws are currently not that well adopted in online casinos, which is a real shame.

He wants that Stake wont be already sending out those promotional emails that might poke up again on his gambling addiction but since
he hadnt able to get on what he do like for Stakes response then he do whine out into the community.

I know that gambling addiction is hard but it would be just common sense that you shouldnt access things on where you could possible
see those in related with gambling things.

He do make out this issue to be this big but actually its not really needed or having no point.

From his post I understood that his self exclusion from Stake hasn't been done in a perfect manner. There were small mistakes that kept him interested towards gambling as he kept receiving bonus and promotional emails from Stake. Now Stake have given an description regarding the policy for subscribe and unsubscribe of the e-mails. Anyhow here Stake then onwards needs to be very careful in managing such user datas, because these statements can turn to be negative.

Finally, I understand now what is really happening to Op.

Yes, I agree that if you want to excluded yourself from the trouble specially in gambling sites they shouldn't try to access anything that's related with the site since google will just keep bringing that up to you once they know what you are surfing. You should use incognito or ToR if you want to never see what you just searched, watched, or surf on the internet.

Op, is just creating a complicated problems which is just a simple problem if he just let it go since in the first place he's the one to be blame for searching but if it's not his problem then he should just move on since the support said that there was a slight mistake or error in the system which is out of their hands at the moment.

I don't think that they have to do this though, it's not like you're the total responsibility of someone for your actions, yes casinos are responsible to some level but that doesn't mean that every step of the way, they will be with you. People like this don't have any sense of responsibility in my opinion.

You are saying this isn't a big issue, however I am sure other casino's/regulators will view this from another standpoint. Other casino's will never send you promotional material after they excluded your account for problem gambling. And if they do, they are the ones who failed to take responsibility. It might be a small mistake, however, can we take their words for it? What if they did this with more problem gamblers?

This is not a problem at all and doesn't deserve to have a thread, there are three ways to solve this issue, you can ignore the promotional email, you can unsubscribe, or you can log in and change the email to the one that you rarely use, we all have disposable emails, it only proves that you are still not cured and a mere mention of gambling site will get you irritated, a person that is cured of gambling will not get agitated or irritated from this issue, based on your post you still hate Stake.com for the many loss you incurred.

That is not correct sir. The jurisdiction im in has tightened their gambling laws and introduced a register in October 2021 to have problem gamblers excluded from online betting sites, which I have writed myself in. You are certianly not aware that the casino is in the wrong here with sending me promotional emails. How would you feel if you are a problem gambler taking every possible steps to prevent from going there again, and then suddenly gets emails from Stake, while in fact they already knew about your problems and shouldn't have sent those emails in the first place.

This is not an issue of casino rules but more on how you deal with it, the only way to beat your fear or what's controlling you is to face it, let's admit even if you are not receiving these promotional emails, you will eventually face these temptations soon and  if you don't want to receive these you called annoying promotional emails at all, then why are you here and posting in the gambling section where you can see all these promotional banners, I hope you get cured and be true to yourself and overcome these temptations

now I don't understand what exactly OP wants stake.com to do? That's what I want to understand, I'm reading several posts but so far I can't understand what the OP wants? Does anyone understand what OP wants?

Of course, it's simple:

Last month there was a case with a casino I won't name here that has done the same thing, however they only accidently send emails to excluded members for sending out just one email, they are facing some serious legal action. So why do you think Stake should get away with this?

I believe he wishes community support here, to stand behind him... and then maybe he can make some deals with Stuna, in that case, Stake will not face "some serious legal action"... All I see is OP crying about a few emails he received, and now he is a victim... he is trying to explain how much he is suffering now! A little compensation from Stake would make his problems go away! Sounds like a bad movie...

Im sorry you are not aware of the rules but this is actually a rule, a casino can not keep sending promotional emails to excluded players. Thank you, im doing my best.

Sorry man, I don't see you as some big victim here... as others pointed out already, you had other ways to unsubscribe! You could do that, without crying around...

I personally don't look at those emails because I know those are just promotional campaign, so I also believe that it is you the problem here and if you don't have self-control then you might fall for that all over again. I understand that OP is going under the rehabilitation program, but you cannot succeed on that if you can't face the reality and do the right thing. Just ignore those emails, or better to leave that account and create a new one. You should help yourself to recover as well, don't loon on something to blame with.

so you should change the thread title because your problem is not about emails and addiction, your problem is about new account you created after receiving emails and your new account was blocked with funds.

He wants that Stake wont be already sending out those promotional emails that might poke up again on his gambling addiction but since
he hadnt able to get on what he do like for Stakes response then he do whine out into the community.

I know that gambling addiction is hard but it would be just common sense that you shouldnt access things on where you could possible
see those in related with gambling things.

He do make out this issue to be this big but actually its not really needed or having no point.

It's really hard to resist your urge in playing gambling after you ignore it for some time, but I guess it still depends on the person on what's gonna be his reaction towards on that certain trigger. Gambling addiction is a serious disease that needs longer medication and therapy, but as long as the person who is addicted to gambling will never quit to his medication and will always report to his therapist, he will be cured in no time.

Sorry man, I don't see you as some big victim here... as others pointed out already, you had other ways to unsubscribe! You could do that, without crying around...

He just wants to put Stake.com in a bad light for something that can easily address, he is in the healing period and doesn't want to see anything about gambling why he is posting here, he should just post in other sections but not on the gambling section if he doesn't want to do anything about gambling, he's just fooling himself.

If he's going through something then blaming a certain site couldn't heal him. We all commit mistakes but sometimes we only have to admit that we're doing wrong. It's fine to burst out but continuous complaining could only make his situation worse. Accepting our unfortunate fate in gambling sometimes is the best way to heal.

I think you are right here but sometimes things doesn't look the same way we always see it. I believe op can always ignore the messages totally but it doesn't make sense for this kind of thing to be happening for a reputable gambling platform. I know that many other sites do the same without minding your consent which is irrational to me.

I am not aware of the rule because I can control how I gamble I don't think I will go to the point that I will need to exclude myself from a casino, if I want to take a vacation I will just unsubscribe and will take a vacation from posting or reading any online materials that deals in gambling until I can deal with my gambling habit effectively.

Addiction is something a hard thing to be resisted or simply be cured and thats why everything that would really be triggering to those gambling urge would really be hard once you do see it again.

I cant blame out OP on why he do reacts like this on which it turns out that Stake shouldnt have done that thing but as i say that if he do really wants to simply quit gambling then he should

stop on accessing those sites or emails or something that could possible connect him to gambling once again.Yes, its hard but it can be done.
