And Ukraine was "discouraged", read couldn't, attack Russian oil refineries before either. But Trump closing strait of Hormuz pretty much guaranteed that EU couldn't support Ukraine going into another winter like this. So now EU is running against the clock. Unless something drastic happens, like Russian total collapse, forcing Russia to the negotiation table in the next 3 months, not only will Ukraine be forced to agree on unfavorable terms, but it will also doom the EU to swing ultra right because the idiot EU clowns, in their infinite wisdom, decided to also bet the future of the EU on the Ukrainian outcome. If you don't care about achieving any strategical goals or territory gains, or pulling reserves away from Pokrovsk leading to Russia taking that strategically important city and opening the rest of Donbas to Russia, or loosing elite Ukrainian units to North Korean fighters, and only care about PR political points for your speeches in EU then sure guess, in that case, it might be considered that it went well

The fall of Kostyantynivka "is a matter of time", says Ukrainian frontline monitoring project DeepState.

Once that happens, logistical operations in the area will be more complicated and even remaining in Kramatorsk will become "extremely dangerous", it reports.

Another Ukrainian soldier whose unit is fighting in the city has said they are not getting the necessary reinforcements to cover their losses, and their commanders are reluctant to report about lost positions.

If they do, then they will be ordered to retake them: "We don't have enough people to hold on to what we still control, let alone organise assaults."

So Ukrainian soldiers claims that situation in Kostyantynivka is a major crisis, they don't get reinforcements to cover their losses, and they don't even admit lost positions up the chain of command because if they do, butchers from above will just order them to mount a suicide attack to try and retake lost positions, that they couldn't even hold in the first place, at any cost. Even DeepState claims that fall of Kostyantynivka "is a matter of time". But UA generals and Kyiv report that situation is under control and "the enemy has no success". Anyone still confused why the butcher was put in charge of UA soldiers for such operations? If i was given a choice between not a step back, or i'll be forced to retake lost positions without any reinforcements, I'd probably lie in my reports too. What smart leader wouldn't want to put his people in a such position of being disposable pawns for EU ideology.

“Syrskyi will kill us all,” said one soldier, who like others in this story spoke on condition of being granted anonymity.

The 58-year-old Syrskyi, who until Thursday was the commander of Ukraine's ground forces, has a reputation as a hard-driving Soviet-style general who puts his men in danger to reach his military goals, said a person with knowledge of Syrskyi’s operating style.
