Just curious, what was response by Stake Bitcointalk representatives aka Steve, Stunna?  Didn't find the proper response by OP, hope all mentioned issues are fixed. Btw, he can post in Stake forum too..

Stake does have some lapses or fault too but in general aspect then i would say that the user would be always had the fault on why he had tolerated that addiction inside of him which do controls of him.

I don't see any fault in the platform itself here. We as a gambler should know our own responsibility. We are not even sure that Stake is the only one exposed to the OP. Even he completely get rid of any Stake stuff, there always be a time that he will encounter a different site.

I hope OP is doing well now. Good luck to his journey of truly stopping his gambling activity.

They do have because if OP had requested out for some self exclusion then access to his own account shouldnt be possible since it would be restricted but if he do able to access it out
then it does means that they had forgotten on doing their job but as a player then it is really depending on your own self will on how to decide on things and its just common sense
that you wont be playing on that platform or making deposits since you had requested out for some self exclusion due to your addiction problems.
So i dont see the point on why he had really been forcing for some justice.

There were suggestions to you on what you should do. And if a representative has already talked to you, I think they've decided that's already enough on you and you should be the one to avoid it on your own. Although your concern is a matter of seriousness I think you should also push yourself to just avoid and follow the instructions given to you. I wish you recovery and hopefully it's a continuous thing in your end and you should remain responsible as you're in the process of it.

I know there should be an action that Stake should do as part of their commitment to their users but I can't just imagine that, is it only the Stake's action that will solve all this matter? They are not addressing the issue and you claim that they are ignoring you for several days but why still wait on their response instead of moving forward. Don't allow yourself to be stuck on that. I mean, no money was involved in pending status or on-hold.

You can still stay away from gambling even without waiting for Stake's response.

Seems like that there has been multiple reports in recent months about Stake not enforcing their voluntary self-exclusion principles.

Honestly, I think that at least some blame has to be attributed to the platform themselves. It's simply not good business practice to allow these loopholes/errors within their operations to happen, especially when they know they are dealing with problem gamblers.

But at the same time, it's not completely their fault given that anyone could realistically open a new account and start afresh on the platform. So it's really a mixed bag.

You realize that you have gambling problem, you should protect yourself as strong as you can. The key is on yourself, the longer you try to blame the casino the longer time you have to take to recover your addiction. If I were you, I'll just ignore anything related to gambling and find some other activities out there to forget about gambling.

I have no idea what do you expect now, what and how should be addressed now as your account(s) are blocked already as per the last email. Better not to mind the issue but rather thinking off on how he should resolved his gambling issues rather than trying to stir up things hard which its somewhat pointless because casino wont really be tending to listen it up
and actually it is his own fault on doing further actions even if he do knows that hes already excluded  and if you do make out some deposit then this is where
your mistake starts and i dont really see the point on making out some complaints on the action he had made.

But OP wants Stake to make some actions as according to him, it will be the only big and main reason to solve the problem. There's no other way according to his vocabulary. He doesn't like to help himself. Stake should be blamed for what happened to OP lol. It's like no option was left for him to recover from his gambling problem.

Let me explain the situation im in with Stake.com,
I am a recovering gambling addict with an account at Stake due to problem gambling.

This account has been closed for a long time and they still kept spamming me with promotional and bonus emails, even though they were fully aware of my problems.

I have contacted live support and the legal department, and they have admitted their was a error in their database allowing to send promotional emails to problem gamblers, they have let me know they have fixed it after my messages.



Unfortunately Stake is not taking any responsibility regarding my issue and will blame me for their mistakes.

I hope there is someone noticing the pain Stake is causing to some of the problem gamblers out there, and I still hope Stake will solve this issue with me.

I guess you are still subscribe to the promotional marketing list which automatically send you promotional materials through your email and if you want to stay away from stake, so since the account is closed you should unsubscribe from their email list.

They've already looked into it and they've talked to OP. It's that OP wants to address the thing personally removed by them although he can do it on his own.
It's a personal matter and the behavior of what has been brought is understandable since he's a recovery gambler. They've already responded and as said by OP, he's ignored now.

If you are true to your dedication that you don't want to gamble, you will soon recover even you will receive lots of emails from different websites. Don't blame them as in the first place, you are the one who allows yourself to be addicted to gambling. Help yourself in return.

Gambling addiction is not something that can be stopped easily but with the help of people around and himself working on himself by nit engaging in gambling activities. Maybe you don't know that all those adverts that is always sent to him can trigger the feelings of gambling again. Gambling addiction is a spirit which needs to be avoided of not.

If this is your mindset which is particularly or likely a fact then you should really make use of new emails which are only intended for gambling and wont make use your own personal email because

you would really be reading up these promotional emails even if you do already make yourself self excluded which i could say that they do have also some mistakes too but its your responsibility

on making out actions according on whats right and whats wrong.Even if you are a gambling addict you could still think off on the right way on dealing with things or a must done.

Can't we really change for good if the gambling site involved here which is Stake will not fix that policy? Do you mean, you have to wait before these email advertisements totally go to zero before moving forward?

I can't tell you what to do, but being in your place I would read all the replies in this thread and discuss them with someone who helps you to end your addiction. We are not certified specialists here, so all our advices and suggestions should be checked by a specialist.

Imo, giving money back to a self-excluded gambling addict would be a wrong move. What you need much more than money on a gambling site account is recovery from your illness. I sincerely wish you to get well soon.

It can be seen that you have never dealt with any addiction. OP realizes that he is addicted to gambling and tries to deal with it. Sending him promotional offers and bonuses is very unethical. It is as if someone is buying and bringing home alcohol every day to someone who is addicted to alcohol.

Hmm...I think with this kind of remarkable complains, they will have to fixed their policies and stop sending unnecessary ads to those people that had unsubscribed. Things have to be done in the proper manner. Maybe their might be other people who are facing the same situation but will never voice out because they think its unnecessary or are afraid about the  replies they'll get from other people. We don't have to support what is wrong. If I unsubscribed to your news letter, then stop sending me emails...simple as eating fish!

I understand your point of view, but I think you've strayed from the subject.
Of course we will all be flooded with spam ads on any topic.
The thing in this case is that the OP closed the account due to gambling addiction and Stakes.com knows it.
If they send these e-mails by mistake, they should turn off the newsletter and the case is closed. However, if they send them out knowingly about the problem, then it is very unethical.
