SKY- The one man army. It was a one man show for MI tonight. He was fantastic today.
How come MI is going to get the hell out of IPL in such a way. They have the glory, they have the team but they can't win. Is it the captaincy? I guess no. Rohit is a successful captain for MI.

If not for the successful innings by Suryakumar Yadav, Mumbai Indians would not even score 130 runs and there was a time when the odds for over 121.5 runs were over 1.45 and since Suryakumar Yadav were still in the crease i knew Mumbai Indians would reach over 140 runs but 151 runs is a great total. I picked Mumbai to win and they had a great start but then lost the flow.

Any issue with the Superbru as i am not able to see the full scorecard.

Same here as well. I have been going through this problem for the last few days. I was thinking it's problem from my end but since you are facing the same, I guess there's something wrong.
But what's wrong with MI? Anyone can have some good logic? Insights? I would really appreciate.

MI and CSK struggling to win a single match which is really weird as i thought they are the strongest teams before the start of the tournament and usually i do not watch all the matches but since i joined, i try to watch almost all the matches and what i understood is that MI is struggling with the bat and they do not have the bowlers to restrict the opponents like they used to do in the past.

The same with CSK, they do not having an attacking bowler and hence they are struggling as well.

IMO Main issue is in bowling department.

Bumrah looks off color because batsmen are careful against him and prefer to see him off without any risk, specially at powerplay (no respect at death tho). Basil Tampi is performing okay but they are not in sync and so far failed to compliment each other. Unadkat was playing his first game and he looked okay last night.

Murugan is good but spinner can only bowl in middle overs, also he's not taking wicket at all. He's not leaking runs but he's wicket taking bowler so he's failing there. Overseas bowlers in squad seems useless atm, that's why they are not even filling 4 overseas quota in the playing XI. This would change next year tho, if Archer is fit.

Despite last night batting collapse their batting lineup is not that bad. Ishan Kishan, SKY are excellent. New kid Tilak Varma is in amazing touch and already looking very experienced batter. Dewald Brewis is another wonder kid in MI and play some sexy cover drives, backfoot punch and pull against seam bowler but he's struggling against spin. He's young so he'll learn.

Rohit at powerplay and Pollard at death overs should contribute more with the bat, so far their performance is bit disappointing specially Skipper Rohit looks like dud and dead weight at opening slot.

Feels great to win both bets against CSK and MI yesterday. Honestly, it wasn't really difficult to predict the RCB vs MI result since RCB keep getting stronger while MI keep performing like crap for obvious reasons(Bowling etc).

I found it slightly tougher to predict the winner of the CSK vs SRH match since SRH is unpredictable while CSK also has been performing like crap, but SRH returned to form thankfully and I won my bet.

I don't think CSK and MI will win this season or even reach the playoffs which I feel is a good thing since I want to see a new winner this time around.

With the terrible start Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians had it would be a surprise if they reach the final four. The surprise of the season was the two new teams, Gujarat Titans as they picked really good players and are a balanced team and Lucknow Super Giants and are playing brilliantly.

Even in today's match Lucknow Super Giants needs 69 runs in 30 balls and i am not sure about their strategy as they are holding back Marcus Stoinis and promoting sloggers .

Edit: The strategy of holding Marcus Stoinis failed, they should have sent them earlier.

Lucknow was to win the match. Somehow Rajasthan Royals made it add points. The strategy failed just because Jason Holder wasn't able to give the right contribution. He was sent at that position to lower the run rate, but he wasn't able to perform and scored just 8 runs out of 14 balls. We can say this made it difficult at the end of the match.

In the past after losing four matches Chennai have reached the top 4 team list, but it was during the year 2010. Even that time it didn't loss in a series, but this time it has turned to be very narrow to reach the top list.

Rajasthan's bowling looking quite strong this season and they are packed with gun batters too. After so many embarrassing outing, this season they got very balanced squad.

Epic decision. Observed that no one acquired the margin point. SRH destroyed GT very easily which was unexpected since Gujarat were on a winning streak and were playing well as a unit together.

It was more like a brain fade moment lol. I guess its hard to get margin points, even 1 ball or single run changing everything.

If we rule out dew and toss then this season is heading toward unpredictable phase now. Strong team are struggling and the teams we considered weak in the past are leading the point table.

SRH did win the match but their batting still look shaky to me. I think their bowlers need to do heavy lifting in upcoming fixture, similar to last night.

MI, CSK both missing their prize bowlers Archer and Deepak Chahar respectively. Also they failed to find their replacement, which is hurting them.

Similar thing happened with the RCB yesterday. Their gun bowler Harshal Patel was unavailable and left the bio-bubble because of unfortunate event in his family (death of his sister).

Dube and Karthik are in the forms of their lives currently which is good for RCB. They lack good bowlers though.

People had very high hope from the Dube when he was making runs in the domestic. Most of em were comparing him with the likes of Yuvraj because of his clean hitting, which is true but he didn't do any justice to himself when he got the chance in the national team. Having said that i'm loving his new avatar and i really hope that he keep performing like that and hopefully in near future he gets another chance to serve the national team.

Few months back DK was doing commentary and look at him now haha.

This was very much chasable target and pitch was excellent to bat on. At one time they were in very comfortable position but damn 2 run outs at crucial time ruined everything. Tikal looks excellent batter but boy oh boy! this is second run out for him in this season, game awareness is there but he need to work on running between the wickets.

They are still working on their combination and it's clear that they didn't found any solutions yet. Can you imagine Unadkat batting at no 7, he knows how to swing bat but he's not no7. They have proper 4 tailenders.

Pollard and Rohit both are looking crap these days. I've mentioned last week that Rohit also averaging like in mid 20's, like in last 3-4 seasons but he had gun bowlers back then and inform Pollard-Pandya at middle order. Now Pandya is gone, Pollard lost his form and bowling line-up in shambles. They are not even using 4 overseas quota, it tells you lot about their messed up strategy in recent Auction.

May be they are banking on young guns for future. Tilak-Brevis-Sky-Kishan-Ashwin as a core team along with Bumrah-Archer.

Pandya was on fire with the bat today, not supporting Gujrat but his form is good sign for Indian team. He's also looking as far as his bowling is concern so its a bonus.

Butler also putting up good show here. He and Pandya both are competing for Orange cap tonight. Funny to see Ashwin at number 3, batting with Butler lol. Hope they don't run out each other.

Butler also putting up good show here. He and Pandya both are competing for Orange cap tonight. Funny to see Ashwin at number 3, batting with Butler lol. Hope they don't run out each other.  

I was stunned to see GT post 190+ since I expected them to score something close to 175+. Pandya was amazing towards the end. Buttler played well too while Samson getting run out was a game-changing moment.

RR has already lost 6 wickets and they probably will lose by a decent margin at this point. Looks like my prediction was wrong this time around.
