This particular season is way too long thanks to the introduction of 2 new teams. Personally, I am slowly losing interest in this season just like many others. They should go back to 8 teams or fewer matches with 10 teams from next season onwards.

This could help increase viewership ratings once again. Let's see if the BCCI learn from the mistakes that they made during this season.

Yeah, ideally it should be done n dusted with in 50 days but loony officials wants to milk every penny and in return broadcaster also wants the same.

In meantime umpiring and commentary standard going down dramatically. Willing to give benefit of doubts to on-field umpire because they are bound to make some mistake due to human error but 3rd umpires have no excuse of all.

And tbh i'm more pissed at commentary. After every ball they are pitching for Chips, swiggy drive, Cred, Tata bla bla.

Agreed. Some of the advertisements themselves are related to commentaries which confuses me sometimes. Also, I hate it when advertisements pop-up when there is a single ball remaining(Recent KKR innings) which is crazy annoying.

True. RR somehow surpassed Lucknow to end up in 2nd position due to which they get 2 chances while Lucknow got screwed. A final between GT and LSG would be epic.

I'm expecting a final between the team getting into the fourth position against Gujarat Titans. And the final being won by the fourth team. That would be very interesting, because entering the playoff at the last moment and further making two wins to enter the final and winning the trophy will be more interesting.

I think if RCB qualifies there are good chances that final would be  between GT and LSG only but if DC wins and qualify, i feel there are more chances for DC to go through the finals because of thei recent form against all the teams but anyways there is a 75% probability that we are getting a new winner of IPL this time and even if it's RR it's after 14 long years so it's like a new one only. Thankfully no MI,CSK,KKR in the list.

Ethical mind aka Ashwin Anna reinventing himself in T-20 format. He's definitely having fun with the bat, in this season i've seen all avatars of Ashwin. Economical bowler, Powerplay pinch hitter, Accumulator and last night the Finisher. 

In 14 matches he scored 183 runs with the average of 30 and freaking 146 SR. Also bagged 11 wickets with 7.14 ER.

The way DC top order batted it looks like they got bored from the tournament and is in no mood to get entry in the Playoffs. I can understand that it's tough road. Wake up early, do the drills, net practice, toss then spend 40 overs in the field.

Expected MI to win comfortably against DC and I was right. Got a margin point after a long freaking time. DC has been inconsistent throughout this season. They were over-dependent on Warner, Powell etc.

Also, it's not just DC who played like they weren't desperate. Teams like KKR, SRH, Punjab etc also played in a similar fashion recently. This is one of the reasons why ratings dropped this season.

Finally the four teams for the playoff is confirmed. Right now which team have got the highest chance of winning the trophy. I'm gonna support Royal Challengers Bangalore. To me, it is Royal Challengers Bangalore for some specific reasons. In the last match Kohli played in a pressure free manner and this can continue. It adds more power to the team. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants will play with more confidence.

Two team that impressed me the most this season was the newcomers Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants and i wont be surprised if any of the them end up winning the tournament. Rajasthan Royals also played well throughout the tournament and their potential is their powerful batting unit and later on started defending totals as well

Punjab didn't disappoint me as expected. SRH have been struggling like crazy during the 2nd half of this tournament which is why it wasn't surprising to see Punjab win comfortably against them.

SRH seriously need to look into changing their entire team management since they have been underperforming for the last couple of seasons(Warner issue, bad selections etc). Also, excited for the playoffs stage.

They will remain miss or hit franchise. They are known to follow same script every season, you can always find incredible players in the Punjab squad but somehow they failed to play as a team every single time (except when they were runner up), it tells you more about their management and supporting staff.

It's playoffs time people. It took 70 freaking matches this time around to reach the playoffs which was tiring for both the players and the viewers.

GT vs RR. Both teams have performed really well throughout the tournament. Gujarat is the favorite obviously, but we can never underestimate a team like Rajasthan who have players like Buttler who can single-handedly help them win games. Excited!

Want to put some money on Rajasthan but scared to death betting against Tewatia. Already lost few bucks because of him.

Gujrat bowling first so may be they have slight advantage but when you check the both teams it become hard to choose as both teams have at least 7-8 match winners. Even odds are almost same for both teams.

My bad luck with playoffs predictions continues. RR could have reached 200+, but they wasted some balls towards the end of their innings. Also, GT looks unstoppable currently.

In today's match, my favourite team was Gujarat Titans. But after giving Rajasthan Royals a target of 189 runs, I thought today I am going to lose the bet. At the same time, they lost Wriddhiman Saha's wicket early in the innings. Gujarat won the match only for the responsible batting of Miller and Hardik Pandya. If the batsmen can maintain such a performance, we will see the Gujarat team as the champions of this season.

Poor Krishna, he's a good bowler overall but had a terrible outing last night. Anyway Rajasthan have 1 more shot (positive of being top 2 at table).

I still can't believe that Gujrat already reached the finals without any fuss. They are setting up new trend of stacking batting lineup with finishers only (Wade, Hardik,Miller, Tewatia and in some extent Rashid).
