In the last 24 hours, Russia attacked all over Ukraine with hundreds of drones and missiles. But Kiev and Odessa were hit hardest.

Ukraine shut their Internet down, probably so that Ukrainian citizens can't upload the damage videos of Ukrainian destruction. Such videos provide a negative Ukraine influence on Ukrainians and the world.

There is a big pocket of Ukrainian soldiers surrounded by the Russian military, with essentially no way out. It's in the Kharkiv area. This pocket is being split in two by Russian soldiers as they gradually overcome the hundreds of Ukrainian solders in the pocket. There is a small pocket slightly eastward that has already been completely surrounded by Russians.

Ukraine is making military advances into areas that Russia had already taken. Ukraine is doing this to distract Russian soldiers from the Kharkiv 'caldron'. And, it might be being done as a show of Ukrainian strength to sucker more funds out of the West. However, Russia is advancing in other areas, and will take this area back when they decide to.

Zelensky collapsed a couple of days ago from stress, and maybe from too much 'white powder' usage.

Doesn't seem to be going well for Ukraine at all.

Well, think Ukrainians are finally catching on that words of encouragement and state visits are just not enough compensation for being used as pawns. If Europeans want Ukrainians to die fighting Russia, at the very least Ukrainians can do is make Europeans pay for it. It took them long enough, but at least they're finally getting there. Ukrainian government volunteered it's people to be pawns, but they don't have to be cheap pawns!

IMF said that Ukraine's 2026 total budget gap will be $52B, but Ukraine wants $27B more, so $79B budget GAP only for 2026! For the reference, Ukraine's TOTAL budget for 2021 was about $45B when it had much larger population. I'm wondering why IMF restricted access to that site so now it can only be pulled from web archive

The US$136.5 billion financing gap over the 4-year program period is expected to be closed through committed donor support and flow relief from debt operations. In 2026, the US$52 billion gap is expected to be filled through disbursements under EU facilities

2025-According to Zelensky, under this program European partners had been providing funding only for weapons while refusing to pay for military personnel salaries. Ukrainians are not puppets, we pay our military ourselves!

How it's going:
2026-Zelensky said military salaries account for part of the funding gap, while most of the deficit is related to the need for drones and missiles We can't pay salaries to our military unless you give us more money!

So EU provides weapons, logistics, communications, intelligence, and UA army's pay. Can someone remind Z that he's NOT supposed to admit to being a pawn, or at this point no one really cares anymore? Are there any arguments left at all of this not being a proxy war? I'm genuinely  curious.

President Donald Trump this week again encouraged Volodymyr Zelenskyy to travel to Moscow to meet with Vladimir Putin, despite repeated past refusals, as the US looks to reignite Ukraine-Russia peace talks.
Zelenskyy declined the appeal made in his meeting with the US leader at the United Nations, and people familiar with the Ukrainian president’s position said Trump raising the issue upset him.

EU can't allow this war to end until they figure out how to resume supplies of cheap Russian resources. UK will continue its decline by importing expensive resources, Macron and Merz are on their way to be replaced, but EU needs to find money to subsidize their attack dogs Poland, Baltic states etc... as no way Russians would agree to resume supplying resources to them. Idiots got themselves into the corner where the whole EU experiment is now under question. Yes let's go against Trump and Putin, what could possibly go wrong...

Bit by bit, piece by piece, town by town, Russia is wiping out Ukraine and taking more Ukraine territory. At the same time, the West is providing armament to Ukraine so that it does a little bit of damage to Russia.

Russia is continually rebuilding. Ukraine is trying to rebuild a little. But the damage is so great to Ukraine, that it doesn't really stand a chance.

The big question is, if the West continually supports and supplies Ukraine with armament, will Russia be forced to use nukes? The second question is, if Russia uses nukes, will the West retaliate the same way? The third question is, will nukes destroy the world if used?

We are on the edge of nuclear holocaust. If the banks of the West fail, it will be all over for them. And there is a lot of turmoil in the banking system right now. Such revolves around banking people trying to outsmart the natural moves of the people to protect themselves financially. And this is being done, a lot, with precious metals.

With the ways communications almost can't be stopped - even if the governments shut down the Internet - the people are finding out what the banks are doing, and what the governments are doing, and will fight using the laws against the people of the governments. It's happening in the US all the time, right now, as the people wake up.

The people of Ukraine are waking up. Zelensky is hanging on by a thread.

Finally the people of Kiev are leaving en mass. It only makes sense, because Russia is finally destroying enough of it that Ukraine can't keep up. Ukraine is even considering moving its capitol to Lviv, and its embassy to Poland. Imagine the destruction of Poland if Ukraine does that.

In addition, Russia is taking over many Ukraine cities and towns, and is gradually making more Ukraine land its own.

Trouble everywhere. But much of the trouble is only imagined. Ukraine is reasonably large. If Russia conquers all of it, it will take more strength than Russia seems to have, now. The real question is, will the people of Ukraine allow this to happen? Will they not rise up and get rid of Zelensky and their military leaders who are causing this Ukraine destruction by continuing to fight Russia?

January 26, 2022-US, NATO respond to Russia's security demands
The United States and NATO said on Wednesday that they delivered written replies to security demands that Russia had made.

It comes amid heightened tensions and repeated warnings that Russia could be preparing military action against Ukraine.

Russia had demanded security guarantees that Ukraine would never join NATO, and that the alliance stops its eastward expansion — which the US and NATO rejected.

A diplomatic path forward

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the document addressed Moscow's concerns and raised those of Washington's allies but made no concessions.

"Putting things in writing is... a good way to make sure we're as precise as possible, and the Russians understand our positions, our ideas, as clearly as possible. Right now, the document is with them and the ball is in their court," he told reporters.

Blinken said he would speak with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, in the coming days.

The letter would not be made public, "because we think that diplomacy has the best chance to succeed," Blinken said.
