Galatasaray had a bad season. As a Galatasaray fan, I can't remember a worse season.
I don't think it matters who the coach is.
What matters is the quality of the player.
Okan Buruk or someone else... It can't change much.

After several seasons of being able to dominate the top flight of the Turkish Super League standings but this season was actually their worst season, inconsistent performances in the league forced Galatasaray to end the season in 13th place and clearly it was the worst season in the last 10 years, as one of the  giants team in turkey of course It's quite sad that Galatasaray condition is now and the fans are quite disappointed when they miss playing in European competition next season, I haven't seen any movement from Galatasaray in the transfer market and I think they should immediately fix the squad if they don't want to repeat their bad luck next season.

I'm personally looking forward to maybe this is one of the big changes that Karagumruk has made by choosing Pirlo as coach, it can be said that Pirlo is also coaching Karagumruk for Karagumruk's third season playing in the Super Lig. Karagumruk itself in the last two seasons managed to finish in the same position in 8th place, I think that is a great consistency that Karagumruk has made. Next season Karagumruk will be coached by Pirlo who is basically new as a coach but not too bad either, because I was still impressed when Pirlo coached Juventus. So, with Karagumruk's breakthrough, I'm really looking forward to the performance of this Karagumruk team next season under Pirlo's coaching whether it will quickly take over the top rankings or not.

Beşiktaş give inexperienced right back Kerem Kalafat to Rizespor on loan. He was behind Rosier but his development didn't go as well as expected. I don't think his quality is enough to start in Beşiktaş, he may be an emergency backup only.
On the other hand Kazımcan Karataş will sign soon. He's another young left back and become a replacement for Rıdvan Yılmaz. I think mainly Umut Meraş will start this year but I'm excited about Kazımcan's development. He's only 19 years old and already have one season experience in Super League level. He started majority of matches with Altay last season.

I'm happy to hear that the limit for foreign players didn't change for next season. The reason why I'm happy is that I believe teams need to sign as many as foreign players they can. We don't have too many very skilled Turkish players in the league now. In this condition we can't expect the big teams in our league to play with unskilled players just because they are Turkish. We need successes in European tournaments too so I hope we don't have any problem about this situation again in the future.

Gomis is too old even though he performed nicely last season. They can't continue to rely on only him. I think Babel also should be sent from the team like they did with Feghouli.

I agree about the striker. Gomis is a good striker, he did a good job last season and contributed to the team, but he needs an alternative. Due to his age, he may be injured and show poor performance. A complete innovation is needed in the midfield anyway. Ryan Babelde should leave the team. There is a lot of work to be done for Galatasaray. There is still no official statement, even for Okan Buruk.

I can't believe Okan Buruk decision is final, he is the new coach. Okan Buruk can't take the burden of this team. He will most probably fail. A poor coach, he can never be successful in a big team like this in this stage of his career. On the other hand, Fatih Terim is very very old. The game he plays is no longer enjoyable. Defensive back passes are his only deal. This team needs a disciplined and dedicated coach. Marco Rose is very good and cares about young players. But I can understand that circumstances are tough, Okan Buruk might be Galatasaray's only choice.

Why are you so negative about Okan Buruk? I believe he was the best choice for Galatasaray under this circumstances. Nuri Şahin is pretty inexperienced, Fatih Terim must be retired already, Marco Rose and other foreign options are too expensive. Okan fit Galatasaray so well and we know he wants to be in this club for a long time. I think he already prove himself in Başakşehir, it's very hard to make a team with no fans a champion. I don't know if he can be successful in Galatasaray or not but I know he was one of the best options out there.

Well, actually Okan Buruk's Basaksehir career slipped out of my mind for a second. I totally forgot about that. I shouldn't have been so harsh about his coaching. But still, I feel like Galatasaray should do much better than him after the terrible season they had last year. If I were a Galatasaray fan, I would be furious about how bad was Galatasaray managed and how much of a horrible season they had. For most part of the season, they were in the elemination zone. Galatasaray was laugh material for a lot of people. I genuinely saw fans of other teams made fun of Galatasaray fans 4-5 times at least in my daily life. Galatasaray president has been changed, I think it was expected that they should do extraordinarily good. But on the other hand, I can see the financial side of things. I guess best Galatasaray could do is Okan Buruk.

It has been a bad season for Galatasaray, no one expected that they would fall so far and be in 13th position at the end of the season. In fact this is the worst season I've known about them in recent seasons.
They definitely have to make a splash next season because if they continue like this the fans will definitely not be happy for them.
On the other hand I also agree with you about some players that should be added. Even if there isn't a major overhaul there, at least there should be a few players up front and defense.

Nobody rejected Beşiktaş. Beşiktaş is negotiating for a few players. Burak Yılmaz's name wasn't even mentioned outside of the fake press. Cenk Tosun is a possible Turkish alternative striker candidate. Luka Jović was considered on loan but he wasn't the strong candidate.
Weghorst was agreed financially, but his family didn't want to come to Türkiye. There are other very good candidates, a good striker will definitely be taken. There is no need to rush as it's the most important position.

Even if Galatasaray experience this kind of seasons from time to time they can still put their signature under unexpected results after that season. For example, Galatasaray finished the Super League at the 8th position in 2011 but they managed to become the champions right after that season.

They have to add some players if this is to happen. At the moment they are experiencing problems in their defense while their strikers are currently struggling in terms of performance.
Gomis who is currently the focus is also too old in my opinion, he is 36 years old and there must be regeneration that occurs if you want to improve his current performance.

Galatasaray have finally made their signing for their manager position. I don't even remember how many managers they changed in a short time period but I hope this time they can have a more permanent one. Okan Buruk is the new manager of the team. As a result, a name is put forward every day and sometimes a surprise transfer can take place in one day, while the player whose name has been written for months doesn't come.
Sampdoria wanted the young defender Serdar Saatçı. I think he should go and play in an important league like Serie A at a young age, improve himself, and earn money for Beşiktaş. Galatasaray need to learn to be patient also because they have changed so many managers in the recent times. I don't think that this is healthy for any team in the world. This can cause things to be more difficult for that team as the new manager will need to adapt to the environment for some time.

Honestly it looks like another terrible transfer from Galatasaray, as usual, they haven't made a good one in a long long time. They do not need a defensive player, they need a midfield and I mean they need it so much.

With the defense, they had marcao and victor which would be awesome duo, they do not need any help there at all, they have a good leftback as well, maybe sacha boey might be replaced but really not a big deal for the time being neither, hell their offensive line with mohamed, kerem and whoever they can find right now would still be good too.

Only thing they need is midfield, and yet they decided to spend the very limited resources on another defender. If this isn't some "let's make some money off this team via agents cut" deal, then I do not know Turkish football, typical useless transfer to get some money off the team and into the pockets of some people, obvious.
