i can vouch for this stake doesn't have any responsible gambling.

I have advised stake that i have a gambling problem in the past they have a 24 hour cooling period so if you self exclude you can

bring yourself back into the game. So for that reason on October 20st i asked eddie personally on telegram as he was my vip to ban me. Then on october 21st

Eddie says i am permanently banned self excluded. Then next week it did not become the case i was let in able to deposit and play and lose $$$.  All i am asking is to return my 2 last deposit made on my account this is not my fault you guys. One of the reason why i wanted him to ban me because i was close to being a platinum and that was a reason for me to gamble away.

( i have attached pictures as well as a post i made almost 2 years ago regarding same issue at askgamblers.com looks like they haven't improved at all)

Why post your issue here when you have already created a thread on your issue, you are spamming the forum with your double entry, Stake should be aware of the issue right now since there are already two or three threads with the same issue, they should address this for people who want to stop or excluded but always tempted to log in, I wonder are the other casinos also this slow in excluding their members who requested exclusion.

Addiction is something a hard thing to be resisted or simply be cured and thats why everything that would really be triggering to those gambling urge would really be hard once you do see it again.

I cant blame out OP on why he do reacts like this on which it turns out that Stake shouldnt have done that thing but as i say that if he do really wants to simply quit gambling then he should

stop on accessing those sites or emails or something that could possible connect him to gambling once again.Yes, its hard but it can be done.

It is true addiction is something that hard to resist and if a person is already decided to quit on his gambling addiction any temptation that would again make him near to the thing he was insisted to refuse will probably provoke the time he spent to move on from it. We really can't blame OP if he reacts that way by the promotional and bonus emails that he got from the gambling site. We do also have our own interpretation by the thread but  I do also understand that we may have different interpretation about it. I just do hope that OP could finally quit and win his battle against gambling addiction.

Overcoming gambling addiction is really hard, one among hundred succeed in it. Gambling is business for the house owners, but for the common man it is something like a way to earn. Very few think it as a fun platform to spend some time and money beyond the life needs. Stake has gained good reputation, so surely op will get the proper solution for the issue.

If you really want to quit gambling forever, you should have a strong mind to say to yourself "NO" for playing gambling and never trying to visit any casinos. It is not easy, especially when you are already addicted to gambling and you really need help from other people who can guide you through the right way. You must avoid visiting the casino, no matter if that is hard, because that is for yourself and your goodness. We all hope @OP can solve his problem, whether the casino helps him or tries by himself. I am sure he can do that if he is still consistent to cure his addiction.

Dear fellow users,

Let me explain the situation im in with Stake.com,
I am a recovering gambling addict with an account at Stake due to problem gambling.

This account has been closed for a long time and they still kept spamming me with promotional and bonus emails, even though they were fully aware of my problems.

I have contacted live support and the legal department, and they have admitted their was a error in their database allowing to send promotional emails to problem gamblers, they have let me know they have fixed it after my messages.

Unfortunately Stake is not taking any responsibility regarding my issue and will blame me for their mistakes.

I hope there is someone noticing the pain Stake is causing to some of the problem gamblers out there, and I still hope Stake will solve this issue with me.

If you unsubscribed from their E-Mails and they kept sending you those unwanted E-Mails AND they even admitted their mistake then you have a case in court because they may have broken anti-spam laws as well as tormenting you. I would think. I would seek advise from a lawyer to confirm that suspicion, though. I would definitely be angry if that happened to me. They don't really seem to care about taking responsibility for their mistakes... Angry

It's automated once you unsubscribe to their newsletter and the database is updated they cannot send you any more emails, they have a broken system if the emails keep coming in even though you already unsubscribe, they are violating the anti-spam law if you do not subscribe but receive a lot of fo emails.

I figure that the promotional emails are ready to sent on a given date and it was too late to replace the date, sometimes it happens to me after I unsubscribe I still receive one or two emails because it was already set to be sent.

So far stake is one of the most trusted casinos and continues to get a good reputation from each of their users, I don't know what the your  main problem is, but if it's just because of spam emails of course the your can press the unsubscribe button provided under the email , because like other site spam emails, of course by pressing the unsubscribe button the yours will be directed to the site , and you can unsubscribe from updates or news from stake sites.

Wow, I just checked my email inbox and see a response from the Stake complaint department.
I have caught them lying.
They claim my account where I was recieving the email on was banned on 14-11-21, and the new account I created was banned on 11-12-21. However the account they claim was banned in 14-11-21 was banned way before.
This is simply not possible as I never had more then 1 active account
https://i.ibb.co/YNNf4YN/Screenshot-20211226-102436-Chrome.jpg
This is unbelievable, Stake is making up lies regarding my issue.

EDIT:  I have now found evidence to proof Stake is lying here, this has been passed on to the third party complaint service im using right now.

Are you serious on fighting on this one OP? Why you cant just move on and accept their fault? There's no need for you to hassle up yourself on arranging something just to prove you out that you are right and they were wrong.Although if you  do caught them lying then what would be your primary aim?

I know its hard that they had poke out your gambling addiction but why you cant just let it pass and save up yourself on lots of hassle on trying to fight
out your rights?

Move on and stop gambling if you really wanted to and dont put up yourself into hassle and much effort to prove out that you are right.

To be honest, this is a lost-cause for OP's side where he still continues to believe that fighting this battle would yield him rewards. Again, I do think that stake somehow and impliedly acknowledged their fault in sending out any promotional email in their side. By blocking your accounts, that was the last step in order to secure the idea of any possibility of you coming back.

While you may show any evidence to prove to the contrary, I mean at the end of the day, what does it prove anyway? While I also fully support your decision of quitting, fighting this kind of battle relatively proves that the lingering feeling of gambling may soon convince you to do it again.

Block the stake email on the mailbox, I would hope that is a simple path to not seeing their offers though some mailbox designs are just really old and poor functionality.    Other ideas would be via some AD-block software or plug-ins for browsers.   These can be configured to be ultra conservative in the sites you see and the adverts thrown at you, I agree the industry does bare some weight in its actions not to target children and those who specifically requested they not be advertised to in this way but also there are actions a person can take on also that have to be employed to stop the possibility.   We should perhaps find a good browser config for excluding gambling sites in standard browsing, search results, related sites and advertising, I will try and find this information for the future as I know a few would find it useful to avoid temptation and repeating themselves as mentioned.

Block the stake email on the mailbox, seems a simple enough solution though some mailbox designs are just really old and poor functionality.  Does appear to be an oversight to continue or to not remove a name from a mailing list but often the two things are not the same details, some of the list not being account holders or duplicates etc.  I doubt there was any active attempt to lure people on a cease list.

That was what I was thinking. You can block the email of the site if you don't want to receive any more notifications. It is just mere alteration of the mail settings. The casino may have overlooked such request. But he can always get in touch with the support of the site and remind them of his request.

I don't really understand how much of a problem this gives to gambling addicts as I can control it even though I had been betting for a long time.
Now, about the e-mail issue. It seems to be getting longer and longer and it is not going to a good ending.

How much of a refund are you looking for? Did you remember the balance of your account and have proofs like screenshots? Maybe we can help more if you can provide that.

Second, if you really want out then do so by cutting all the connections like e-mail promotions or whatever it is. A simple solution is creating another e-mail which is easy nowadays.
But if your e-mail address is more important than preventing your gambling addiction then continue but I don't think this will end up the way you wanted and might even cause more trouble for you mentally.

Its really difficult to explain how it feels for a problem gambler to someone who is able to control theirself. The amount is around 7k$.

People nowadays are too much addicted in gambling but i guess its a good thing that you keeping yourself to make a recovery on too much gambling AFAIK there's a button unsubscribe to your email so you don't receive any kind of notification came from them also you can report as spam so it doesn't appear to your primary email. This is the reason why its ideal not to use our main emails to different transactions like this. Still its good thing to approach them with your problem so you can now peacefully recover.

Eddie says i am permanently banned self excluded. Then next week it did not become the case i was let in able to deposit and play and lose $$$.

( i have attached pictures as well as a post i made almost 2 years ago regarding same issue at askgamblers.com looks like they haven't improved at all)

There is no win situation for the Stake here. What do you expect them to do? You personally asked them to unban you. They don't know the details of your personal life and they refused to unban you, you could just go and leave a 1-star review for "They didn't unban me after I recovered from problem gambling" anyway. Regardless of the situation, you would always blame stake. This is a YOU issue. I have seen multiple people in this situation who asked to be unbanned and when refused they just went on to say "I'm recovering and need small doses of gambling, which the casino refused completely, and now it's worse".

You keep pointing fingers at the wrong people pal.

I don't know what's happening now , it has been a 3rd or 4th thread about Stake.com just in a week time so i was thinking if all of the issues are legit or an attack? if Stake representative is available it would be clearer if they will step up in each thread to explain their site because this is alarming.
I have known Stake and Primedice for years now and there are some small problem happens along the way but not as many as this just for a week time.

I don't know what's happening now , it has been a 3rd or 4th thread about Stake.com just in a week

I didn't realize that there have been multiple complaints. It would be nice to have a representative come here indeed but to be honest this is either a targeted attack or just a bunch of complainers triggering a chain effect. If you judge this thread objectively and replace Stake for any other gambling website and this just makes no sense. I understand that gambling addiction is an extremely severe topic but these people have to understand that the universe doesn't revolve around them. If the emails really were temping it's in his best interest to just either unsubscribe manually or block their address entirely.

That alone IS PROGRESS towards curing problem gambling. Reject the convenience and any temptations that is dragging you back in...
